172) Prince Hans' surname is Westergaard. 173) I saw it in a description on Deviantart and looked it up. Turns out it's official.

183) I honestly thought Richard's story would have a very different ending (the way it was set up, it was almost certain what course would have been taken had you not found a way around it; I liked that)

184. See, I don't like to see the engines scrapped, because it is, after all, a kids book (though Part One is NOT), so I made sure there would be a slip-up.

189. There are quite a few in-jokes in Part One of The Life & Times of Diesel 15. 190. I'm surprised no one's mentioned them yet.

191) Rereading is probably necessary to find them
192) The initial idea I had for Diesel 15 involved a flood ruining his APS. Though what happened during the flood, the initial idea was deemed too "ridiculous" and will probably be replaced by a currently unknown, more realistic event

194) The original concept for Diesel 15's flood was that the river that ran behind the shed was surging with the overflow of water, and began eroding the riverbank. As the ground simply collapsed from the water saturation, eventually the shed where the engines were kept started to collapse because the ground had become so soft. After a wall and buffer gave out, diesel 15 rolled backwards into the raging river. Fortunately, the other engines were out on the line at the time, but when they came back... their shed and Diesel 15 were no where to be found.
After the water levels returned to normal, he was found and recovered. Though his engine was cleaned, the APS was too severely damaged to be repaired.
