Magic as a force could be random and unpredictable at times... there have been situations where magic manifested in objects rather than humans, resulting in various effects on the environment and/or people around it. Other times, magic did manifest in people, but in such ways that it defied normal classification schemes.
As part of their duty of defending Ordos from all threats, sometimes the Colorfolk did not fight evil per se. In some situations, they had to respond to different kinds of threats. Namely, so called “Magically enhanced Items” and “Unconventional Magic Persons” fell under the responsibility of the Colorfolk to retrieve and contain as necessary. Despite the impression this gives, many of the Unconventional Magic Persons allowed themselves to be “contained” of their own free will, when realizing the full danger of the powers possessed. This is the record of the items and people the Colorfolk safely contained over the years

Guide to danger levels:
Level 1: Non-lethal, harmless Level 2: Nonlethal, substantial injury Level 3; Lethal, at individual level Level 4: Lethal, capable of killing small group Level 5: Lethal, capable of mass damage
CONTAINED OBJECTS
Item #001: “Cremation Helmet”
To the observer, a standard helmet from a typical suit of armor. Within minutes of being worn, however, the wearer spontaneously combusts and burns until nothing is left but a charred skeleton. Oddly, clothes and jewelry remained unharmed and intact. Discovered when the Colorfolk were asked to investigate an incident of spontaneous combustion. The victim was the Captain of the Knights for those barracks, and making things stranger, apparently the helmet was at least 7 years old, and this had never happened before. The helmet was determined to be the cause of the combustion because apparently the captain had been wearing the rest of his armor for at least two hours before applying the helmet. Curious to see if the effects were one off, two prisoners the king had sentenced to death had the helmet applied too then. Both times, the spontaneous combustion event took place.
Concluding that somehow, magic now imbued the helmet with a dangerous property, the Colorfolk requested to take possession of it since it presented a threat to the Ordosians; the King agreed and granted them the power to “secure dangerous magic objects” for the sake of Ordos. The helmet proved impossible to destroy, and thus was stored in a safe room beneath the great hall to ensure it would never harm others

The magic of the Unconventional people presented a unique challenge, as vallerium alone proved to not be an adequate solution, for reasons not fully understood.
In this summary, names have been withheld for privacy reasons
Person #001: “The Iron Man”
Instead of skin, body covered in a thin layer of an unknown metal; mostly solid with some malleability around joints. By his own account was not born this way; rather, it had “appeared overnight” as he described it. The metal is not armor; when touched he describes feeling the touching as if it was skin. When discovered, became social outcast out of fear of being contagious; this does not seem to be the case though. Willingly being contained by the Colormen to see if “cure” for condition can be found. As of now, does not seem likely due to Unconventional nature of magic involved. By his own admission, is a rather passive individual and not likely to harm others
