"Are you sure about that?" A confused Gunnarson asked.
"I believe so; I recognize someone holding a firearm from a mile away" he said.
"Ah; and yet, there are currently only two firearms in this house right now; yours, and Hamilton's. So please be so kind as to explain..."

"Why your gun has no fingerprints but your own on it?"
"I would assume the person wielding my gun was smart enough to wear gloves."
"Fair enough. Now tell me everything you remember about that crowd. What could you make out from their voices and silhouettes?"
"Well, based on the hat and the posture, I think one of them was... you, Gunnarson."

Gunnarson was taken aback. "Me?!" he cried, shocked.

Then Gunnarson looked confused. "That can't be right; I never left my room at all last night; sure, I heard some noises last night, but I stayed in bed. But perhaps there is something you can tell me- did you see anyone with anything other than a gun? Perhaps holding a a different kind of weapon?"
"Now that I think about it..."

"...I can't really tell for sure if it was you or not, but the build was a lot like yours."
"Very strange, very strange indeed..."

"But there is one thing certain- since there are no broken doors or windows, and no signs of break in, whoever I saw last night- it was people staying here last night" he explained
"That we can agree on" Gunnarson replied
"Anything else you need to ask?" Colonel Brooks asked.

"Not that I can think of."
So Colonel Brooks left, and Gunnarson called in...

(You are free to choose suspects too you know)
...professor Miller.
Gunnarson proceeded with the questions.
"So where were you between 2-3 am last night?"
"Sleeping; got up only once because something didn't feel right. Went back to bed afterwards though." He said.
"What else can you tell me?"
"Now that you mention it, there is something important I can tell you, and that is..."

(I know, I just thought I'd let you do the picking.)
"...that I know for a fact that... well... oh, it's nothing."
"No, no, please tell me."
"You wouldn't want to know..."
"Yes I do. Please tell me what it is."
"Well, last night..."

"I went into the hallway as soon as I had the feeling, and that was when I saw it."
"And that is?"
"Well, coming out of the master bedroom, I saw Dr Walker, but then there was also..."

"...a woman standing next to him."
"Can you tell who it was?"
"Unfortunately no. It was too hard to see."

"Could the killer have been female?"
"I doubt it; wouldn't have the strength to bring him into the cellar" Prifessor Miller explained.
"That seems a bit condescending..." Gunnarson began.
"Dr Walker was nearly 200 pounds; it's biology if anything. Colonel Brooks or Sgt Hamilton, I would imagine they could lift him. But Physician Warren or Lady Goodwin... Doubt it" Professor Miller shrugged.

"But it could still have been possible, yes?"
"Well, anything is possible - just highly improbable as I say."

"At any rate, the point is the killer needed the strength to move him from where he was killed, to the cellar" Professor Miller pointed out.
"Now then, there's just one thing left I need to ask you" Gunnarson began
"And that is?" Professor Miller asked.

"Do you take sleeping pills?"
Miller was taken aback. "Sleeping pills? Why would you ask?"

"When I saw you in your room last night; I thought I saw you take something" Gunnarson explained.
"Oh no; I sometimes take a drink before going to sleep, but that's about it." He said.
With Gunnarson done here, he turned his attention to Mrs Clarke.
"What were you doing last night between 2-3?"
"Sleeping; I didn't leave bed I'm afraid. Well, except for once, and while you may not believe this, but I saw..."

"Bats? Don't they hibernate around this time?"

"Well you see..."

"Some figures running about the rooms"
"You saw them to?" Gunnarson asked, thinking back to what Colonel Brooks said
