"The only thing that saved me is that I pleaded guilty... believe me, I feel extreme remorse over what I have done" the doctor lamented.

"Indeed," said Gunnarson thoughtfully.

"Well, what more can you offer to this scourge of society? I have accepted my fate... I just never thought my years would be spent like this" he explained.

"Yes, I am sorry for you," said Gunnarson, as he stood up, and left...

Once out of the prison, Gunnarson went for a walk for a while. Eventually he came to a street corner. As he went to turn, three black cars pulled up and surrounded him.
"This is for interfering you bastard!" Several Irish accented voices screamed as their windows rolled down and they opened fire.
Gunnarson was forced to hit the ground as they shot. By some miracle, he was not hit.
They stopped firing; during the time they reloaded, Gunnarson fought back, pulling out his old service revolver and firing back

Then he jumped up and ran away. "Hey! He's getting away! After him!!"

"There's no point Gunnarson! You can't outrun a car!" One called out as the hail of bullets came out of the cars

Gunnarson had already realized this, as he tried to run away, but it seemed to be in vain...

He saw an alley come up... he quickly ducked in and hid. The Gangsters search for a few minutes, but gave up and left.
Gunnarson came to a decision, "once this trial is resolved; I have to find those weapons... the mob can't use them for their purposes.

Just then, who should come walking up... but Hartley! "Hullo, Gunnarson, what are you up to?"

"how likely are you to believe that I was just almost killed by the Irish mob?" Gunnarson asked.
"not...very..." A confused Hartley responded.
"Understandable" Gunnarson assured.

"What gives?" A confused Hartley asked.
"A while back I pissed off some Irish mobsters. In case I did not give you the whole story, the short answer is I got in the way of some weapons they claimed ownership of, and now they want me dead" Gunnarson explained.

"Basically, the Mob still won't drop that grudge..." replied Gunnarson, "But from what Poirer told me, we might have missed some evidence..."
"What do you mean?" asked Hartley
"We never tested that bottle of Merlot for anything inside it... And if my theory's correct, then it seems Drugg, well drugged him, and being a person of medical expertise, framed Poirer, and killed Manning, but why? And how and why in fact was he so close to Taylor then killed him..." responded Gunnarson in confusion...
...
Drugg, while Blade's crew was 'occupied', made a phone call to a certain person...
"Drugg, hast du Taylor töten, wie wir Sie zu vergeben?" asked the man on the other end of the line
"You idiot! Don't speak German on the phone, it will seem to suspicious if we've been tapped!" yelled Drugg into the phone line...
"Well did you do it then?" asked the man
"Yes I killed Taylor, he seemed to be digging to close to my contacts, Dr. Mengele would be pissed if he learned his pupil had been so sloppy, even outside the operating room. Though he was a criminal, he did take his cases quite seriously..." responded Drugg
"Alright, so that group your with, are you sure they can kill Gunnarson?" asked the man at the other end
"Yes, they seem like they can handle the job, though it seems the Irish are after the Detective as well for 'other' reasons and the Detective has gained some 'powerful' allies, but if I don't tell them who i'm working for, I'm sure they can pull off the job..." answered Drugg with a slight grin
"Alright good work so far manipulating Taylor to do your dirty work and kill people who we've wanted dead since the war started. Anyways, kill Gunnarson for our Fuhrer, and then you can return to Berlin for your next assignment..." answered the man at the other end
"Yes, Sieg Heil, Goodbye..." answered Drugg as he hung up the other end...

*Dr. Mengele, is a famous, more like infamous, Nazi scientist who performed inhuman experiments on people in Concentration Camps, leading to a majority of them to die in his 'care' or leave them permanently deformed, basically, he's evil... I"m trying to set up Drugg as someone on this level... Sorry I'm a big WW2 buff so I kind of know this off the top of my head, i just thought he was more well known then i guess he is...

I'm a big WWII buff too; Oh, you mean Dr. Mengele. Awesome, we have another thing in common, lol
(just going to go back to the phone call for a second)
"So are the tracks covered?"
"Yes; I drugged the secretary to convince her of her guilt of the crime."
"But what of Manning? Haven't heard anything on that end" the voice said.

"I gave Poirer a heavy dose, so he was out like a light when I came in and did the deed, I gave him the cut Manning, stole the research he took with him from France, and will bring it to you when I return to Berlin..." replied Drugg
"Did you leave any evidence?' asked the voice
"No, I wore gloves and sneaked into the building without alerting the Doctor, he received a dose just as potent, they were both drinking the same bottle after all..." responded Drugg
"Good..."
*Call ends*
"Well, after Blade finishes his dealings, we better get to work then..." Drugg said to himself with a smirk...

(Just want to go back to Dr. Piorier for a second; in light of this revelation)
In prison, Dr. Calvin Piorier kept getting haunted by dreams of the night Manning was killed. But something was rather off.
"I don't understand... I remember getting angry, I remember the argument... but... but why can't I remember stabbing him?" He asked himself. it was almost as if... he blacked out during the murder.
