As the party proceeded, Frank continued to work on the wireless.
"Sounds like they're having a grand old time; too bad i never drank" Frank quipped as he continued working; albeit the noise was distracting.
"Darn it all, well I suppose I should at least see the situation topside" Frank thought as he went up:.
Walking around and not really talking to anyone, Frank made his way to the stern and looked out over the horizon.
Sailing with pirates; and after some time in the navy and with a shipping company- he really was getting all the perspectives of life on the sea.
But in the distance, he saw it. A few ships sailing off. Two were lighter warships, and the third...
A slave ship. A damn slave ship. So close and yet there was nothing he could do. Frank's blood boiled at the mere sight of it
......
On East Gartun, the new government and reforms exponentially improved life on the island. One law in particular stood out among the new ones. A testament to the progress the Sons of Freedomfought so hard for:
"Any serf, peasant or slave that comes to East Gartun fleeing involuntary servitude that is not the result of a criminal conviction is hereby granted East Gartun citizenship and the full rights and freedoms guaranteed by our government. People are not property and cannot be owned; therefore any claim of ownership a man has to another is null and void upon the slave, serf or peasant's arrival to East Gartun."

Tiberius was not on board the ship with the others, he had something he had to take care of...
***
Timothy Gartun Charlesburgh (No relation to the other TGC) was a young officer in the Royal Navy. When he spotted the Saltash in the harbor of Juntero Port flying a flag of surrender, he quickly hurried down to the harbor and boarded the ship. A young man was there, with an older man tied up and unconscious in the corner.
The young man spoke with a thick Yasprian accent. "Well, see here, my name is Tiberius Zeno. I saw Rileius' kidnappin' from my ship and set off in pursuit in my own ship, the Grey Eagle. I eventually was able to find this ship, and after a bloody battle took at the cost of me own. This man here was the one responsible for the crime."
"I am not! He's lying! My name is Sebastian Garillo, I'm completely innocent! He did it! His accent isn't even real!"
"He's a coward, like all criminals." Tiberius said condescendingly. "In Yaspria we just kill them if they break the laws."
"Well, this isn't Yaspria, so Mr Garillo will have a fair trial at the least." Charlesburgh said. "Still, you brought in the most wanted criminal in the Aderan Isles, so the reward is yours. I don't suppose you saw the ship or our missing royal?"
"He claims he sunk 'em off East Gartun. I did some diving meself, I didn't see no ships but there was some mighty fine linens down there." Indeed, Tiberius had sunk a small fortune worth of linens off the shore of East Gartun, knowing they were a pittance compared to the rest of his new-acquired wealth.
"So, Rileius is dead then. A tragedy."
Both hung their heads in silence for a moment. Tiberius broke the silence suddenly.
"Say, a small favor? My own ship is lost with all hands, and I was wonderin' if I could take this one. A lick of paint and she'll be on a new path to future greatness."
"Well, ordinarily we'd burn a ship that was involved in such an heinous crime, but in exchange for a cut of the reward I'd be willing to bend the rules a little."
So it was that a few days later, the newly rechristened and repainted Grey Hawk departed Juntero to rejoin Tuggington's fleet, with a gleefully smiling Tiberius at the helm.

And what became of the Grey Eagle, you may ask?
Well, Captain Jones and Frank's shipmates returned to their regular duties, shipping cargo all over the Greater Islands region. Frank promised he would return one day, but and Jones assured he would always have a place on the Grey Eagle.
Indeed, to this day, they still sail the Aderan Sea, and Frank's legacy assures them safety as they make their crossings
(We see a scene of them driving off pirates by raising a plague flag)
(Forgive me Toz, I wasn't sure which were lies and which were truths there- but I wanted to clarify that in case it was still afloat)
......
Frank had gone back down below, and in a matter of hours had his telegraph set up.
"All right, now let's see what this thing can do..." Frank said as he proceeded to get messages going.
"Any ears? Any ears?" Frank began messaging in Morse Code from his telegraph. He knew that Tiberious fellow had one set installed on his ship, so he gave it a try.
"Saltash, Saltash, can you hear me? New set, testing out" Frank messaged in Morse code

"This is the Grey Hawk, as we're now known. We hear you loud and clear." Tiberius responded.

"I know there isn't too many people to talk to; given that the only telegraph sets are on your ship, this ship and scattered all over East Gartun, but how is the apparatus working our for you lot?" Frank asked in Morse code.

"Very well, I don't suppose I could have the design?" Tiberius replied. His mind was already filled with ideas of what he could do with the powers of wireless technology.

"You'd need permission from Mr. Marconi back on East Gartun; it's his design, not mine. If you are sailing east, you should be within range of East Gartun soon enough; his ID letters are GMM; and remember, mine are FTT" Frank replied.
"Its too bad we can't send voices directly, eh?" Tiberius replied
"I don't know... Morse code does give a certain security to our messages; after all the Empire doesn't have this technology" Frank argued
"I look forward to getting those designs... I feel there is much potential for improvement" Tiberius said
"Mr Marconi will be pleased to hear that" Frank replied.
"I trust everything is well on your end?" Tiberius asked.
"Indeed; did your latest operation go well?" Frank asked

"Flawlessly... I hope." Tiberius replied.
Soon, he'd stopped at East Gartun, gotten blueprints for most of the inventions the Sons Of Liberty had created, and rejoined Tuggington's ship.

As the two ships settled, Frank went to Tiberius, who was overlooking the blueprints of the various technologies the Sons of Freedom had created.
"So, what do you think? Certainly an improvement over the old muzzle loaders, wouldn't you say?" Frank asked as Tiberius looked over Frank's designs for breechloading cannons and self-contained shells.

"Pretty destructive. I'll have to make something like these for myself. I have to ask, though, why? Why did you feel the need to find a way to kill more efficiently? Isn't there enough bloodshed in this world without the capacity to kill six people in ten seconds?"

Frank sighed, "I regret that... it was a necessary task in order to ensure a greater good. The Crastvin's controlled the island with an iron fist and had the best equipped military force of the whole Aderan sea, for both the Navy and Army. The only way the revolution could stand a chance to succeed was to create technology that bested what they had. Otherwise they would have crushed us with numbers and skill alone. Believe me, my dream is to one day retire from this strife, and focus on inventions that make life more comfortable rather than on weapons of war" Frank explained.
"Like what?" Toz asked.
"See the generators that power the wireless? Imagine them being bigger, and being able to power a house, a town, a city or even an island. Then people would not need to depend on coal or kerosene. Candles would be replaced by lights that... well, I haven't quite figured it out, but these lights would not have a flame, and thus would not risk tipping over and burning the house down" Frank explained.

"You mean like this?" Tiberius pulled something out of a crate. It was a glass jar with a wire running through it.
"The Nurviun Wizards made this. It's called an "Electro-Light"." Tiberius connected it to a small generator he had next to the telegram, and it began to glow a warm Yellow light.
"It's hot to the touch, but much safer then a candle, and lasts about a week before the wire wears out."

"Yes, exactly. Some of the boys back home were working on something similar, but the filaments either were too bright or did not last long enough to be practical" Frank explained.
"So what's supposed to power this giant generator of yours? Coal? That black stuff, oh what's it called... crude oil, I think?" Tiberius asked.
"Actually..." Frank said as he pulled out a diagram.
"I shudder at the thought of giant chimneys spewing smoke and making everyone unhealthy by polluting our air. So this will be my retirement project. You know the windmills used to grind flour? Well, imagine a windmills that can produce power like generators. It's a pain in the neck, but again, my retirement project" Frank said, revealing the prototype blueprints.

"Perhaps since we're on the ocean, a watermill would also be worth considering." Tiberius suggested.
"Maybe, but that needs a stronger current, like a river."
The two pored over diagrams, even skipping breakfast, until they were interrupted by Tuggington himself.

Rileius, meanwhile, was having a miserable time. They had been locked in one of the storage decks on the Queen Redicci III, with no way to escape. Tiberius' friends brought them food and water, but there was still no hope for reprieve. And it was very dark, with the only light coming from an electrolyte at one corner of the room. How Rileius relieved themself is too horrifying to recount here.
Luckily, Rileius was more skilled then your average royal. With all the gender confusion, they had been brought up with both the ability to fight like a prince, and the ability to play the damsel in distress like a princess. So they began moaning about having a fever.
Their plan failed. They just gave her some chicken soup, a loaf of bread, and some butter. But that came with a spoon and a butter knife, which gave our hero/heroine an idea...

Rileus proceeded to take action ...... Tuggington stumbled into the room drunk as hell, and passed out by their feet (This post approved by Tuggington himself )

Frank just sighed at the situation as Tuggington pretty much fell asleep.
......
At a meeting of the nobles of the Aderan Empire, they were expressing horror and disgust at what had happened on East Gartun.
"What nonsense? Power to the people, pah! Only the aristocracy deserve to rule" one Yaspria noble declared.
"It will never last; soon enough someone will rise and take power, and the "Republic of East Gartun" will cease to exist" another declared.
"They will pay for the death of my brother" a voice said. It was Clifford Crastvin; brother of the late Bernard Crastvin. "Sandici is very hands-off with the day-to-day affairs of the Aderan Empire, so we can field our military's without approval from him. I say, we combine our forces, and work to take back what rightfully belongs to the Sandici Family" Clifford declared, to the approval of other nobles.
(NOTE: This will not be an arc, but rather a "Sub-arc" so I have an excuse to eventually go back to East Gartun and continue my world-building)
......
Frank went to his telegraph and was in touch with his friends on East Gartun.
"The Constitution and Bill of Rights were passed by a unanimous popular vote; the people have been celebrating for three days"
"That is great to hear. What of the island itself"
"First priority is repairing the damage; infrastructure and redevelopment projects are going forward. Most noble estates are being dismantled and are excellent supplies of resources. We are considering building a capitol building on the former Crastvin estate"
"That would be a most excellent site. Who has been elected to power?"
"Elections have not been held yet; we have guaranteed the vote to all citizens over the age of 18, regardless of gender, race or religion"
"Fantastic; best of luck"
"You too; see you when you return"
And Frank turned back to the situation. "Say, what are we sailing for anyway?" Frank asked.

EPISODE 21 On Vaximus Mothmar (sorry, forgot the spelling), Martin Sandici had called together his Big four for a meeting. "The recent actions on East Gartun have gotten me thinking gentlemen; perhaps there is a lot we could do to improve the empire, and as my Big Four I want your feedback" Sandici explained. "What is it you want sir?" Fraude asked. "While I understood my great-great grandfather's intentions with the current system of nobility, I for one despise the idea of noble women being raised effectively for the sake of being married off. I support the University of West Deminoli's decision to go co-ed, but I need your feedback on something... should I abolish the current system of nobility as it stands? And if so, what should we replace it with?" He asked. The four huddled together for a bit to discuss what Sandici had said. ...... The Scrap Iron Dreadnought had docked to take on supplies. Frank had been thinking; it had been two weeks since leaving East Gartun and though he supported Tuggington Frank couldn't help but feel guilty; he had effectively helped the revolution of East Gartun, but then vanished as soon as the revolution was over. How could he justify that to himself?! So, he made a decision. That night, he would leave Tuggington's ship and get the first boat back to East Gartun; he helped fight the revolution, therefore he was responsible for helping the rebuilding of the island. "Forgive me Tuggington; but the fact that I just up and vanished from my home island doesn't sit well with me... I need to go where I need to be" he said, preparing to explain to Tuggington his guilt for abandoning East Gartun when he was needed most. (Translation: Frank will go back to the East Gartun shipping company and continue his voyages to the various islands, worldbuilding along the way)
