Hey guys, now that it's a new year, I was thinking the next big arc should be in space...
This might be out of the blue, but we haven't really done anything in it yet, and it might be fun going on a space adventure in the game for a bit...
The best idea is to start this idea after we finish the Steam Festival, and I want to get your opinions on this idea and I also have a question for you...
Who should we send into space because we certainly can't have everyone go or else the story might get cramped and overflow, so here I think we should vote on how gets to go.
It can range from VEC members to Engines, so who do you want to see go into space?

This sounds like a good idea, Tug. I myself won't go, as I've got too much work with my Diesels.

Though this won't happen for a while, here are some pf the characters I think we could work the most with if we do this arc:
- The Five Main Writers
- Colormen Inner Circle (Blue, Silver, Gold, White, Black, Steel, etc..."
- Bronze Mage and other "fun" characters of VEC
- Probably the Presuisoltans
- Thomas with Annie/Clarabel
Any others I missed that you think would be good, leave your thoughts down below...

I don't think the engines going up will work, mainly because Sir Topham Hatt will probably say something like "Why would I send my engines up into space?"
Then again, wasn't there this whole thing a while back with Stanley going to space? But definately, this is an arc we will do in the future.

I think best way to have this arc is these main characters get abucted and somehow Thomas and his coaches come for the ride, so a gag I thought would he would become their spaceship to travel around in

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell...
Truth be told, I've had an idea floating around for some time now involving space. I give you: the Tale of the Garnisher!
Basically, the GHB is an alien. So are the VEC Cubii, and Hivemind. Xex, Doomboy, and Cutebunny, along with other Cubii named Gennaro, Beardsley, Earth, Sodor, and Jesper. Their intention was to release the GHB and use it to take over a planet, whose resources they would then drain. Unfortunately, some random good aliens, called the Defenders because why not, got wind of this and attacked. Sodor and Earth were killed. The survivors fled to a random planet. When they discovered that the planet was called Earth and there was an island called Sodor, they took it as a sign and chose to release the GHB there. Their ship, the Garnisher (so named because it's not very intimidating to garnish something), has been in orbit around the sun ever since, with Jesper in control. In addition to providing a bit of backstory, it could also be added to the whole "space" thing.
I don't think having Thomas be the spacecraft would work, though. They can't steer, and his cab isn't airtight.

Re: The Great Horned Beast - Truth be told, my idea was something like this: It is a demon straight out of the pits of hell that came to earth to terrorize and destroy, but was stopped... and has since returned.
My inspiration for that idea is from Iron Maiden's "The Number of the Beast":
Lyrics: Woe to You Oh Earth and Sea for the Devil sends the beast with wrath because he knows the time is short Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast for it is a human number its number is six hundred and sixty six.
I left alone my mind was blank I needed time to think to get the memories from my mind
What did I see? Can I believe? That what I saw that night was real and not just fantasy
Just what I saw in my old dreams were they reflections of my warped mind staring back at me?
'Cause in my dreams it's always there the evil face that twists my mind and brings me to despair
Night was black was no use holding back 'Cause I just had to see was someone watching me In the mist dark figures move and twist was all this for real or just some kind of hell 6-6-6 the Number of the Beast Hell and fire was spawned to be released
Torches blazed and sacred chants were praised as they start to cry hands held to the sky In the night the fires burning bright the ritual has begun Satan's work is done 6-6-6 the Number of the Beast Sacrifice is going on tonight
This can't go on I must inform the law Can this still be real or just some crazy dream? but I feel drawn towards the chanting hordes they seem to mesmerize...can't avoid their eyes 6-6-6 the Number of the Beast 6-6-6 the one for you and me
I'm coming back I will return And I'll possess your body and I'll make you burn I have the fire I have the force I have the power to make my evil take its course
Thoughts?

Eh... what?
I don't think so. We already established that we aren't using the idea of a hell in this story (at least, not the fire-and-brimstone variety), so it wouldn't work.

What do you mean with 'fire and brimstone variety'? And I think we only established that on the Story Game.

Well it is space.... So we could come up with a bubble generator or space thrusters or something to where the abductors modified him to be used as a spaceship in their fleet or something...

Huh. We still haven't done this yet. Anyone still interested in doing this, after Steamlin perhaps?

I think a space arc would be cool in the future, especially since it would allow me to use the Presuisoltians, but it'll have to wait until after Steamlin.

You know, we've had this on the back burner since the beginning of thread II, I think it's time to finally do it. I vote we do it as the first big arc of thread 3, right before Sin City, and finally deal with those wood aliens. Also, earlier in the thread, I posted this: Basically, the GHB is an alien. When they discovered that the planet was called Earth and there was an island called Sodor, they took it as a sign and chose to release the GHB there. Their ship, the Garnisher (so named because it's not very intimidating to garnish something), has been in orbit around the sun ever since, with Jesper in control. Yeah... I'm changing it. Earth and Sodor the Cubii sound incredibly stupid, the Cubii aren't truly aliens, and their craft is called the Deathclaw Vengeance anyway. Although... perhaps a second Cubii craft is in order...
