"All right, is everyone in position?" Frank said as he finished hanging up some balloons.
"Almost; just let me finish with the banner" Toz said as she hung it into place.
"Man, I can't wait to see the look on his face!" Eyes grinned as he set up the radio and the track list.
"You remembered not to use heavy metal though, right Eyes?" Frank said as he came down the ladder and put the tape down.
"Yes Frank; even I remember that episode of the sitcom" Eyes said as he set up the track list... then deleted a couple songs last minute.
"Quick! He's coming!" Their lookout said as they quickly shut the door.
"All right, everyone hide! Lights out!" Frank said as everyone ran to a part of the room while Eyes hit the light. Suddenly clunking as falling was heard. "Turn them on again! I can't see anything!" Frank shouted, the lights revealing he ran into a chair as he put it back up again. Once behind the table though, "Ok, lights off again!" Frank called out.
It had only been a minute when the door opened and the man himself opened the door. "Huh? I mean it has been quiet but since when do the lights stay out?" Tug asked in confusion as he put them on again, and right on cue, a number of people leaped out of hiding
"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUG!" the assembled group declared as Frank and some others threw confetti in the air and Eyes hit turned the radio on.
"What?! Oh come on guys, I can't believe you got me!" Tug said in disbelief; after all he was one of the people behind Toz' surprise birthday last year.
"And we got the banner right on the first go around!" Frank said proudly as he indicated its proper wording.
"What? No anagrams this time?" Tug asked in confusion
"Honestly the only semi-decent ones were "Taught Happy Birdy" and "Hybrid Patty Paugh" so we skipped that" Frank said with a shrug.
"Never mind Frank's stupid jokes, there's some guests here who'd like to say a few words" Toz declared as some of Tug's creations from over the years popped up.
"Arrgh matey; it may have been a few years since we crossed, but Pirates was some of the most fun that came to be on 3WSR. You've got quite a love of pirates and this kind of stories, and it really showed here. Frank may have tried to keep us based on real pirates at first, but you showed how that wasn't necessary to have that kind of basis and really showed what we could pull off. Thanks for creating me, and I hope to see you around again" Captain Tuggington said as he raised a glass.
"I don't know if you intended me to turn out that way when I first debuted, but my G2 reveal is possibly one of the most unexpected parts of Literary Mosaic. To take me from mobster and right hand man to G2 agent and now... well, we know what I'm getting at. The point is, even though I may not be the primary lead in the series, when the driver's seat is at my perspective, you really know how to make me shine, and I couldn't be more grateful. Here's to you Tug; and looking forward to where my story goes next" Finn said as he gave the next toast.
"I sure had a lot of fun back in the days of the sitcom. Even if I wasn't truly a character and more so a fictionalized version of you, the misadventures you took me on with the gang made that story stand out. Whether on the hunt for Fool's Gold Roger's treasure or getting back at Eyes by making a separate band, you didn't post as much compared to Toz, but when you did, you knew how to make the sitcom fun. Thanks for the memories" Sitcom Tug said as he raised a glass.
"As far as VEC members go, you really knew how to make me stand out; especially during that Impel Down arc and the assorted battles I fought in. Managed to pull off a lot of interesting feats and adventures with you at the helm of my personal story, and when the time comes for my proper debut in 4WSR, I can only wonder where you'll take me in the new canon" Blood Alchemist said as he raised a glass.
"While I didn't do much compared to most other characters, you have big plans in store for me to shape me up to be one of the best 3WSR villains that exists. Not to mention there's more to me than what appears on the surface, a style you truly have a knack for. Here's to you tug, the best battle writer on the forum" Metalicana said as he raised his toast.
"I didn't appear until the end of the original canon, but oh boy did you really make me stand out for the last major arc. It was so... marvelous! Ha ha! I made myself laugh! But more importantly, my tournament showed us just what you were capable of, and how good you could bounce off each of the writers, and how well the writers bounced of each other when you weren't involved. As far as your collaborations with Frank go, Vados vs BT and MiB vs Doruk, true highlights of my tournament. I hope you'll find a place for me come the future of the new canon" Mister Marvelous said as he raised a glass.
"You brought me into LM 4 when it wasn't sure what the direction was for a few posts; and I am grateful that you did. I could have just ended up a one off, forgotten protagonist, but you turned me into the detective who tackles the strange cases. Even if my plot doesn't tend to intertwine with most of the rest of LM lore, the way you tied me into the Irish mob was nothing short of a shock, and a highlight of my run. I may not be as major a player as Gunnarson or even Marlena, but I look forward to where you are taking me" Stein said as he raised a glass.
"CHEERS!" Everyone said in delight as they drank together.
"Hey! You call this a drink! Find me something stronger!" Tuggington said as he threw his glass to the ground.
"Watch yourself Tuggington, you're among those who can actually hurt you know" Blood Alchemist warned.
"NEITHER of you have any power in this plane, so play nice" Frank reminded them.
"And here's a little something from all of us" Toz said as Tug was handed a wrapped package. Once the paper came off, Tug lit up, "I can't believe it! How did you guys know? I 've always wanted such a fine..."
