"All hands on deck! All hands on deck!" The captain screamed.
"But, we're all here" Frank pointed out, as the half a dozen stood there awkwardly

"Shut up, Frank, I really don't have time to deal with this right now. Listen, we're in grave danger."
"What sort of danger?" asked Toz.
"A really nasty sort of danger. We are heading towards the void."

"They go hand-in-hand you UTTER MONROVIAN!!" screamed ND11 as he ripped out part of his hair in desperation.

"Captain why are you pulling out your hair!?" TGC asked.
"Forget it and man your battlestations!" He screamed. Frank ran to his laboratory.., and hid under the bench.
"Eh, I don't have one" he shrugged

Someone threw a gun to Frank. He grasped it tightly.
ND11 shivered. "If these aliens defeat us," he said, "we'll all be headed straight for the void..."
And he veered a hard left.

Everyone flew into the wall that wasn't in a seat.
"Gah! Stupid physics!" Not Diesel 11 fumed.
"But, we're in a spaceship, where's the gravity coming from anyway?"
"Aw, heck" Not Diesel 11 muttered
But Frank saved the day with his technobabble about a gravity generator

Just then, everything became total white nothingness as everyone and everything disappeared. ...... Your attention please: as part of the upcoming forum reboot it has been decided that this game will be rebooted due to the departure of one of the original authors and the loss of members mentioned in the game, but are no longer part of the forum. As such, this game is now being rebooted in order to allow for new blood to enter without fear of messing up what was already written. The story stalled over a year ago and kinda lost focus so do not worry; everything will work out ...... Chief science officer Frank was hard at work in his laboratory, processing the samples from the latest expedition to a planet. It had been two years since he started his career aboard the ship, and he was quite proud of the work he had accomplished. But alas, it was the captain and flight crew who always got the glory, even though it was he who was making the scientific breakthroughs and sharing the important papers when they got back home. But he didn't mind it... mostly. Sure, it was lonely to be isolated in his laboratory while everyone else that was important was on the bridge... but he understood that this was his job and he needed to make it work. "It'll all work out eventually... one way or another" Frank said to himself. For now though, he began musing about the other crew members.

He didn't muse long because at that moment First Mate Eyes walked in. "Oi!" he shouted. "We haven't all day! Are you ready yet?"

"I've been working on my experiments sir; but these papers won't type themselves" Frank said as he typed away.
"Well get on with it! We can't leave until those papers are handed over and time is money!" Eyes said before leaving.
"I'm one man doing the job of six... why don't they understand that? Damn budget cuts" Frank groaned as he continued his work. The ship in question was meant to have a crew of 50, but budget cuts to the program associated with the ship reduced that number to 38... and the science division was one of the first to suffer because of this.
"No appreciation for the intellectual... all about "War" and "conquest" and "glory" these days... can't they understand science can also be considered glorious" Frank sighed before going back to work.
