~EPILOGUE SIX~
Martins was speaking with Agent Dillon on the matter of the closings of the Irish Mob case as they proceeded towards the interview...
"So, Agent Dillon, the status of the lieutenants then?" asked Martins
"We have confirmed two dead, Connolly was killed while in prison due to an unknown assassin, which we now believe to be the work of O'Connor, and Doc was killed seemingly in a struggle to an unknown assailant. Kelly is currently in prison in Britain like Connolly was and though he was a high ranking official, we're leaving him there as a transfer could be dangerous especially if Connolly's killer wasn't O'Connor's doing, so he'll be tried with the the rest of London Branch Managers for the time being. We transferred Murphy back here with O'Connor, and is currently imprisoned together with a cellmate 'Darcy McLaughlin', a member of the Free Ireland Movement with ties to the case... Mulligan's fate is still unknown..." replied Dillon
"What's the consensus on the Mob wholly here and abroad?"
"The Mob's branch in London has collapsed and Scotland Yard has arrested all of the remaining heads who were still loyal to O'Connor. There is no infrastructure left to maintain it and most likely the remaining mobsters trapped abroad will either be arrested soon due to no proper leadership, or seek out other employers, but that is London's problem now... Here, there's a power vacuum now that O'Connor's gone, so the Mob will most likely splinter, but if not they will not be as strong as under O'Connor's leadership..." answered Dillon
"Even if it's a faux peace, I'll take it, but we'll still have to deal with the rebels, so what's the Free Ireland Movement's status?" questioned Martins
"O'Connor was heavily connected to the FIM behind the scenes, so they've lost a major backer, though now that it's come to light they most likely will break ties with the criminal underworld, but the rebellions in the North will still be a problem, and if O'Connor were to ever return it could be downright dangerous..." responded Dillon
"And let's hope that day never comes, speaking of the devil..." the two finally approached a door, Dillon opened it as Martins marched right in, with Dillon right behind, Commander Martins sat down face to face with the illustrious Ryan O'Connor himself, as Dillon leaned against the wall...
"Ah Commander Martins, what a pleasure to make your acquaintance, I've heard so much about you in the Underworld, especially with that price sitting on your head... By the way, where's dear Patrick, I would love to go another round with him..." smirked O'Connor as the handcuffed criminal rattled the table he was attached to...
"You won't be getting to see him, he's already on another assignment, and besides, where you're going, you won't even get to see the sun much less Agent Finnegan..." growled Martins
"Well I tried at least, so, what do you want from me, I thought you had a pretty open and shut case?" asked O'Connor
"We want... Your opinion..." spoke Dillon
"My opinion? Don't make me laugh! Oh wait... Your serious... Fine, I'll humor you, what do you want my opinion on exactly?" wondered O'Connor
"Tell us your opinion on the future of crime, both here and abroad, your thoughts on abroad can be repayment for Scotland Yard's assistance in catching you..." ordered Martins
"Here's pretty easy, but abroad is a tough one... First off is here on the Emerald Isles, you may have taken me down but my Empire will reign, I knew this day would come and left behind all the tools needed to re-consolidate power in my name once more, even if I'm not the one to do it... With my arrest, many in the underworld will be after my empty throne, and chaos will ravage until someone takes that seat, and the one I left my kingdom to will be able to use my name with my full support... Enjoy your peace while you can Commander, for my successor will come and the Irish Mob will rise again, taking vengeance on G2... Sort of like a 'Dullahan', huh..." laughed O'Connor
"Stop your nonsense O'Connor! Just tell us your thoughts on crime abroad so we can be done with your madness!" yelled Martins
"Now across the pond, that's tricky... Blade's got no power left so I wouldn't worry to much about him... But there were a bunch of criminal groups gaining strength that even I wouldn't want to deal with, which was why I wanted to cease operations in London after killing 'Agent' Finnegan... The most dangerous groups to watch out for are definitely the Ripper Underground and the Spider's Web, the people working behind the scenes for those groups are more dangerous than most realize..." answered O'Connor rather honestly...
"Thank you for the information, maybe the judge will be lenient enough to knock a few years off your 300 year sentence..." replied Martins as he got up to leave with Dillon
"Been a pleasure Commander..." smirked O'Connor as he began to hum "A Nation Once Again"...
