This is the group run by Vladimir the Smelters' Diesel along with his allies Karl, Marx, and many more! Here we can discuss his movement or anything else related to the group!

I'm curious to know what their backstories are.

I might write it down fully eventually but here's a quick summary: Vladimir, Karl, and Marx all worked together in a rail yard somewhere in the heart of Russia. After the Sodor Ironworks had to constantly contract Arry and Bert to the railway so many times, they thought it would be more effective to purchase a new diesel to deal with the shunting inside the Smelting Shed, and it was determined it would be the cheapest to buy a diesel in Russia. The men from the Ironworks were taken to the rail yard of the three and determined that they would either buy just Vlad, because of his size, or Karl and Marx, because there was two of them. After seeing Vlad taking control of the shunting and being able to manage Karl and Marx to be better shunters than the engines were on their own, all three were purchased as a result. They were than shipped to Sodor and became working in Smelting Shed. I'm sure they had some zany adventures going to and once they arrived on Sodor, so I wouldn't mind writing a book about them eventually, in more detail than above of course. Also, here are the bases of the three if you were wondering: Vlad's Basis (Note: Even though he may not look like it due to his size, he is classified as a 'Shunter') Karl/Marx's Basis

Anyways here's a list of the LRM's members: CURRENT MEMBERS: Derek - Reason for Joining: Is treated poorly when getting repairs, even at the Dieselworks, so if the Revolution succeeds, he wants all diesels the equal right to be repaired, no matter who they are Neville - RFJ: Joined to get his voice heard, and to get back at the steam enignes and diesels who were mean to him when he first arrived Dennis - RFJ: Found engines sleeping in between waiting for trains unfair, so he joined so he had the ability to sleep whenever he wanted and not have to work as well Billy - RFJ: Joined to fulfill his own 'agenda', whatever it might actually entail is currently unknown Barry (the Rescue Engine) - RFJ: Joined the revolution so he would never be forgotten, since no one seems to remember who he actually is... FORMER MEMBERS: Bash, Dash, and Ferdinand - RFJ: Since Misty Island was destroyed, they joined so the Sudrian Engines would truly fear their names, but Vlad got tired of them so he tricked them into being their 'sacrificial lambs', so now they are currently trapped on the ruins of the burnt, Non-canon Misty Island Need any more info on these guys, just go the the original post about their joining, here: 3wsr.proboards.com/thread/175/game-ii?page=46

I just realized, I've never actually posted their exact basis in here, well in The Game at least, I might as well do it here:
Vladimir's Basis: Russian TEM18V Diesel
Karl/Marx's Basis: Russian Twin-Axle Diesel-Battery Shunters (Note: I've tried to look for their exact name, but all I could find from the article reporting about them, since I guess they're a new type of Battery Shunter, is that their twin-axle, so that's what I'll call them until I can find their exact name...)

Tug, I have an idea.
At the end of a post, in the middle of the night, Vlad is meeting with an engine, who says he would like to join the LRM. There is a bit of a conversation, until the question of the engine's name is asked. The answer: Thomas
Now let me explain, this is not Thomas Thomas, this is a different Thomas, as some lore is explained. When Thomas was first going to be bought, the descision of the name of the engine was left to the Fat Director's Close Friend, Wilbert Awdry. Wilbert decided to let his son choose the name, and it was decided that the name of the engine would be Thomas. However, Thomas was originally going to have the basis of the original Wooden Thomas, but there was a problem with the shipping, and instead a billington E2 was sent, and where the E2 was going to be sent, arrived this Thomas. The owner of this Thomas, let's call him Thomas 42, refused to give Thomas 42 to the fat director after he arrived, and things happened, and eventually it was decided that our Thomas would stay on the NWR. Thomas 42's RFJ is because he is overshadowed by Thomas. I feel Thomas 42 may attempt to overthrow Vlad later on. I don't know how Thomas 42's arc will end, but I think he'll die, but if he doesn't, at no cost will he join the NWR
