"He was always trying to control her. I don't know if it was to protect her or to spite her, but it certainly didn't leave them on the best of terms" Franz explained
"I see. Were you also downstairs all night?"
"Yes; he insisted we stay downstairs" Franz explained.
"I'd like to ask you three questions myself" Gunnarson began
"Go ahead" Franz replied.
"The first question is..."

"...do you know of anyone who would wish him dead?"
Franz took a moment to think. "Well," he said at last...

"There were a few people; but I never got to know them myself... I only saw them from a distance, if you will" Franz explained.
"My second question is a bit more complex so please bear with me. Between you and Franz, did either of you owe money to each other?" Gunnarson asked
"Well, he owed me 80 pounds from a car repair I helped pay off a couple months ago... guess I won't be getting that money back" Franz admitted
"And did he ever interfere in any of your relationships?"
"Other than this one time where helped me realize someone I was dating was just using me for money... not really
"And the last part... did he do anything to you that made you feel like you wanted to take Justice into your hands?" Gunnarson asked.
"Well, about three years ago there was an incident involving a business I was running and... I prefer not to say more" Franz finished.
"Excuse is for a moment" Gunnarson said as he and Evans walked to another part of the room. "He appears to have some hints of motive from money and revenge"
"I agree but who kills over 80 pounds?" Evans asked
"You'd be surprised..." Gunnarson said dryly
"What now?" Evans asked

Gunnarson looked out the window to see the snowstorm was getting worse, "I shall go see if Annette has calmed down as ask about the motive; then, I must leave. I do not want to be stuck here in the snowstorm" he explained.
Gunnarson found Annette downstairs with the others. He did ask her the same three questions as the others, but she said no to all of them. Now satisfied, Gunnarson bid Detective Evans and the officers farewell and left to go home. Luckily, he lived less than a mile from the crime scene, but it still took him nearly 40 minutes to walk home in the snow. By the time he finally reached his apartment, it was clear that he had made it just in time.
"I suppose I should call Gent and ensure he made it home safely" he thought as he went to pick up his phone.
