"Of course! Just give me until the night and they'll all be gone..." smiled Tuggington
.....
"Get away from me you monster!" shouted a man as he kept shooting Tuggington, to no avail
"Sorry, but your luxurious gig is over pal! Say hello to your victims in the afterlife!" laughed Tuggington as he chopped off the man's head...
"That's the last leader Sir, should we add it like the others?" asked a pirate
"Of course, stick it on like the others..." replied Tuggington with a smile
The pirate grabbed the man's head and stuck it on the spear and took it out the building, while walking past hundreds of dead corpses...
.....
The next day, people awoke to see the heads of the three leaders of the Freedom Riders, the Knights of East Gartun. and the People's Liberation Army all on spears, with a sign that said, 'Sons of Freedom are taking back East Gartun once and for all!'
.....
"I took care of those groups Frank, a few fled the island when I went on my rampage, most are dead, but some joined my crew or decided to join your cause, about 250 for you and 25 for me..." said Tuggington

"Excellent. While the manpower potential would have been great, their lack of passion would have weighed us down. Now I'd like you to take a different approach. The group known as the coastal raiders- small navy, about 1/2 dozen ships, 800 men. We feel that if they see things our way they would be quite valuable to this fight. Think you can convince them to see things our way?" Frank asked.

"Men of the sea? If they are who answer the ocean's call, then I'll be able to hit close to home..." answered tuggington
.....
"Why have you met with us Tuggington? We don't normally associate with pirates..." grumbled Captain Mahjella, the leader of the Coastal Raiders, and former Navy Soldier
"Care to join my crew? Haha... In all seriousness, I'm sided with the 'Sons of Freedom' and their want to overthrow the Crastvin Family, they already have a plan in place, and with your naval might they'll be able make sure they'll have full control of the seas..." replied Tuggington
"How do I know what you're telling is the truth?" perked Mahjella
"Well, I'm the one who took care of those heads in the square yesterday... Plus, with my might and knowledge, as well as the advancements the Sons of Freedom have made on their own, if you side with them, you'll have a much higher chance of being successful, plus a larger access to resources and people to meet you out at sea with so you don't have to dock in port so often..." answered Tuggington
"Alright, you've swayed me to at least wanting to meet with the head of the Sons of Freedom to see if what you offer is the truth, so I'll come meet him tomorrow then..." responded Mahjella
.....
The next day, Mahjella met with the head of the Sons of Freedom to iron out the details, and Tuggington met with Frank...
"So how did I do? You ready to join my crew yet?" perked Tuggington

Elsewhere, Admiral Diesel walked into a building, where four other men were waiting. "Look who finally shows up," General Habour Ironwood said. "Sorry I'm late," the fleet admiral said. "It's all right," said Martin Sandici. "Now then, is there anything of note that we should begin with?" "Well I totally kicked the ass of a sky pirate," Admiral Diesel quipped. Sandici grinned. "Besides that?" "I don't believe so, sir," said Minster Fredrick Fraude. "Then let's get on to business. I've been notified by the Crastvins that there have appeared in East Gartun. Apparently there's more than one so I don't think it's surprising that they found it out." "So what should we do? Go in and destroy them?" asked Admiral Diesel. "On the contrary, I'd rather you helped them." "Good lord, why?" asked General Ironwood. "Because the Crastvins have become too big for their britches. Instead of ruling East Gartun like a leader should, kindly, with the love of the people at the heart of it, they've kept a tight reign on it instead, and it's something I'm very much against, and thus it's time they were replaced. Honestly, there's a lot wrong with this empire that I'm hoping to rectify, and I would too if only my sisters and my mother didn't always act like complete egoists. The only one who agrees with me is my brother Martino, but when he left and became a rogue, well that all went to hell..." "So, we are to...?" "To go to East Gartun and help out where necessary. I want to see the might of the people first however, so only step in when absolutely necessary." "Right you are." "Oh and Eyes, I hear an old friend of yours has appeared in East Gartun. This may give you the chance to capture him, and Ironwood to knock some sense into that boy of his." Ironwood and Diesel locked eyes with each other. They scowled. "Other than that I believe we're good. Minster Fraude, keep me updated. Harekett, keep working on your experiments. I feel you have a breakthrough coming soon. I'll see you all later." And so the Big 4 walked out. There was silence. Animosity lingered between Diesel and Ironwood. Finally the admiral could take it no longer. "Look, I know what you're thinking. But when I vowed twenty-three years ago to rid the world of pirates, I meant all of them. Son of yours or not, Tuggington must be punished for his crimes against the kingdom!" The Big Four General Habour Ironwood Minster Frederick Fraude Admiral David "1,000 Eyes" Diesel Head Scientist Sidd Harekett

EPISODE 8 At the headquarters for the Sons of Freedom, Frank made his position clear "My primary cause is the liberation of East Gartun from the Crastvin Family and the Empire; should I join your crew it will be after East Gartun is stable and the new government is in place. At any rate, I've got a job for you that's right up your alley" Frank said. "And that is?" Captain Tuggington asked. "We're having trouble securing adequate quantities of iron. So far, we've scrapped enough together to make one of the five ships for Operation Ironside, plus other resources, but we still need much more. You are a pirate, so go do what yo do best; pillage and plunder ships carrying iron, or steal it from Crastvin owned storehouses, and return it to us" Frank explained. "Why not just take over some mines on the island?" Tuggington asked. "Because we need refined iron, not iron ore. It is a fine difference, but a very important one" Frank explained. "Ok, suppose I get you your iron; what are you going to be doing in the mean time?" Tuggington asked. "I will be focusing on gathering intelligence for the factions we know least about, and bringing in factions that we can ally with. So, think you can secure us some iron?" Frank asked. ...... Some time later, Frank had found the "headquarters" of The Huntsmen; the four member faction of snipers. He could see them cleaning and prepping their rifles, and gathering powder and shot. "Come on boys, come on! We've got a big day ahead of us! This island isn't going to clean itself out you know" the eldest of the group, probably the leader, declared. "We're coming along as fast as we can sir; but do we really got to kill everyone? I mean there's four of us and a population of 250,000" one said. "Exactly, which means we got a lot of work to do, and a lot of killing ahead of us" the leader replied. "If no one is with us, then they are against us" another member concluded. "The Crastvins have oppressed us long enough, the factions fighting for control spend more time fighting with each other than the Crastvins, and the majority of the population just sits around doing nothing. It's clear to me what we got to do- get rid of EVERYONE and start over. We'll keep killing until this island is cleaned out, you hear?" The leader declared. "That's right! Man, it feels good to lead the good fight!" One member said "Come on, let's go hunting boys!" the leader said, as they marched off, in another direction from where Frank was. "This is insane! I mean, obviously they won't kill everyone, but if they succeed in killing important leaders that could be the key to uniting certain factions... I've got to warn my friends!" And Frank took off to warn his fellow Sons of Freedom. ...... With Tuggington off on business, his crew was left to watch over the Scrap Iron Dreadnought. All was peaceful until. *KABOOM! The Scrap Iron Dreadnought took a hit! An underwater explosion no one saw coming caused the ship to sink at its berth. It was utter chaos as the crew scrambled to get off the ship. "Welcome to East Gartun, gentlemen" a man said as he casually walked up to the crew. "Who the hell are you?" One of the Scrap Iron Dreadnought's quartermasters asked. "You can call me... Lord Anarchy, and I am the leader of the Sons of Chaos." he stated "Why the hell did you sink our boat?" He fumed again. "Didn't you pay attention? I live for chaos; my goal is to drown this island in the anarchy it so desperately needs. And once the Crastvin family and all the factions are gone, then East Gartun will be free" he declared. "Please, you're nothing but a hypocrite; you claim to stand for anarchy and yet you call yourself the leader of your faction?!" The quartermaster pointed out. "It is but a formality; once the Crastvin and all factions are gone, I shall step down and take my place among the people" Lord Anarchy replied. "But why attack us specifically?!" The quartermaster asked again. "Chaos is indiscriminate; as long as there is something to destroy, we attack. Good day gentlemen" Lord Anarchy said as he turned around and left. "We're not done with you yet!" The quartermaster fumed. But before they could give chase, another explosion destroyed part of the dock, leaving the crew trapped on a section separate from the rest of the dock. "Captain Tuggington is not going to like this" the quartermaster said. though the scrap iron dreadnought was largely intact, it was going to be hard work raising it

Tiberius had donned his orphan disguise and was meeting some of the smaller factions to get an idea of how he could make a profit here.
A representative of the Cult Of Timeria was giving a speech on a corner. "They call him many names: Timeria, Vacadoi, The Horned One, but whatever his name is, he will return to unify the five lands, and we will ensure that East Gartun is cleansed for his arrival!"
"Hell no."
"The reason all previous communist governments have failed is because they abandoned the core ideal of communism: power to the people. Previous communist movements, including the Soviet Brotherhood, establish figureheads who live in luxury while the people starve. The Order Of The People Of East Gartun are different. We will have a truly communist society where all are truly equal, because contrary to popular belief communism isn't bad in and of itself, it's human greed that is its downfall, and we belief reducing government to strictly controlled law enforcement and courts where all people are equally likely to serve on the jury."
"Sounds really good, but communists wouldn't pay me..."
"The Knights Of Liberty will bring to East Gartun something it has lacked since even before those Crastwin bastards came to power: gender and race equality!" A woman yelled. "We will do anything in our power to establish a truly equal democracy for all."
"Ooh, there's a good one. Let's see what they'll pay me." And Tiberius approached the woman.

"Excuse me, your faction interests me. I was wondering if you could tell me more about the Knights of Liberty?" Tiberius asked.
"Hello there. Yes, I am Agatha, the leader of the Knights of Liberty. My faction seeks to unite East Gartun under Democratic rule where Men and Women of all races are truly equal. All men AND women are welcome to join our cause"
"And look where that got you" a voice said condescendingly.
"You..." Agatha said sternly. It was Sebastian Garillo, leader of the Garillo Syndicate.
"Only those like us are fit to serve in positions of power and you know it. Once we topple the Crastvin, we shall establish an economy that runs on the slavery of the lesser races" Garillo said.
"Your ideals are horrible and you know it!" Agatha fumed.
"And yet they are more popular. My syndicate already boasts 400 members to your 80. And unlike you grab bag of men and women, my syndicate is full of trained, able bodied men ready to take the fight wherever it is" He taunted.
......
The leaders of the Sons of Freedom (Which, btw, are 5 men and 3 women) were discussing the various factions.
"That idea may be too revolutionary though... are you sure we must pursue it" one cautious commander said.
"Yes; gender and race equality must be part of our doctrine, otherwise we will be no better than the Crastvin family or the Empire they serve" One male commander said, as the three women leaders nodded in agreement.
"Then why are we called the Sons of Freedom?" One of the female leaders asked.
"Because females only make up about 30 percent of our membership and "People of Freedom" doesn't roll off the tongue as smoothly" the same leader explained.
There was no arguing that point.

"What about "Champions Of Freedom?" Tiberius asked.
"How'd you get in here?"
"Trade secret." Tiberius explained. "Say, how do you feel about the Sandici family? 'Cuz I've got Martino's- eh, child, and the de facto heir to the throne, Rileius, captive on my ship."

"Personally, we'd rather not make any direct moves against the Sandici just yet; we'd rather deal with the Crastvins and have East Gartun secure before taking on the whole empire" one leader explained.
"Don't worry, I won't bring your group up. At any rate; I think you'll be interested to know I found out some information on some of the factions" Tiberius said.
"Really?" One leader asked.
"Yes; I was passing through town earlier, and, well..."
(flashback)
"There's nothing good to come out from you taking power; let's see how long your faction lasts after your untimely death; gentlemen, seize her!" Garillo declared as five well armed Garillo syndicate enforcers approached Agatha"
Tiberius looked on at what transpired next...

Agatha whipped out twin swords and in three swift strokes from each, the five mooks were headless and Garillo was holding the stump where his right hand used to be.
"I should have killed you, you monster, but we're about mercy in the Knights of Liberty."

"What an awful man" Agatha said to herself

Meanwhile, Tuggington had returned from raiding warehouses for their iron supply, as well as stealing a ship filled with an iron delivery for the Crastvins, now loaded with the raided iron as well...
"I leave for 3 hours and I come back to salvage efforts! What the hell happened to my ship!" yelled Tuggington
"Well, well some of our guardsmen were on duty, they didn't notice one of the factions you've angered float an underwater explosion and cause the hull to sink, proclaiming some crap about chaos and scurrying away before we could drown the rat... I guess we shouldn't have docked in such a well known port, eh?" reported Tiergan
"Alright, what's the damage then Pett?" asked Tuggington
"Well, the metal plating on the ship saved the keel from being damaged, mind you if that had been blown up, we would be in the market for a new ship, but with salvage efforts already ongoing, it will take a few weeks to fix, plus gathering the right parts might even put as a month or two back even..." replied Pett
"Even just getting her seaworthy, how long would that take?" asked Tuggington
"about a week, week and a half, maybe..." answered Pett
"Focus on at least that for now, we'll get her back to her former glory soon enough... Gentlemen, let's go find us our 'rats', shall we?"
.....
In the middle of the night, a giant explosion was seen all across the island, thousands laid dead, bodies were being dragged out of the sea, and people were being burnt alive in funeral piles across the exploded warehouse that had once been the base of the Sons of Chaos... Their leader, Lord Anarchy, was missing an arm, and an eye, bleeding heavily, and on the verge of death...
"Metal Monster I presume... I see you're a follower of like minded principles..." laughed Anarchy as he coughed up blood alongside his chuckle
"No, but I do believe in 'An eye for an eye' in certain cases, this being one of them... If you have a problem with me, fight me one on one, don't you ever drag my ship or crew into a conflict with me! Make sure to tell that to all those bastards in hell while you're at it!" screamed Tuggington as he readied his gun
"What conflict? I only did what was necessary for total anarchy..." laughed Anarchy as Tuggington scowled and shot the man point blank in the head, square in the forehead, and watched as his lifeless tumbled uncharismatically into the sea...
Tuggington and his war party of 100 men were responsible for the slaughter of all 12,400 men of the Sons of Chaos, and not a single pirate lost his life in their raid against the anarchists...
This event caused a stir somewhere, rocking people to their very cores...

Tiberius in particular was pissed.
"Look, Tuggington, I get they were horrible people, but you mercilessly slaughtered 12000 people! Women and children too! I'm a mercenary, not a murderer. I can't be part of a crew that murders so wantonly."

"You want to know what I found in their base Tiberius? These Sons, and a majority of them were men, were goddamn cannibals, I found starving, and badly beaten woman and children, most likely used for sex or goddamn food, and I overheard this Lord Rat Bastard proclaim it was an anarchists' right to do as he pleases and he used the term as an umbrella to unite all kinds of scum and villainy that upsets even a pirate like me... While we snuck into their meeting, a woman and her two sons with their little breath, begged me to kill them and end their suffering, whatever diseases they had could never be cured and they were all doomed to rot in agony... I wish their souls good rest, but that organization didn't meet in a clubhouse, but a slaughterhouse... I ended their suffering and took care of those bastards once and for all..." answered Tuggington, with visible disgust on his face as he recounted the night afore...

EPISODE 9 At the base of the Sons of Freedom, Tuggington was being celebrated as a hero for destroying the faction that many considered to be the most dangerous of the 28. "I have seen many things as a pirate, but even I would not stoop as low as what these men did! I can only hope that the Sons of Chaos' destruction aids in your cause" he proclaimed. "Indeed it did; thanks to your efforts the Sons of Freedom are now the largest of the factions; and stopping their random attacks will greatly aid us in the long run" one of the leaders declared. "So what now?" Tuggington asked. "Well, if it is met with your approval, once your ship is floated, we can bring it here to our harbor; since it is sheltered your ship will be protected better and the iron you just recovered can be put to good use repairing your ship; we can halt construction of the ironclads so our dock workers can speed up your ship's repairs" Frank offered.

"I don't want to burden your shipwrights, as long as you provide a place of safety and the materials, that's all I'll need, my shipwrights and engineers are some of the best from across the seas, and from your offer, if you need anything they've cooked up, or building methods I'm sure they've heard of, just ask and my crew shall answer..." replied Tuggington with a smile

"Thank you; perhaps when your repairs are complete, your men could help expedite construction of our ships" Frank requested.
"Maybe... what would you offer in return?" Tuggington asked. Frank thought about it for a moment and asked. "Does a breech loading cannon interest you?" Frank asked. And he proceeded to take Tuggington to an area where the prototype had been completed and was undergoing tests.

"It interests me, but I have equipment designed by my crew that can do just as well, honestly, if you let my men talk with your people, we might be able to have contraptions that rival Harekett's work..." laughed Tuggington

"Not a bad idea... though I was wondering- how exactly are your ships supposed to move without masts and sails?" Tuggington asked.
"You're going to love this... we figured out how to propel a ship... with a steam engine" Frank declared proudly.
