"Golly gee!" Man In Blue said, pouring a cup of cocoa as Woman In Silver stoked the fire. "What an exciting year we've had!"
"Yeah! Especially those last four months! So many twists and turns in the game!" Woman In Silver added.
"There's just one thing remaining: to decorate the great hall for Christmas!"
"I wonder how colorfolk in the olden days celebrated christmas..." Woman In Silver mused. "I bet there was all kinds of magic, excitement, and joy."
"Well, I mean, the early colorfolk probably weren't really exposed to Christmas as we know it." Man In Blue pointed out. "Although I'm sure they had some sort of winter solstice holiday."
"And imagine how warm and cozy the great hall must have been..."

The Brotherhood Of The Yeti has cast a mighty frost spell over the island of Ordos, covering it in ice. The colorfolk lay huddled in the great hall, while the fire mages began the process of thawing.
"Just leave them alone, you said!" Man In Black muttered. "They aren't a real threat, you said!"

Man In Blue smiled. "The colorfolk were known for their generosity, I suspect they also did nice things for the people of the island too."
"Especially to get them through the winter months! Food would have been scarce, after all."

"Orc Chieftan Konglak, to celebrate the winter solstice this year and our continued alliance, we have prepared a mighty feast for you!"
The table was piled high with fruits, vegetables, and cheeses, preserved in the Great Hall's underground chambers. But the Orcs looked uncomfortable.
Konglak's wife, Grab'kal, spoke up. "Grab'kal appreciates the gesture, but do colorfolk know that orcs only can eat meat?"
The colorfolk looked at each other, embarrassed.
"Well, this is awkward... I'll go thaw out some pork, I guess..."

"I mean, it can't always have been that nice." Woman In Silver mused. "There was a lot of war in the early days, but even still, they must have made time for celebration."

"Harbingers Of Famine!" Man In Gold yelled. "Today is the winter solstice! Let us cast aside our differences and celebrate a day of peace!"
A Famine Sorceress looked up at the colorfolk and lobbed a Famine Bomb in their direction. All the food that the colorfolk had brought as a peace offering was destroyed, and several of the colorfolk were very weakened.
"So much for that plan... run!"

Man In Blue and Woman In Silver continued reminiscing about colorfolk past, hoping for a nice, festive christmas. Did they get one? Of course not! A colorfolk's work is never finished.
