In this completely non-canon one-off, we witness our beloved cast of Literary Mosaic celebrate 5 years of 3WSR.
.........
A grand party was being held in a London banquet hall, as our assembled group is gathered to celebrate a most momentous occasion: the ones who gave them life have been in business for 5 years, and the so called "3WSR" Anniversary was a celebration befitting of its grandeur.
A varied cast of characters sit down at their tables, enjoying good food, drinking wine and sharing stories.
In our first conversation, we see Gent, Hartley and Gunnarson talking among themselves.
"I know we were late to 3WSR and all, but you've got to admit- compared to all those other guys around here, we are definitely the second biggest story here in terms of importance. It truly has been a pleasure to have been a part of all this" Gunnarson declared.
"Things may have been rocky at the start, but we really are figuring out what works and what doesn't, and I look forward to what our future adventures will bring" Hartley added.
"Well, my role will be reduced going forward, but it has been a pleasure to have helped define phase one of LM; here's hoping there will still be a place for me in phase 2" Gent mused, before the three toasted their glasses.
At another table, Marlena was talking to Mason Byrne and Detective Hardstuckle.
"I wasn't sure what to expect from you at first, given that you were shaping up to be just another generic detective, but your betrayal was a pretty brilliant move and I can only wonder where our story is going" Marlena complimented Byrne.
"Well, the fallen archetype is a bit of a cliche, but I think that with the right execution, I could probably become one of the best villains moving forward; a "new Blade" if you will.
"But does that mean you will be primarily be facing me or Gunnarson?" Marlena asked.
"I honestly don't know; I am looking forward to the end of 18 though, this volume has been brilliant so far" Byrne mused.
"I've only had some small supporting roles to date; I sure hope there's a place for me in phase 2" Hardstuckle commented.
"I'm sure there will be; play it right and you might be the focus of a deck of cards or two" Marlena assured.
By the exit, Walton was talking to a man who looked strangely like himself, "Now you listen here, prototype me, I'll admit I had the roughest start of all, and I messed up in my early entries because my progenitor's idea of a foil was mishandled; but I think that after 14 I've really come into my own and as a character I'm not just existing to "annoy Gunnarson" anymore; so you can take a hike! I'm a better character now and I hope my upcoming arc will address that clearly" he said, turning his back on his former self and going over to join Finn.
"Man, your turncoat reveal was brilliant" Walton commented.
"You didn't think I was just a mobster, did you? Not much as been said about me going forward, but I think you will like were I eventually end up in this phase" Finn assured as the two toasted glasses.
At another table, Lord Bury, Napoleon, Shadow and the One-Eyed Man were enjoying their meals. "So... you're supposed to be the "big deal" going forward, eh? Well don't get too comfortable, because my big reveal is going to blow you away" Shadow bragged to Lord Bury.
"Easy now; we haven't even scratched the surface of my story after all. There is still one more lieutenant to bring in for me, and you could say he is a "cut" above the rest" Bury said with a devious grin.
"Now now, nobody get too big for their britches. I think you will find that my story... is the most plot shattering of all" The One Eyed Man said as he clasped his hands and tapped his fingers.
"You're not the only big shot anymore One-Eye; know your place because The Army of the Fallen will have their chance to shine, mark my words" Napoleon stated indignantly as One Eye simply looked on.
And at another table, the four writers looked over what they had yielded over the years. "Man, these guys really are amazing" Frank observed.
"I'm excited for Phase 2; just need to wait for 18 to finish" Tug added.
"It's coming, it's coming! Anyway, wonder why TGC never got involved with this?" Toz mused.
"Eh, not his cup of tea. More importantly guys, I really hope you get through 18 and 19 soon, cause you're going to love where 20 goes" Eyes bragged.
"JJE has had a very rocky run here Eyes, so it will be interesting to see his "big reveal" to say the least" Frank informed
"Don't worry, it'll work out" Eyes assured as the group settled down and continued to enjoy the party.
