Welcome to 3WSR Studios; the production hub for what forum users call the "long games"
Here at our state of the art production lot, we create many of the works you have come to know and love, like 3WSR The Sitcom, 3WSR in Shakespeare and The Sci-fi Journey.
Because we take production seriously... And we have a very limited budget, discussions and questions concerning the productions are free to be held here, so as to not disturb the "flow" of the stories here.
Once again, welcome to the 3WSR Studios Production Lot, and we hope you enjoy your stay.

As a little side thing, any works created by only one person are not a part of 3WSR Productions, but by that person's. As an example, mine is called Dingy Diesel Productions. What do you guys call yours?

All my work has been under the 3WSR Studios umbrella; so I don't have an individual Studio.

Future Sitcom Ideas:
"Damn, my MacBook is running out of charge" Tug said
"Here." Said TGC, throwing a Nintendo Switch to him (laugh track)

Sorry for the late reply TGC, to clarify, this is a little "joke" of sorts for our forum. The idea is that our long games are a series of productions at a Rundown Hollywood production lot, called 3WSR Studios.
Hope that clarifies things

all right so, as part of the relaunch, I'm wondering if this section could use some restructuring.
It's clear that some games are more popular than others, while some have become either unwriteable or ultimately proved to not be very popular.
Much like the sitcom, we may need some restructuring to allow easier access to the more popular games, while the ones that ultimately never worked out need to be archived.

I feel like we're overthinking too much of everything. Overthinking killed The Game and it'll kill everything else if we aren't careful. I didn't enjoy the militant review of every rapid-fire game and I don't like the idea of doing the same with the long games. Games are intended for enjoyment, nothing else. I get restructuring stuff, but some things are going too far.

Hmm, a fair point. You'll have to forgive me Eyes- I never really ran a forum before (I admired and played major roles, but never ran a forum as head admin), let alone relaunching one, so there's a lot of uncharted territory here. Yes, they are supposed to be fun- but remember something important. We need to make our games feel welcoming to new members. I've been worried as of late that some of our stories have become too esoteric to the point that outsiders looking in might be hesitant to join. Take Sarah, and your new friend. They've got a lot of potential and I want them to feel welcome. If I can't make them feel like part of the team, and they feel like outsiders looking in... I feel like I failed as an admin

And that's very fair. Again, my main concern is merely that we're overthinking it. Perhaps discussing our threads with non-staff users would be best to perfectly figure out how to make them work for them.

So I think we need to set a rule on "commercial" type posts. They're fun on occasion, but we need to ensure new members understand that if you only post commercials that could br considered spam since ultimately only doing that adds no substance to a game
Thoughts?

Eh, I really don't see the point honestly.

It's more about being courteous to fellow posters than anything else
Think about it- we want to keep a flow going with most stories; does a guy who only does commercials really add substance to the game in question at that point?
We're all about creative writing, yes, but an argument can be made about spam and non-constructive posts

If we get someone who only does that, then we'll specify. 'Til then we're good.

Fair enough; but that is something we'll have to remember for the future

I have a pitch for a new game concept:
In the stereotypical big city called Crimetopia, our author avatars are superheroes fighting evil and saving the day. But also fighting each other, because this is a parody of grimdark superhero movies.

I like it; I think we'll have a lot of fun with that one
So are we aiming for campy 60s, gritty 80s, serious 90s or realistic 2000s for the theme?

While we're discussing that idea, something I want to throw out there:
After three years and several of our games having quite literally lost their plots- I think when the time comes for the great reboot, it should include most of our games here
We still keep the elements and everything, but we just start over and make it more welcoming to new members like sarah and Eyes' friends.
The anime and sitcom are solid enough to stand, but everything else needs a facelift... a refresh of sorts to breath new life into them.

The sitcom needs the reboot the most, it’s dead and we don’t know how to write for it anymore.

Hmm... maybe. The recent season seemed to stall so perhaps a refresh would be welcoming towards new members.
Toz and tug should weigh in first though; its only fair
