"FINNEGAN!" shouted O'Connor
"Yes Boss?" asked Finn worryingly
"He is your man! You better deal with a rat like him! I have to make a very important call..." replied O'Connor as he left the room
"Well McGrath, you brought this upon yourself... There's nothing we can do now that we're back home, but knowing that sick doctor, when we're done, you'll get your wife and kids back definitely... Murphy, Connolly, take him out back..." huffed Finnegan
The two other mobsters grabbed McGrath by the arms and began dragging him out of the warehouse they used as a base in Dublin...
"No I'm sorry! He threatened my family! I had no other choice1 Please let me live! I swear I won't do it again! PLEASE NO!" shouted McGrath as a shout of pain was heard, then a gunshot, followed by silence...
"Well McGrath, you should have told us what that bastard did, we your brothers in arms would have stormed that bastard, shot him dead, and got are weapons to the boys in Chicago... Well, i hope you get to see your family again, in another life that is..." said Finnegan to no one as he punched the wall ni frustration...
In the other room, O'Connor was on the line with someone very interesting...
"So, i heard you're the one who is in charge of the organization this 'Blade' and his gang work for... He and his thugs attacked my boys... No I don't want revenge against you the employer, actually I have a proposition to make..."
.....
Gunnarson and Hartley soon arrived at a block of unkempt house near the waterfront by the docks...
"So Gunnarson, why are we here exactly?" asked Hartley
"Well James, when I was scouting out where the Irish Mob could be, I heard rumors of a mad doctor being spotted in the area around here, so I saved that tip until the Mob had been dealt with... Now that we're after Drugg, it seems I'll have to follow up on that tip..." replied Gunnarson as the duo began their search for Drugg

(While I did not like McGrath's ultimate fate, I would have rather something else happened, I do like what you wrote. Good job Tug)
Drugg always seemed to be one step ahead of everyone though. After getting word of McGrath, Drugg made a phone call.
"Hello?" Said the voice on the other end.
"Do it" Drugg said in a deep, low voice.
The man's eyes suddenly looked like a blank stare. "Yessss" the man said, before simply dropping the phone, and walking at a singular pace out the door.
......
To cover more ground, Gunnarson and Hartley had split up, and agreed to meet at a bridge in a few hours.
They searched everywhere for the Mad Doctor.
As he passed by an alley, suddenly a man in a dark overcoat snuck up behind him and gave him an injection. Gunnarson's pupil's widened and he went numb. The man in the overcoat smiled. "Now listen carefully, this is what you will do..."
Some time later, Gunnarson was crossing the bridge. By chance, coming one way was Stein, and another way was Hartley, in time for the meeting.
"Hello Gunnarson; how are you today?" Stein asked.
"Gunnarson, find anything?" Hartley asked.
But he ignored them. Suddenly, Gunnarson climbed over the bridge railing, and prepared to jump.
"Gunnarson, no!" Both screamed as they went to run towards Gunnarson. But it was too late; they saw him leap over the side, and disappear.
Off in the distance, Dr. Drugg looked on smiling.
"Perfect... Absolutely perfect." He said before turning around and walking away.
......
Finnegan was pacing about alone in an area of the headquarters, thinking about what he had to do. The man with the blank stare quietly opened the door, and crept up behind him. Suddenly, and before he could react, the man with the blank stare reached his arms out and began strangling Finnegan. With a sweeping kick, Finnegan was on his knees, his arms fighting the mans... his strength seemingly superhuman... as if enhanced by drugs

(I'll work on Finnegan but I'll tell you one thing Frank, though McGrath received a grizzly fate, his death I believe hurt Finnegan more than you realize, and will help shape his character in the future, basically, when we see the Mob again, Finn will not be the same as before, plus the Mob are sort of tied with Death in any shape or form...)
Just then, a shot rang out and pierced the 'superhuman' man's shoulder, and a shout, "Get your hands off my subordinate!" was followed by a few more shots to the man's torso as he stuttered backwards in pain...
Soon, Mulligan, Murphy, and Connolly ran over, and began checking over a now breathing Finnegan...
"Thank you, Boss..." gasped Finnegan before he passed out and Mulligan and Connolly begin to move him
O'Connor stood over his victim and asks, "Who was this man, and why was he in here?"
"He was one of the Sailors that helped get the weapons here, I guess Drugg planned him here to take care of us..." replied Murphy as he grabbed the wounded man...
"Whatever... The deal I made should take care of Drugg since he's England's problem now... Though if I ever hear he steps foot on Irish Soil, I'll strangle the bastard myself... Anyways, take that man and Finnegan to a Doctor, I want answers out of him... Whatever he says will decide our next move... Though that 'surprise' we left for Gunnarson might handle 'two birds with one stone'... Anyways, get them out of here!" shouted O'Connor
"Right Boss!' replied the three as the injured were carried out...
"I hope Blade's gang excepts the offer, if not, we might have to just go back their ourselves sooner then we thought..." said O'Connor as he began to look out the dusty warehouse window and silently curse Drugg out in anger...

The water brought Gunnarson back to his senses. "I've been drugged!" He thought. Suddenly, an idea occured to him to catch Drugg in his tracks. He allowed himself to float limply to the surface. In the distance, he saw a man look at him, smile, and walk away.
"That'll be Drugg. No one else would smile at the sight of a body in the lake." So Gunnarson began swimming in the same direction as Drugg, careful not to be seen.
The others had no idea. They thought Gunnarson was actually dead.

(Just want to go back to this for a bit; since we brought it up and it seemed important)
Eventually, there was a crowd and Drugg disappeared into it. But Gunnarson ran into a vital clue.
He came to shore near a docked vessel; the one Blade's crew was on earlier with Drugg and Elvira. He boarded it when he saw something earlier.
Among the items, he found key evidence... items that could only have come from Drugg. And on one of them...
"So, this is where you are holed up" Gunnarson observed.

"Seven different houses... no wonder we couldn't catch you. Well, I'd better track you down..."
And so Gunnarson set off.

After some phone calls, he figured that if each house was discreetly searched and taken over, then Drugg would be flushed out.
Entering the first house, he was surprised to find it mostly empty, except for a few pieces of furniture, but then, behind a heavy, locked door.
"Who's there?! Please, let us out!!" The female voice screamed, followed by young children.

Gunnarson called to her, "Just a moment, ma'am, and I'll have you out of their!" The door was heavily locked, so he had to find a way to open it...

He looked around and tried to find something that would open the door. After tearing apart much of what was in the room, he found a key. He took it and put it in the keyhole.

It fit perfectly, and the door opened. Inside, the lady...

Fell to her knees and thanked Gunnarson many times.
"That damn doctor... he kidnapped me and my children! We were being used as leverage against my husband!" She said, hysterical.
"What?" A confused Gunnarson asked.
"My husband, he's in the Irish mob; Dr. Drugg forced him to be a mole, and kidnapped us to make sure he'd cooperate!" She said.
"What's your name"
"I'm Mrs. McGrath, and these three are my children" she said.
"Christ; hang on, I gotta make a call."
He picked up the phone on the table and called an old friend.
"Gent; it's Gunnarson. This Dr. Drugg, you're not going to believe what he's been doing..."

(By the way, I don't think it's a good idea for Gunnarson to curse, I've always imagined him as a devout Catholic.)
And he told Gent everything. "Holy cow!" said Gent, "that's crazy!"

(I only said that because I did not know another word to use that made sense for that context)
"This damn Drugg has been manipulating everything from the beginning; I found a couple journals while here. The Manning Case, The Assassin Case, he references some sort of involvement in all of them."
As Gunnarson looked through papers, underneath one paper... he found a red armband with a swastika
"Holy..."

"Gent!" "What?" "Dr. Drugg... he's... he's helping the Nazis!"

"Drugg? A Nazi?! I should've known! Sorry Gunnarson, but I gotta go; gotta make some calls." Gent said as he hung up.
He dialed another number.
"Superintendent Battle? It's Gent. I need to tell you something important..."

Battle was astonished, though he did say, "Are you sure we can trust Gunnarson?"

After some contemplation, Gent simply said "absolutely."

"Alright then, Gent, you're in charge of this. Get Drugg at all costs!" "Yes, sir!"

(I thought Gent was above Battle; to be honest this whole time I've been assuming they were equals. Unless Gent is younger than Battle and its a seniority thing)
Gent began making arrangements; discreetly, undercover teams began securing Drugg's seven different properties.
At one where the Police had not arrived, Poirot and Hastings had found the property, thanks to a tip from Gunnarson.
"Looks like the door is locked; perhaps we should wait for Battle's men to come and open the door?" Hastings asked.

(Yeah, Battle's older.)
"There is no time, mon ami. We MUST find Dr. Drugg."
