Man In Bright Turquoise had retreated to Grampus, who had been commandeered by the colorfolk for the Impel Down attack. Also present were Mindreader, Nessatarina, the Bronze Mage, Vivian Bloodsphere, Ocean Man, Adriana and Ruth, Woman in White, Man In Orange, Woman In Red, and Man In Pink, as well as Man In Steel and Chaos.
"When you rescue them, return here and we'll make our escape." Vivian said. "I'll be watching on this crystal ball-type thing Blackmagei made."
At Impel Down, Hohenheim and Qrow were separated from the others by a group of Lizard men and taken to the lowest level of the dungeon. There were three other prisoners there: a small green creature like a goblin, a mage in pale yellow robes, and...
"A colorman!?"
It was the man in Indian Red.
"Isn't that a lost lineage?" Asked Qrow.
"I don't know, he just looks red to me-"
A lizardman shoved him into a cell. "No talking!"
"Plot twist..." mumbled the mage in pale yellow.

(Actually, I wanted to properly introduce the "lost India" lineages, but I never got around to it; thanks for reminding me Toz)
All was quiet elsewhere, and no one else had yet been informed, so many Colormen had gathered at a memorial dedicated to the Man In Indian Red, Man In Indian Yellow and Man In India Green. Man In Silver stood at a podium to say a few words.
"On this day in 1873, the Colormen suffered a great loss. During the dark era, these three Colormen were among the handful to stay good and fight to restore the Colormen name. When given a mission to investigate a mysterious power coming from the Indian subcontinent, they accepted without question and sailed on the next ship to India. Many days after departing, sadly the ship hit a typhoon, and was wrecked. though the stern section sank, by some miracle the Bow section stayed afloat, and managed to get beached a small distance from the intended port destination. Although 500 passengers and 80 crew miraculously survived the night, of the 1166 passengers and 146 crew, sadly, these three Colormen were among the lost. We now pay our respects to our fallen brothers."
The assembled Colormen stood solemnly, and bowed their heads in respect towards the memorial.
(NOTE: my hope is that someone will go with the angle that it was indeed one of the Colormen that used his powers to "save the bow" if you will, but I am willing to see where this story goes if someone comes up with a better explanation)

Um, okay... what say we return to Ulfstead?
Thomas had been growing a bit conceited. "Soon my Branch Line will be better than ever!" he thought.

"Will you be able to handle the extra workload?" Edward asked as he shunted in with some flatbeds. "I hear that this extension will include anywhere from three to six new stations, and that could make you very tired" Edward said, concerned.
(NOTE: This next part is not a meanwhile, its more like a "concurrent" writing; I'm writing for two separate scenes and the next guy is free to pick whichever one to continue with)
Back with the show, continuing from the left off point.
"Now, before we get into the diesels, there is a question that is on a lot of people's minds. Mr. D'Levin, you are a very successful businessman and entrepreneur, so how did you find out about the diesels and become interested in them? After all, its not everyday someone decides they want to collect engines for a living" Morris asked.

"Well, I've been a Thomas fan from a young age, reading the Railway Series and watching the TV Series for years. My favorite Thomas anything was Thomas And The Magic Railroad, due to Diesel 10. When I found out that a brother of his was being searched for, I dropped everything and set out to find him."
"Of course I can," said Thomas. Edward sighed. He knew that the little blue E2 was heading for trouble...

Thomas could not stop talking about how his branch line was going to be so much better now, as the "Most important part of the railway was about to get even more importanter" Thomas bragged.
"I mispronounce words all the time, but even I know that's not a real word" Percy whispered to Toby, who agreed.
......
"Ah, yes. Many of those who live outside of the U.K. only know of Diesel 10, and that is because of the movie based on real events, isn't that right." Morris asked them.
"I think we are getting ahead of ourselves" Walkins replied.
"Ah, yes. If we are going to talk about the numbered diesels, we have to start from the beginning. But as it turns out, their story does not start in England... it starts in Germany, where earlier today, I met the engine that lead to the development of the numbered diesels.
The studio screen turned on to the footage shot earlier that day.
"And here is my pride and joy...Diesel 0" Bauer said as he gave Morris and his crew a tour of the prototype.
The narrator spoke "though it may not look like much now; this engine is the precursor to what would eventually become the numbered diesels. Diesel 0 was designed and built by Heinrich Bauer, a brilliant engineer who is largely forgotten from numbered diesels history. When we met Diesel 0, we were surprised to hear that he called Mr. Bauer "Papa," the German equivalent to daddy."
"Why do you call Mr. Bauer Papa?" Morris asked Diesel 0.

(I'll let Frank answer that, he came up with the idea, not me! ) ..... Thomas woke up early next morning. "Peep! Peep! Wake up guys, we've got work t-" "THOMAS! WILL YOU SHUT THE **** UP?!" cried a very irritated Daisy.

(True, but the diesels are your characters; so ultimately it is your choice what is and isn't so with them)
Thomas didn't hear Daisy, or perhaps was too excited to care. As soon as his fire was going, he set off to get another load of supplies.
......
"He built me and took care of me; that makes him my papa" Diesel 0 said.
"Diesel 0 was built and could operate successfully, but there were several limitations.
"He couldn't do a steady deceleration or acceleration; he could only suddenly stop and start, and the APS was prone to overheating; he couldn't operate for more than six hours before his APS would risk breaking down" Bauer explained.
"Were you frustrated, that you could only driver yourself for six hours before your system would become too hot?" The interviewer asked Diesel 0.

(True, but if I were to transfer ownership, or step down from my 'Numbered Diesels Admin' position, there'd be no one better to take the spot than you. ) "You betcha." โคโงโกโขโค "I'll finish this in no time!" boasted Thomas. "Finally, I'll get some peace anโ" "Time to go, Daisy!" "WHAT?!"

(But would that be fair? The "thing" you have with the diesels, I have with the Colormen)
"You got to take the morning milk; don't you remember?" her driver informed her.
Daisy sighed as she set off to do her work.
......
"Eventually, some time had passed and Bauer lost interest in self-moving diesels. But that was when another engineer came in: Reginald Walkins, a British engineer who had the same idea, but had trouble with figuring out where to start."
"Do you consider meeting Bauer and getting his plans that day a blessing?" the interviewer asked Walkins.

(Toz, just a side note, the Lizardmen only work for Monet, for reasons I'll probably reveal at a later date...)
But back at Impel Down, Chaos and Man in Steel were getting ready...
"Alright grab my hand, the Turquoise guy will teleport us to the entrance while we're invisible and I get you to the door before the Turquoise gets me out of there..." said Chaos
"Alright, let's do this..." said Man in Steel as he and Chaos turned invisible...
"This would be easier if the prison wasn't made of vallerium, but I can at least get you to the entrance, you're on your own after you get to the doors..." said Man in Bright Turquoise
"Right..." the invisible duo replied as they voices disappeared from the sub...
Chaos and Steel carefully approached the gate, passing all of the guards stationed at it...
They finally made it through the door, and they then their invisible ended...
"Damn, that usually lasts longer, must be because I'm holding it for two people right now, anyways, good luck, Man in Steel, I'll see you in a bit..." said Chaos as he was about to leave, he heard a dialogue he wished he didn't...
"Hey Stewart, you hungry, want some lunch?" asked a guard
"Sure Harry, but don't we have to guard this door?" asked Stewart
"We'll just shut it, it's not like anyone's going to escape from this place..." replied Harry
"You're right, hey I heard it was taco Tuesday in the cafeteria, you going to get one?" asked Stewart as other guards followed suit, and the prison's doors shut behind them...
"Crap, now I... Erm I mean we can't escape..." said Chaos
"Keep it down, besides we've just figure out a way to bust through when we get back up here... You might have given away our comrades' location if you returned to the sub anyway..." said Steel as the break-in duo ventured down into the depths of Impel Down...
Meanwhile, further in the prison, a mysterious person was escaping from his cell...
"You jerk, you didn't tell us you could do that!" said a prisoner talking to a man whose body was splitting apart to slip through the holes in his jail cell...
"Yeah, I thought you were just a ax-wielding pyscho!" shouted another...
"At least break us out to, Barry the Chopper!" shouted a third...
"Shut up, you're not my friends, besides sucks to you guys for treating me like dirt all this time..." said Barry with a laugh as he ran down the hall...
"Get back you jerk!" shouted the prisoners
"Now that I've ditched those losers, my flawless escape plan can commence..." said Barry
Barry didn't realize he had just ran past a camera...
In the Surveillance Room...
"Is that Barry the Chopper out of his cell?" asked a guard
"Probably, send in the Blue Gorillas to stop him then..." said another
"right sir..." answered the guard and these 'Blue Gorillas' were tasked with stopping the escaped prisoner...
Back to the break-in duo, they were doing good avoiding detection, until some strange Blue Gorillas carrying axes came out of nowhere chasing a some guy right towards the duo...
"What the hell?" asked Man in Steel and Chaos
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" yelled the guy being chased before he was sliced in half...
"Ahhhhh!!!!!" was the duo's response, not to the guy getting split, but to the slip halves still running right towards them...
The spilt halves then formed back together once they caught up to the duo...
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?!?!?!" yelled the duo
"Hi, I'm Barry the Chopper and I'm trying to escape this god forsaken place, what about you guys?" asked Barry
"We broke into the prison to rescue some comrades of ours..." replied Chaos
"Hey, I got a deal for you, i'll lead you to the lower levels if you promise me you'll bust me out of here as well..." said Barry
"Well we don't have any other choice, but first we better stop these things from chasing us..." said Steel as he swung his hammer into the Blue Gorillas sending them flying...
"Damn, that was a good hit..." said Barry as he picked up one of the axes...
"So will you tell us the layout of this place, I'm curious..." asked Chaos
"Sure from, what I heard, there's five levels and right now we're on the first level, the Crimson Hell..." replied Barry
"Why's it called that?" asked Man in Steel
"You'll see when we get to the exit to the lower levels, anyways who are you trying to break out exactly" asked Barry
"He's trying to break out members of VEC and I'm trying to break out my friend Qrow..." answered Steel
"You mean the Vile Evil Confederacy, and the 'Drunken Mystic"?" asked Barry with a gulp
"Yep..." replied Chaos
"Oh crap... What did I get myself into?" Barry thought to himself, "Anyway, this way, some guys you're looking for are on the next level!" he shouted not watching where the trio was running until they ran right through the wall into the Surveillance Room from earlier...
"Hey it's Barry the Chopper!" shouted a guard
"Yeah, but who are those other two!" shouted another
"Crap!" shouted Barry, "You two grab my feet, we're flying out of here!"
"What!?!?!" shouted the break-in duo as they did as asked
"Now grab on to me!" Barry shouted as they started flying in the air...
"Eh!?!?!" yelled Steel and Chaos
"I have the power to 'chop' my body apart and cause it to float around, but my parts can only float in a vicinity around my body, so if someone grabs my feet and rides me, I can basically fly..." replied Barry
"That's a pretty useful power..." commented Chaos
"I'm also immune to slicing attacks..." Barry added on
"Great but let's get going!' shouted Steel as the trio flew to the entrance to the next floor...
"Someone contact, Magellan, we have a break in!"
Meanwhile...

But thankfully, his driver did.
"Thomas? Thomas!" His driver said as he slammed the brakes. "Thomas what are you doing? You could have gone into the sea!" His driver asked.
"But my branchline is landlocked" Thomas said, confused.
......
"Walkins acquired the plans and went on to have great success with the numbered diesels. Bauer, however, was largely forgotten."
"Do you feel ripped off by what happened?" The interviewer asked.
"In some ways, yes. I hold nothing against Walkins, but for him to be called the father of automated diesels, and to have not even a mention of me anywhere in the engineering community; it was devastating" Bauer explained.
"Do you two believe Bauer deserves more credit in his role for the diesels?" The interviewer asked D-ll and Walkins.

"Of course!"
Back at Impel Down, Hohenheim and Qrow were getting acquainted with their fellow inmates.
"I'm Man In Indian Red. Call me Deven. The goblin is Dravos, I don't know much about him other than that he's excessively violent. And that guy in pale yellow is The Lampshade."
"The Lampshade? Is that like a honey mage, where it seems wimpy but isn't?"
"Yep. He points out all the cliches, tropes, and flaws in his foes plans. It's surprisingly dangerous."
"SOM has been torturing you to find a weakness in your team to exploit. But if they're so powerful, why bother finding a weakness? Also, they're too mistrusting of each other and enjoy killing off mooks." The Lampshade observed.
"He also throws razor-sharp lampshades."
"Um... okay. This is Qrow, the Drunken Mystic, who right now is sober and not very mystic. And I'm the Blood Alchemist."
"You!" Man In Indian Red was furious. "You're from VEC!"
"Yeah, but... look, evil is not bad, okay? It's just... a way of life."
"MURDERER!"
"What? Did I kill one of your ancestors or something? I might have, I don't remember."
"You..."

"You are gone, but not forgotten; rest in peace, fallen brothers." Man In silver said as he looked one more time at the memorial honoring the "India trio."

Meanwhile, someone walked behind a member of SOM and stabbed her. "Hello, I am Thomas Gold. Many years ago I was cursed into the form of an engine. I soon escaped that form, after seeing the evil in my friends, Percy Silver, and The Bronze Mage. I have now set out to kill all evil, even if it means killing my old friends." Thomas Gold said to the SOM member. "Cool story..." The SOM Member said before getting up, the knife still in her back, now sealed inside of her. "My name is Moltana. I know how you feel... I was once in a group of mages, not the colorfolk, another group. I realized soon that the path of good was a hard one. And so I killed them all. Even my brother. I soon found the Man In Iron, and saw we had similarities. We've been together ever since. If the path of evil is not for you, and the path of good is not for me, and we both had a conflict about it, maybe we should just leave eachother alone. Even if you want to kill all evil, I do not want to have to kill one of the only remaining people who would understand me." Moltana said. Thomas Gold stood there, taking in what he just heard. "Ok... By killing every evil person I find, wouldn't that make me more evil than they are?" Thomas Gold said. "And by being in the SOM wouldn't that make me good for killing the VEC? Maybe I'm not truly evil, and you aren't truly good? I guess we are both conflicted." Moltana said. "If you leave the SOM I will stop looking for all evil, and then maybe we both could be more diplomatic." Thomas Gold said. "We could live out our days normally. Just like I did before I became a Mage of fire." Moltana said. "Let's wait a day to think about our actions, and find a true look of ourselves." Thomas Gold said. "Have this for the knife in your back." Thomas Gold said, giving Moltana a bottle separated into 4 sections, one with a red liquid, the others green blue and purple. They both left the scene, in deep thought.
