But Toz! The medieval game! The Story Game! The actual game!
While all of those contain elements of high fantasy, especially the story game, we have no true thread for this game.
I'm also trying something new with this game. While most of our games are 3rd person, this one will be first person, told from the point of view of a new character. We're still in this one, but as antagonists.
Note: I'm not sure what high fantasy is. For this story, it involves several "races" of humanoid, including elves, and a focus on mythos.

Thousands of years ago, Elves, Men, Dwarves, Gnomes, Goblins, and Drow lived together in peace and harmony. But evil came to the land of Kesbik in the form of a drow rebellion. Emperor Rileius led their fellow drows by using dragons and brute force to beat down the other five races. Today, Kesbik is a completely different place. From the floating city of Darkรปv-mลrรช, the drow lord their dominion over the others through the Five Traitors, backstabbers from the other five races who joined Rileius, and as a reward rule over their people cruelly and collect tithes for the drow. The five traitors are:
Frank, Traitor of Gnomes- A cruel, crafty genius who rules the gnomes from the island city of Darbureรฎ.
Eyes, Traitor of Dwarves- An alcoholic cave dweller obsessed with war, honor, and glory, ruling from the underground city of Harkediun.
Toz, Traitor of Elves- A self-absorbed, erratic elven dictator who turned the once-beautiful forest of Dindudin to an industrial hell.
Tug, Traitor of Man- The greedy, decadent king of the humans, ruling from the human city of Kanzad Pass.
TGC, Traitor of Goblins- From the desert city of Kakhgarkat, he forces his people to be warriors in the Drow wars with the centaur and lizardfolk.

Hi, my name is-
Wait, probably best if I don't write that down. They can do all kinds of magic to find your based on your name. So I'll just describe myself. I'm a nineteen-year-old, female, human wildling. Us wildlings are a group of free people from the five races who survive by traveling constantly through the various territories. Right now, we're camped out 15000 feet up on Mount Kanitir, overlooking all of the five regions. Somewhere below our feet are the tunnels that make up the kingdom of Eyes. To the south is the desert expanse of TGC and the goblins, while in the north we can see the floating city of Darkรปv-Mลrรช, and beyond that the constant smoke that marks the beginning of the remains of Dindudin and the realm of Toz. To the west is Kanzad Pass, where Tug oppresses humans like me, and beyond that the island where Frank spends his time working the gnomes to their graves. In the east, centaurs and dragons. We'd never go east even if we wanted to, anyway. They've been chasing us east for years. We'd never get far going east undetected.
It's very cold here, right at the edge of the snowline, and keeping our horses, dogs, and selves warm is difficult. Since I'm a woman, they gave me an extra cloak, which is fine by me, because it means I can actually leave the camp and pull my weight gathering wood for what meager fires we can make.
My parents were killed by Toz when I was young, so I've been brought up by my Uncle Dray, the town blacksmith. The only other people in the camp my age are my cousin Bert, a goblin-elven girl named Soiarmai, and Dray's apprentice, Gendry. I don't know how anyone can spend so much time chopping wood shirtless in this cold like Gendry does, but it gives me something nice to watch from the women's tent every month at least.
Today, a mysterious stranger arrived in camp. He brought several deer, and in exchange requested only beer and a place to stay for a few nights. The stranger has not given a name, and Chief Damil says he may be a spy from the Traitors. I hope we don't end up moving. While it's cold here for sure, the only places to go from here are the deserts, Kanzad Pass, and Dindudin, none of which are safe at all. My whole life I've been a nomad. I've never known a life without the threat of the Traitors. I watched Frank oversee the quartering of the gnome with whom I had my first kiss. And I know that our luck is running out. If we leave this mountain, we will most likely be killed. And I'm not ready to die. Not yet.
