"A few months ago. Back in March, he proposed. After all those years I was so happy that he finally got around to asking. We loved each other so much. But to hear that Emily go on and lie about her being in a relationship with him... she's got some nerve! And I've been friends with her just as long as Walker was too!" She pointed out.
"I see" Gunnarson began. "I have no reason to doubt your story Physician Warren; all I can say for a fact is that one of you is lying, and I intend to find out" Gunnarson explained.

Ms Warren left the room, and Gunnarson called in the next person.
"Excuse me, Reverend, would you mind stepping in here and answering a few questions?"

Or rather, she went back to the lounge with the others. Keeping the body in the cellar, Gunnarson proceeded to interview the suspects in the study.
"Well Reverend, I suppose we should start from the beginning. How far back does your relationship with Walker go?" Gunnarson asked.
"Oh, I've known him since he was a boy. He grew up in my parish. He never moved away, so he's been a regular to my church as long as I can remember" Dixon explained.
"Ok, now I want to ask you..."

"...what you were doing at around 2-3 in the morning."
"Oh, well that's quite simple enough. I was..."

...sleeping. You can't expect an old man like me to be up that late at night, can you?" He said.
"Not really. Though I do need to ask about..."

"...something else. Why did Walker invite you here? Was it to show you all something, or tell you something, or was it just a regular get-together?"
"Well..."

"Well, yes, this was a get-together for the most part. Though..." Dixon began.
"Though what?" Gunnarson asked.
"...About three months ago, in a moment of weakness, I took part in some gambling. I... I ended up losing a good deal of money and was in a lot of debt. Dr. Walker payed the man for me so I would not have to worry about him. Though recently he started getting rather... pushy about the money getting returned."
"How much was it?" Gunnarson asked.
"...7,000 pounds" Dixon admitted.
"My goodness! That much?"
"I regret that night completely. I was hoping to ask him tonight for some more time to figure out where I could get the money to pay him off but... but I suppose his death does render the debt void" Dixon pointed out.
"Why did he offer to pay off the debt in the first place?"
"It started about two weeks after the gambling, when..."

"...when he asked me why I was looking worried. I explained and he said that he would pay off the debt so long as I pay him back at a later date."
"That sounds simple enough; why did he do it though?"

"He had known me since he was a toddler, and wanted to help me. At first he said not to worry about it... but about two weeks ago he suddenly started calling me and requesting that I pay him back. I told him I couldn't, but I would try. But he started getting really persistent and...and..."

"...well, that's all I can tell you about that. He invited me to his house, I thought he wanted to force me to pay up, but instead he just plainly died."
"Very interesting," said Gunnarson.

Deciding that was all he could get out of the Reverend for now, he called in the next suspect; Lady Goodwin.
"So, Lady Goodwin; what was your relation to Dr. Walker. I'm surprised that he was friends with a cousin to the Royal Family" Gunnarson asked.
"Well, it started many years ago, when his parents were alive..."

"They happened to be good friends with my parents, having gone to the same university. Naturally we were flung together and formed a friendship."
"Ah, makes perfect sense. Now then..."

"How would you describe your relationship with Dr. Walker? I know you were just friends, but is there anything else of note?" Gunnarson asked.
"Well, For the most part we were on good terms. There was only one incident I can think of where we really didn't see eye to eye. It was about two years ago..."

"...I was engaged to be married. Dr. Walker did not find my choice of husband a good one, and told me so. Naturally I was mad at him."
"What came of that engagement?"

"A couple weeks before we were to be married, he just broke off the engagement and left without warning. I haven't seen him since." She explained.
"Though I don't see how you would be mad at Walker for that" a confused Gunnarson asked.

"I'm not."
"...oh."
"No, I'm not mad at him for that. That was just the only instance we didn't see to eye... like I told you..."
"Oh. Yes. Of course."

(She's supposed to have a motive, like the others)
"I mean, I do sometimes wonder if his disappearance was Walker's doing, but I haven't been able to confirm my suspicions" she explained.
"I see. Then at least tell me this..."

(I know that, but we don't need to have her known to have one right away ya know.)
"...where were you at 2-3 in the morning last night?"
"As far as I can remember I was asleep, though I did wake up and had to use the bathroom, but that was it."

(Fair enough)
Gunnarson wasn't due if she had a motive or not, but there wasn't time to find out right now. So he called in the next suspect.
"Mr. Ellis, please come in" and the butler came in next.
"Tell me about yourself, when were you hired?" Gunnarson asked
"Many years ago when Dr Walker was little; my sister and I were hired at the same time..."

"I see; did his father hire you?"
"Yes sir," replied Ellis.
"Where were you last night around 2-3 in the morning?" asked Gunnarson.
