"You see, it's...oh, uh..." Gunnarson completely lost his train of thought.
Just then, in a shocking twist, the normally quiet, passive Reverend was infuriated. "My life is on the line here and you are pursuing goose chases and nonsense?! You've got some nerve if you can't even find evidence that makes sense!!" The Reverend screamed angrily; not anger because he was guilty, but anger because it sounded like Gunnarson was setting him up for a fall.
Finally, Gunnarson got his thoughts together. "Ok, got it. Terribly sorry, with everything going on my mind has been wandering. Anyway, Reverend, you could not have done it because I remembered something quite important. In the study, I saw you were carrying a pile of books across the room last night"
"Yes; there were some books that hadn't been put away properly and I was doing it myself" The Reverend explained.
"And yet, you seemed to be having a problem with carrying the books?" Gunnarson noted.
"Yes; they were big, old ones and weighed quite a lot. In hindsight I probably should not have carried so many at once" The Reverend explained.
"You struggled to lift books... which indicates to me you would have hardly the strength to move a person. Therefore, you couldn't be the murderer because you wouldn't have the strength to move carry him. That being said, you did wake up last night and come down to this floor, and I want to know why" Gunnarson explained.
"I don't understand..." The Reverend began.
"Let me explain. There are twelve rooms of interest here- Conservatory, Lounge, Kitchen, Library, Hall, Study, Ballroom, Dining Room, Billiard Room, Drawing Room, Master Bedroom and Trophy Room. Even though I have ruled out the Master Bedroom as the location where Dr. Walker was murdered, the fact remains that it was the last room we can all agree on that he was last seen alive in. As for the weapons, here is what we know:
Sgt. Hamilton's Pistol- took it into his room when he went to bed, but was found this morning in the lounge.
Colonel Brooks' Revolver- Took it into his room when he went to bed, but was found this morning in the dining room.
Lead pipe- in the conservatory, then moved to the Library
Spanner (wrench)- In the conservatory, then moved to the Study
Candlestick- In the dining room, then moved to the drawing room
Rope- In the drawing room, then moved to the billiard room
Fire Poker- In the study, then moved to the Ballroom
Sword- In the trophy room, then moved to the Hall
Dagger- In the trophy room, then moved to the kitchen
Poison- In the kitchen, then moved to the conservatory
"And Reverend, I have reason to suspect it was you who moved the Poison" Gunnarson explained.
"Why?" Reverend Dixon asked.
"Simple; right next to the bottle of poison... was the Bible you were carrying with you last night" Gunnarson explained.
Everyone gasped as the Reverend suddenly looked nervous.

"Alright! i've been hiding something from all of you, but I am NOT the Murder!" shouted the Reverend in anguish
"Alright Reverend, what is it?" asked Gunnarson
"I'm... I'm not actually an ordained Priest..."

"What?! But we've been to your sermons before" Mrs. Clarke pointed out.
"Well...well I mean that I'm not a priest anymore. After the gambling incident I was stripped of the cloth, but the debt I incurred gave me problems. Without the tax exemptions from the government I would be forced to live on the streets. So I pulled a few favors and have been acting as if nothing changed. But then Dr. Walker found out and threatened to expose me! So I... I..." he began.
"You took the poison from the kitchen, and tried to poison him in the Conservatory?" A confused Professor Miller asked.

"I was tempted by the Devil's Hand itself, but before I could do the deed, I felt God's intervention tried to save my soul once more and I got cold feet, I hastily dropped the poison there and it seems I left my Bible there as well..." answered the Reverend
"So we're no closer to finding the Murder then?" asked Hamilton
"Not entirely Sergeant, I have another lead..." replied Gunnarson
"Well what is it then?' questioned Physician Warren

"Ms. Parker... care to explain why you took Sgt. Hamilton's gun last night?" Gunnarson asked, looking at her.

"What- but- I-"
"All of the clues show that indeed, you took the gun. One can deduce it because..."

... Sergeant Hamilton himself saw you take it. Now please, explain to us why you took his gun, and apparently, brought it to the lounge." Gunnarson explained.
"All right! I admit it!" Ms. Parker fumed. "I couldn't stand that Dr. Walker chose Physician Warren over me! So late at night, after everyone went to sleep, I snuck into Hamilton's room, took his gun, and went to find Walker. But he wasn't in bed. So I went downstairs, and when I got to the lounge..."

"I accidentally tripped. I was afraid the noise would wake someone up, so I put the gun down and went back to my room."

"A nice story. But now tell the truth, since the gun was fired three times" Gunnarson pointed out.
"What? How did you know I... gah! All right, all right. As soon as I entered the lounge, I saw someone. I thought it was Walker, so I fired. The person took off and when I went to pursue, I saw other people running around the place, so I threw the gun into the lounge and ran back to my room" Ms. Parker finished.
"So you're the one who tried to kill me!" A shocked Ms. Ellis shouted. Everyone looked at her.
"I was taking care of something I had forgotten about; what do you want from me?" She said, trying to deflect attention.
"Anyway, next question. Lady Goodwin, please explain why I found your glove from yesterday next to the dagger in the kitchen" Gunnarson asked.
"What? No! The dagger is in the trophy room where it belongs..." Lady Goodwin said nervously.
"Don't lie to me" Gunnarson said sternly. Lady Goodwin then shot up from her seat.
"Oh all right! I admit it! I..."

"...resented Dr. Walker! After he prevented my marriage from happening my life just fell apart. I have not been able to find another man as good as the first one, and I can never forgive him for that! So late last night, I asked Dr. Walker to come downstairs and meet me in the kitchen, as it was an extremely urgent matter I could not mention in front of the others. So I got the dagger from the Trophy room and went to the kitchen. Though to my shock there was no one there when I got to the kitchen, and when I looked back in the hall I saw numerous people, running all over the place with weapons as well! I was shocked, so in my haste I dropped the dagger in the kitchen and ran back to my room." She explained.
"So you were the one who Dr. Walker was seen talking to; interesting." Gunnarson surmised. Then he looked at another suspect.
"Professor Miller, upon close examination of the rope, was was surprised to discover that there were fibers on it. Fibers not to different... from the brown fibers of your sweater. Furthermore, Looking at the clothes you are wearing now- I can just make out some fibers stuck to your clothes that look like they came from the rope. Care to explain why you took it from the drawing room and put it in the billiard room?" Gunnarson asked.
At first nervous, the Professor jumped up. "All right it's true! Dr. Walker was a big investor in my research, and it really helped me out. But 4 months ago, he suddenly and without any warning stopped contributing financially to my research." Professor Miller explained.
"though from the sound of your voice, not all of the money went to your research..." Gunnarson replied suspiciously.
"Look! I'm not on drugs or anything like that, but I confess that I..."

The others were shocked!
"I see," said Gunnarson.

"You look nothing like an alcoholic though" Colonel Brooks observed.
"Of course not! I'm not a heavy drinker, but once you buy premium you don't go back" Professor Miller admitted. "Anyway, the financial losses were eating away at me. So in the night, I heard noise. I got up, and saw Dr. Walker running from room to room, being chased by others. I thought I could ambush him, so in the drawing room, I found the rope. So I went to the Billiard Room and waited. After 20 minutes, he did enter the room..."

"...but that was the last I saw before I blacked out."
Gunnarson was taken aback. "You were ambushed yourself?"
Miller coughed. "No, I er... fell asleep."
"Oh," said Gunnarson.
"I ended up waking at about 4 in the morning and then went back to my room."

"Well, if we are all doing this, I may as well come clean" Physician Warren began.
"Pardon?" Gunnarson asked.
"I resented always being called "physician" by him and everyone else... why can't I be called Doctor like him and everyone else who graduated our class! I didn't want to kill him though, I just wanted to scare some sense into him! So I got the sword from the trophy room, and after waiting a little while in the hall..."

Gunnarson was confused, "What do you mean?"

"I loved him; how could I do anything to hurt him? I mean, threatening him with a sword? What was I thinking?!" Physician Warren explained.
"Though there is something I want to know" Colonel Brooks pointed out.
"What's that?" Gunnarson asked.
"Mr. Ellis; why were you running across the rooms with the fire poker last night? What were you trying to accomplish?" He asked.
"I...uh... well I should as you the same question! After all, you were running around with the wrench!" Mr. Ellis shot back.
"One at a time! Mr. Ellis, you first" Gunnarson began.
"I've worked for Dr. Walker's family for many years, and the last time I got a pay raise was 12 years ago, same as my sister. For the amount of work we do, we deserve it! But no, he just had to keep us on practically poverty wages! So I took the fire poker from the study, and when I saw him in the ballroom..."

"...and I dropped the Poker and ran back to my room" he said with a sigh.
"And Colonel Brooks" Gunnarson said, changing directions.
"Walker knew about my trauma from that incident during the war, and tried to help me get past it with a drug he said he had developed; he said it would aid in dealing with my trauma. But then I found out that the drug was experimental, and I was merely a guinea pig for it. I was appalled! I am no lab rat! So during the night, I took the wrench from the conservatory, and when I got into the study..."

"And you just dropped the wrench on the way out of the study?" Gunnarson asked.
"Of course" Colonel Brooks replied.
"Well if we're all doing this" Mrs. Clarke said, "suppose I should inform you that I saw Sergeant Hamilton run from the dining room to the drawing room with the candlestick; he looked like he was going to attack someone" Mrs. Clarke said.
"Care to explain?" Gunnarson asked.
Hamilton awkwardly stared for a moment before finally giving in...
