Diesel 1 and 13, and probably many more that aren't there now, were also rescued (but you can discuss them in The Numbered Diesels forum).

St. Simon was a gresley A3, stored in an abandoned shed behind the steamworks. He is Gordon and Flying Scotsman's only surviving brother. At one point, the three of them had a race.

When Diesel 1 was discovered and rebuilt, which of the steam engines was, too? Was it St. Simon or Quicksilver?

In a shed near the steamworks; bought to be another passenger engine for the NWR, but something went wrong and he was forgotten.
