(huh?)
It was a heavy rainstorm, and the rails were quite slippery; Boris and Karloff were double heading a heavy goods train and were preparing to go up Gordon's Hill... they charged up the hill, but found the higher they went, the harder it was to get a grip.

Suddenly, they didn't move at all, and their wheels spun helplessly as they started rolling back down the hill.

They slid back faster and faster until at last they were at the bottom of the hill; the two diesels were more embarrassed than angry.

"Bother you two... Now we'll have to send for help... "said their drivers as they found a nearby emergency telephone and called the last station...
At Wellsworth, Edward received an important noticed that Two Diesels needed help at the base of Gordon's Hill...
"I wonder who they could be?" asked Edward with a slight chuckle as he began to depart...

He got to the base of the hill, and simply said, "so... how did being "daring" work out for the two of you" he asked, more curious than condescending though

"Shut up..." said the diesels, leaving Edward behind chuckling at their dilemma.

After getting over the hill and on their way, Edward looked on as the two departed, "those two have a lot to learn... I hope they realize that" he mused.

Then he puffed back home to tell the other engines about all that had happened.

"Bother that they get stuck at the base of that hill... hey, maybe now you'll all stop calling it my hill and call it Diesel's hill" Gordon suggested.

Henry and James chuckled.

"Well they deserve it! To think that they talk down to us and then have that accident... its more than adequate I say" Gordon declared, but Edward thought otherwise, "They're still learning, you lot. The most we can do is not stoop to their level and help them become better engines" He simply stated

"Well, I've got to take the Flying Kipper," said Henry, "so I'll see you guys later."

And the engines went to sleep, still pondering about Boris and Karloff
(Shall we do story 3 now?)

Henry went to take the Flying Kipper and found the Docks bustling with activity.

"What is going on? It's not usually this busy this late at night" Henry asked the harbormaster

"There's an extra shipment of fish coming in tonight," explained the harbormaster, "We've even had to delay the Kipper for it."

Indeed, a shunter engine was hard at work, arranging the refrigerated box cars into the train that would become the flying kipper.

"The Kipper will be running in about 20 minutes," said the Harbormaster.

"So if we normally leave at 5:00, what time are we aiming for tonight?" Henry asked.
