"If my ancestors' records are correct, the Spear Of Criddleton is at the bottom of this lake." Man In Gold said.
"I hope so. The Bronze Mage is an extremely tough enemy." Man In Blue said. "It's a good thing the narrator had the idea for us to find our ancient artifacts."
"Well, I just have to dive in and get it, right?" Man In Gold pulled off his coat and jumped into the lake... and immediately started dissolving.
"Oh god! I'm melting! Melting! Oh, what a world, what a world!"

Grampus descended to 500 feet and held position. Vivian Bloodsphere briefed the duo at the airlock.
"These oxygen masks should be enough to get you to the janitorial entrance, and from there you can sneak right past security to the first level."
"This'll be tough." Man In Steel observed. "Impel Down has never been broken into before."
"If anyone can do it, we can." Chaos said, more confident than he felt.
"Alright, we'll see you on the other side." Vivian said cheerfully.
Vivian stepped out and the inner hatch sealed. A few seconds later, the outer airlock began to open. Water began to seep in.
"Ready to take the plunge, Steel?" Chaos asked cheerfully.
"...Steel?"
Chaos turned to where the colorman had stood only seconds before. A strange, goo-like substance now floated in the water near Man In Steel's oxygen tank
Chaos sighed. This mission just got a whole lot harder.

Man In Blue dropped Tomix Henry and went flying, landing on the roof of Tidmouth Sheds. Silvestron flew over with a nasty, mocking laugh.
"Now do you understand? I am Silvestron! I am the most powerful being alive! Those Cubii? Metalicana? Stormhart? Pushovers. Pathetic."
Man In Blue could only lie there, cradling his broken wrist.
"I could kill you in a million painful ways. But I think I'll settle for a simple one. Something that was foreshadowed all the way back in the original arc. The Colormen's weakness."
A raincloud materialized over Tidmouth Sheds. Man In Blue stared up at it in dismay. "No..."
Silvestron flying away was the last thing Man In Blue saw before the rain began.

Adrianna awoke from a bad dream.
"Oh god... I swore I would never do this again, but I have no choice. I need to summon... him."
Adrianna walked to a chest in the corner of the cart and pulled out a lampshade. She placed it over a lamp, and the lamp transformed into a ornately carved work of art, with seven engraved beings decorating each side of it. With a sigh, she pressed down on the head of one of the figures, and a red mist entered the room.
A red creature with a toothy red beak and feathered, clawed wings perched on the edge of her bed. "You have summoned Retcon, one of the Metajinn. You now have one retcon. Use it wisely."
Adrianna gulped. "Retcon out the fact that water kills Colormen."
"Done. Colormen can now swim to their heart's content."
Adrianna sighed in relief.
"Well, if that will be all, I'll just return to the lamp..."
"Wait!" Adrianna gasped.
"This better be good." Retcon snapped.
Adrianna took a deep breath. "Retcon out me and Ruth kicking out Man In Pink for being trans. He left voluntarily to find himself."
"There will of course be a penalty." Retcon said. "I'll have to add a new inconsistency."
"I understand." Adrianna said.
"Great. I shall make Thomas Gold suddenly go from too dumb to live to intelligent, brooding, and dangerous with minimal explanation, then have him even more abruptly switch to a combination of his two characterizations with even less justification or even acknowledgement."
"But... that's really inconsistent and-"
"Good-bye!" And the red mist began returning to the lamp.
"RetCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!"
