Greetings, Mortal Being.
I am what you may call Abaddon.
Exactly what I am is beyond your comprehension.
Some call me a thought vortex. Some call me the embodiment of nothingness. Some call me a personification of the void between universes. Some say I am the fourth wall. These are both oversimplifications and overcomplications, dead wrong and completely right. For now, all you need to know is that by your standards of existence, I do not exist. But your standards are wrong.
But none of that matters. What matters is why I'm contacting you.
There are infinite universes, each with their own laws of nature. By sheer chance, many share similarities. Many evolve life indistinguishable from that of other universes. I speak not of mere dimensions. I speak of things that are meant to be unreachable. Your kind may travel between dimensions with relative ease, but other universes, no. It is an impossibility.
But there are no absolutes.
Over the infinite time I've existed, universes have come into existence, and just as quickly been erased. Your universe is mostly insignificant, but for one thing: a traveler from another universe is coming to your universe, to that specific spot in your universe, to destroy it, and with it you.
This evil force is called Aleph. It will arrive by the year 2200 your time, if not earlier, reigning destruction and death. He was once a human like yourself, but gained immense power, and craved more. He went insane, built for himself an artificial form, and built one for each of his three delusions, manifestations of his psychosis. He now travels the multiverse, set on destruction of all that is pure and good.
But you can help your species, Baugodu Gurmeldrorth. You will create an organization on a scale your world has never before seen. You will call it the Guild Of Righteous Evil, because you will have to do evil to achieve your goals of good. I will keep in touch with you using this device. It is called a Phasic Crystal. Simply hold it and think of me and I will be able to hear, speak with, and assist you. Remember, you must be the most powerful force in the world when Aleph arrives. Tangible dissent will weaken the weapon you must build.
And with that, I shall leave you for now.
But I believe in you.

Fark tearfully traced his fingers over the tapestry in the entrance hall of Höfuðstöðvar. Though the group was now called the Guild Of Death and Gurmeldrorth was long dead, the ideals laid out in Abbadon's initial speech lived on. And yet, sometimes it was just so hard. And with the emergence of all these new factions near Sodor, where a crucial component of the weapon was located, and Elbaf, where they could mine raw magic power...
Fark gripped his phasic crystal and bowed his head. "I will not fail thee, Abaddon."
