#7: Josef MengeleWhen someone asks who the most evil human in history is, a great contender for that title is Josef Mengele. Mengele was a doctor who was appointed to Aushwitz where he conducted experiments on the people there, primarily twins. He would act like a nice man, loving children, but the fact remains that his experiments were sadistic, had no regard for safety or human life, and were responsible for the deaths of several people. After the Nazis fell from power, Mengele escaped to Argentina, were he lived out the rest of his life. His son Rolf later stated that his father felt no remorse for his crimes against humanity.

It was the biggest terrorist attack on American soil, and afterwards an international manhunt for the Al Qaeda leader began. He was finally killed in 2011.

4) Mao ZedongLeader of China from 1949 to 1976, some argue him to be a hero, modernizing China and building it into a world power. Others argue he was a dictator no better than Hitler or Stalin, responsible for the deaths of 40-70 million people. His Great leap Forward, which was supposed to be a program that transformed and modernized China's economy, ended up causing a famine that lead to the deaths of 15 million to 40 million people. How will he be remembered in the coming generations? No one can say, but he is still an infamous figure

#3: Joseph StalinWe're getting into the heavyweights now, and coming at #3 on our list is the infamous Russian dictator Joseph Stalin. Everyone was focused on taking out Hitler, but what they should have been more worried about was Stalin, who was actually the biggest mass murderer in history, only to be surpassed by Mao some time later. A ruthless dictator, he silenced anyone who dared oppose him and gave Communism and the Soviet Union a bad name.

2) Adolf HitlerArguably the most evil man in history, Hitler, ironically enough, came to power through by being democratically elected. And once he and the Nazis were in power, they began a series of acts that slowly chipped away at Civil Liberties until the Fascist Dictatorship that came to be was born. He also instigated World War II and the Holocaust, two of the darkest periods in history. His attempt to create a new world order fell apart in a matter of years; ultimately he would commit suicide rather than be captured. To be honest, he should be number one on this list, and yet... How did Hitler come to power, exactly? See for yourself:

Most of you are probably surprised that Hitler didn't take the top spot. Frank and I even had a big discussion when I suggested he get the second place spot. I know it's a turn from the norm, but I personally feel that there is one person in history who deserves the top spot more than Hitler does. One person who was so infamous he became a legend in human history. The person I'm speaking about is of course, none other than... #1: Vlad III, Prince of WallachiaHonestly, what other person could we put at the top of this list? You know his name. Vlad Dracula. His father, Dracul (The Dragon), was in charge of a secret order called the Dragon, which was formed to fight the Ottoman Empire. Vlad was in turn called Dracula, Son of the Dragon. When his father sent his two sons, Vlad and Radu, to live with the Ottomans as hostages in an act of "peace", they were raised up to become Muslims and loyal to the Ottoman Empires, later on to become great warriors in the name of Islam. Radu turned his back on his past, but Vlad didn't. In his mind, Radu was a traitor, and nothing was going to keep him away from his homeland of Wallachia. After being placed in charge of an army, Vlad turned around and crushed that army, and went back to his homeland, where he became the ruler after defeating the nobles. Vlad was a powerful ruler, and placed some rather heavy laws upon his people, which were intended to ensure their loyalty and peace within his nation. The punishment for breaking the laws? Impalement. There is no easy way to say this. Vlad took a wooden spike and had the person placed on it, impaled slowly but surely from their anus to their mouths. According to legend, Vlad would also sometimes dip bread into the blood of the victim and eat it. He never stopped waging war on the Ottomans, however. When they tried to invade Wallachia, he implemented a "scorched earth" tactic, where he destroyed anything of use to his enemies. Eventually his smaller army had pushed the Ottomans back. Finally, he killed tens of thousands of Turks and had them all impaled. When the Sultan saw them, he was so shocked he turned right around and went home. Radu, Vlad's brother however, went onwards and cornered Vlad. He escaped, but was captured by the Hungarians. After finally being released twelve years later, he came back to Wallachia, but was killed himself only three months lately, allegedly by an Ottoman assassin. Was Vlad a villain or a hero? Many would argue that he was one of the cruelest and most evil men in history, but many Romanians regard him as a hero, who helped bring their country into its own. Vlad, they say, was a just ruler, and while impalement was harsh, it wasn't all that bad compared to most of the Middle Age torture methods. Nonetheless, Vlad Tepes, "The Impaler", as he has come to be known as, has gone down in history as a true legend - hell, he even inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula! To my mind, there really is no one in all of history who can take the title of Most Infamous Person of All Time. Hats off to Vlad the Impaler on achieving the top spot... or don't! Thanks for keeping up with the list! We hope you enjoyed it!
