Meanwhile, Admiral Diesel and his crew, and the men from Trevors's ship, had managed to find an island to dock at.
Diesel jumped down, followed by the crew. The looked all around. The island appeared to be uninhabited.
"Sir, where the hell are we?" asked a crew member.
"Do I look like a psychic to you? How should I know? It doesn't appear to be on our maps, and I don't recall being here before."
"Wait," said the Manxman perched at the top of the mast, "I know this place. EVERYONE! GET BACK ON BOARD!!"
They started running back to the ship, and lifted anchor seconds before the Kraken awoke...

Anyway, after the Mechanized Pirates had repaired their ship, gathered new crew and supplies, as well as more booze, the Scrap Iron Dreadnought departed from Vaximus' port and in the dark of the night, they came across a rather strange sloop...
"Captain, we've spotted a ship, presumably a sloop, off our port side, your orders?" asked a pirate
"It doesn't seem like any merchant vessel I've ever seen, board the ship and ask to see their captain, I'll follow aboard shortly..." replied Tuggington as boarding lines were thrown onto the Saltash...
Aboard the little sloop however...

Something was amiss.
----------
Jack Sproket looked out at the ocean, and followed that look with an explicit.
"Is that the Dreadnought?!" he cried.
Some meters away, there it was.
"I'm gonna show that Tuggington a thing or two!" he said, and ran off to find his ship.
Unfortunately he forgot where it was anchored, and by the time he had found it and set sail, the Dreadnought was gone.
"DAMN YOU TUGGINGTON!!"

Zeno was roused from a relaxing slumber by Brinley. "Sir, there's a pirate ship trying to board us!"
"Adorable." Zeno quickly dressed and ran to the deck. "Why, Brinley, you didn't tell us our invaders were famous!" He drew a sword in his left hand as three pirates approached.
"Stand fast, scallywag!" Yelled the middle pirate. "Make way for Captain Tuggington!"
"Give your captain my regards, his exploits against the royal navy have greatly helped traders like me avoid unnecessary searches. We are delivering fresh tangerines and limes to Vortun, and we must hurry or they'll spoil. So though I'd love to stay and chat-"
"You arrn't goin' nowhere, matey." The middle pirate said. "Ye just wait right thar while me-"
The duck foot pistol in Tiberius' right hand worked like a charm, hitting all three men and throwing them overboard.
"Huh. I'm never that lucky." Tiberius quickly cut the boarding lines, raised a sail, and was off at a breakneck pace before the other pirates even knew what was going on.

20 miles off the coast of Vortun, The Grey Eagle arrived at the site. It was not pleasant- 3 half-destroyed pirate ships plus tons of debris in the immediate vicinity. Though it seemed that other than the occasional body on top of a large piece of wood, there weren't that many, nor was there any substantial sign of life.
"What do we do sir?" Frank asked.
"Launch the skiffs and start bringing in the debris; most of the small stuff you should be able to pick up, but any larger ones try and maneuver alongside; we'll use the winches to haul them on board" Captain Jones explained.
Eight small boats were launched, and the crewmen began recovering debris; the clean up operation had begun.
"Why are doing this anyway sir? Ships abandoned like that tend to sink in a matter of time anyway" one sailor asked Frank.
"This is a major shipping lane between Vortun, Raglia and Densera; get a good amount of fog down and those floundering ships are an accident waiting to happen" Frank explained. He then looked through his telescope to identify the ships. "looks like the two sloops are called the Cobra and the Viper, and the galleon is called the Serpent" he said. "We'll start with the Cobra; it's closer" Frank concluded. His skiff sailed alongside and he went up a boarding ladder to get topside.

"And I just had recruited them to join my crew... Pity..." said a voice as Zeno drew his pistol to see it aimed at none other than Tuggington himself...
"How, did you get on board?" asked Zeno, still without removing his gun form pointing at the pirate captain
"I sent those three as the advance guard and was right behind them, didn't you here them announcing my arrival? Oh wait, you shot them..." said Tuggington as his face turned sour
"If you saw me do that then you definitely heard my compliments regarding you Captain..." responded Zeno
"Stop with the chivalries Zeno, if your reputation pursues you, then you should know why I'm here..." replied Tuggington
"to plunder and murder my crew and ship?" answered Zeno with a shot in the dark...
"Hell no! I want you to join my crew!" replied Tuggington with a smile
"Wha???" questioned Zeno
"Oh, and if you except the offer, I'll let you keep this ship, been wanting to expand my crew to a fleet ever since that Admiral began his chase against me, so what's your answer?" added Tuggington

Tiberius grinned. "I am flattered, simply flattered, but, alas, I must decline. You see, I am currently engaged in a personal quest. After its completion, which I estimate will occur in a week or less, I'd be more than happy to join you for a spell. Then again, I do have the most wanted man in the Aderan sea alone and outnumbered on my ship, with a sizeable bounty on his head... decisions, decisions..."

All was quiet as Frank and 3 of the 5 men in the boat with him climbed on top of the Cobra. With the mast gone, it was just the ship itself. Frank looked around and it was pretty clear what had endured here.
"This sloop never stood a chance; explosive shot primarily used by the looks of it. Had it been grape shot we'd see a lot more bodies" Frank concluded.
They searched the ship and found little of value. Other than some items of note, most everything on the Cobra was destroyed or lost. They only found four bodies on the whole ship.
"the crew must have abandoned ship when they realized the ship was lost; though why there aren't more bodies is beyond me" Frank said. Then, one of his men came from below.
"Lower deck's got four feet of water and slowly rising; even if we got a line on this ship now, it's not making it to port" he said.
"And the powder room?" Frank asked.
"Intact but nearly wet; should we set a charge?" the man asked.
"No, I will handle this; the rest of you get in the boat" Frank ordered. And indeed, five minutes later Frank joined them in the skiff. As they rowed away the Cobra turned onto its side and sank. "How did you...?" One of the men asked.
"Studied ship anatomy during my time in the navy; once you understand a ship's design its fairly straightforward to sink it without powder" Frank explained.
They then began making their way towards the Viper.

"Mr. Zeno it would do you very bad to fight me, there's a reason why they call me the 'Metal Monster' and I rather would not like to resort to you coming to know why, so how about this, I will pledge my life and crew as help you complete, numbers are always useful, and if my assistance is useful in your quest, then you and your comrades will join my crew... Does that sound fair?" responded Tuggington, showing no signs of aggression...

Meanwhile, everyone on the Annihilator had gaping mouths.
"It's... it's... a Kraken!"
"This could be very bad..." said Admiral Diesel.

"Load the grape shot; let's buy time for us to get out of here!" Admiral Diesel ordered the artillery.
The cannons prepped, and when "fire!" was shouted, the Kraken screeched in pain as it was blasted by what was a series of giant shotguns.
"Reload!" he called out.
"Orders, sir?" the man at the wheel asked.
"Get us out of here!" Admiral Diesel declared.

But before they could do that, the Kraken lunged at them in anger.
"WE'RE GOING TO DIE!!"
"How picked you as sailors?!" cried the Admiral. "Goddamn, I have to do everything myself around here..."

Tiberius considered the offer. "I am flattered, but this is a quest I must undertake on my own. However, there is one thing you can do. You see, I desire to commandeer the Queen Redicci III, the largest ship ever built. I intend to sneak in on my own, but once you see this flag-" here he held up a blue flag with a brown viper insignia- "flying from its mast, then swarm the decks of the ship- damage nothing and kill only naval officers, but them mercilessly. I reserve the right to take whatever riches from the ship I see fit for myself and give you none, however, as I don't need your help to pull this off."

"Alright, I'll except those terms if you join my crew..." replied Tuggington with his arms crossed, not giving up
"You're not going to make this easy, are you?" responded Zeno
"I know who you are Tiberius Zeno, and I want you on my crew, I don't care have many times you change the deal, but if you don't make an agreement with me, I'll just keep refusing your refusal..." answered Tuggington

Suddenly, a figure jumped on deck. "Tuggington! I'll have your ass!!"
"That can't be..."
"That's right, it is I, Jack Sproket."
"Who?" Zeno said confused.
Sproket cocked a gun and pointed it at Tuggington. "NOW DIE!!"
----------------
"We're all gonna die!" cried one of Admiral Diesel's crew members.
They waited as the Kraken lunged...

EPISODE 3 Before boarding the Viper, Frank's skiff met with another to unload what was recovered from the Cobra. "Four bodies, the ship's log... and a few other trinkets here and there. We're hoping the Viper proves more fruitful" Frank said. When Frank did get on board... the state was not much better than what was seen on the Cobra. "Either these ships weren't carrying much, or these pirates buried something they did not want us to find" Frank concluded. Indeed, other than some small things, the ship's long, and some barrels of rum, there was little of value worth salvaging. They did find seven bodies though, including... Seems the captain refused to be taken alive" one man observed as Frank nodded in agreement. It was the captain, and it was clear that the fired flintlock in his hand... had been held against his head before he died. After loading what they could into the skiff, Frank asked about the lower decks. "I saw at least three big holes down there; the water's coming in at a steady pace. I'd say we've got 10 minutes at best" the sailor said. "Right; everyone off! Salvage operation is complete!" Frank called out. They were about 100 yards away from the Cobra when she finally slipped beneath the waves. "Lunch break everyone! Head back to the ship!" Frank ordered. The skiffs sailed back to the Grey Eagle for some food. Frank explained what was found to Captain Jones. "I will personally handle the logs. Between what you've found and the other skiffs... looks like we've recovered 37 bodies at this point" he explained. "Well, you know the law sir; all bodies must be turned over to port authorities, i.e. the Navy. Looks like most of these men are pirates but there's a few sailors among them" Frank observed. "We're keeping them on ice; hopefully we'll get back to port before they start stinking up the place. All right everyone listen up! I need you to eat up quickly! We're only sanctioned to operate as long as the sun is up!" Captain Jones called out. "Yes sir!" the crew replied as they continued with lunch. Elsewhere...

Sproket shot the pistol, and when it hit Tuggington's face, it merely bounced off and landed on the deck...
"But, but how?" questioned Sproket as Tuggington whipped out his own pistol and shot him point blank, killing him and kicking him off the deck and into the sea's dark abyss...
"Now, back to negotiations... Where do you stand Mr. Zeno?" asked Tuggington

Back on the Grey Eagle, Frank had just finished his meal when he went to talk to the other men on the skiffs.
"We took the liberty of scouting ahead on the Serpent sir; good news is her hull is solid and she doesn't have much water down below. Bad news is a fair deal is damaged; may take a while to search it." the sailor said.
"Hmm... all right, here's what I'm thinking- let's get the important stuff and bodies off the ship first, then we'll throw the lines on her, tow her to port, and once docked we'll search it for anything else of value, and then turn it over to the breakers" Frank proposed.
"Sounds good to me; let's be quick about this lads! I want to get back to port while the sun is still up!" Captain Jones called out.
......
Hours later, people on the island were surprised to see a merchant ship towing a damaged pirate ship into the port at Vortun; some officials from the Navy were there to greet Captain Jones and his officers.
"You'd best talk to my second mate sirs; he was in charge of the salvage operation" Captain Jones explained. Frank sat down at a table with the officials.
"Where would you like me to start?" Frank asked.

.....
Admiral Diesel couldn't understand how he was put in this situation, his entire battleship destroyed and all his crew dead, with the beast's slimy tentacles dangling him above the leviathan's mouth...
