Though the family name is Gridlon, often, the men of the Cerulean bloodline are simply known by their first names, and the ----slayer, depending on the creature type they were known for slaying. Many of them have become revered figures in Sudrian/European history, in the same vein as St. George and the Dragon, Theseus and the Minotaur, and Perseus and Medusa.
1) Albern the Golemslayer
Born: 1073
Died: 1171
Held the title: 1100 - 1150
NOTE: Perfected the spell which allowed him to control his size, thus giving rise to the legend of the Cerulean Giants. Became a hero during the Masteri War when his size allowed him to fight large golems on an equal playing field. His most famous feats included winning the Battle of Skarloey virtually on his own; while he fought the 15 golems sent against him, the 19 Colormen under his command attacked the Masteri mages directly; killing four of the five. Man In Cerulean destroyed all 15 golems sent against him. Later on, in the Fourth Battle of Northern Sodor, he single handedly destroyed 60 golems, forever cementing his legend as a hero of Sodor. After passing his spell onto the other shads of Cerulean that existed at the time, the legend of The Cerulean Giants was forever sealed during the Fall of Masteri Castle, when they acted as the primary fighting force against the Golems while the other Colormen fought the mages directly.
2) Seth the Dragonslayer
Born: 1104
Died: 1193
Held the title: 1150-1190
NOTE: His most famous feat was killing Ventus, the most powerful Air Dragon to ever exist. Described as "large enough to cast his shadow over any town, his mighty winds destroyed everything in a matter of seconds." And yet, being an air dragon his scales were not as armored compared to other subspecies, leaving him vulnerable to attack with Man In Cerulean's artifact. The Spike of Gridlon easily penetrated his hide, and it only took 3 stabs to defeat him. To "ensure he would never return" his body was cut up and burned in several pyres across Sodor. His wings however, were preserved among the Colormen's collection of specimens, as a reminder of the danger Air dragons possessed.
3) Kelvin the Hydraslayer
Born: 1131
Died: 1220
Held the title: 1190-1219
NOTE: When he was 70 years old, he began a 2 year campaign that purged the Hydra population of Sodor. Not one species saw the Hydra as a good thing, and the fact that none possessed human intelligence, and thus were incapable of reason, was "all the justification that was needed." The fact that he killed them all when he was 70 years old made him legendary, and his story is often used to remind others that "you are only as old as you feel"
4) Ronald the Ogerslayer
Born: 1170
Died: 1263
Held the title: 1219-1255
NOTE: His most famous feat was killing Delgor, the "Terror of Northern Sodor." Soon after killing the Ogre, a painting depicting him slaying the Ogre was made, becoming one of the most famous pieces of art of the time. Since WWI though, it has been kept in the archives of the Sodor Museum for safekeeping.
5) Gideon the Ogreslayer
Born: 1211
Died: 1295
Held the title: 1255-1290
NOTE: Sudrian Ogres became a real problem in the years following Delgor's death; Gideon finished the work of his father and killed the ogres of Sodor. Because they were all evil and lacked human intelligence, it was said that after Gideon's actions, "a great shadow was lifted off Sodor, and at last our island felt just a little bit safer"
6) Herman the Peacemaker
Born: 1240
Died: 1333
Held the title: 1290-1325
NOTE: Preferring not to fight, he spent his time building relationships with the Good tribes of giants that were nearest to Sodor. Being the first man to do so, he is widely regarded as the first "human diplomat" to the giants. Though the War of the Giants had been raging for decades, it was his actions that cemented the relationship among the Peaceful Giants and Colormen to be more than just mere military assistance.
7) Oswald Gridlon
Born: 1269
Died: 1350
Held the title: 1325-1335
NOTE: Because he didn't want his son to take the title as an old man, he decided to limit his term to 10 years. Despite killing 20 fire dragons and 15 electric dragons during the course of his time, he decided not to take the title of "dragonslayer," preferring not to be compared to his ancestor.
8) Norris the sirenslayer
Born: 1303
Died: 1393
Held the title: 1335-1370
NOTE: After enough ships had been destroyed by sirens; Norris was given the rather unorthodox task of destroying the Siren colonies nearest Sodor. Collaborating with Seafaring Colormen, he traveled to where Sirens had been located, and destroyed their colonies rather quickly. Because of the Colormen immunity to hypnotism, the Siren's song proved useless against the Colormen. All 4 siren colonies around Sodor had been destroyed by 1345.
9) Keaton the Rokslayer
Born: 1338
Died: 1418
Held the title: 1370-1400
NOTE: When a flock of "giant eagles too large to be eagles" appeared and began attacking the Sudrian people, he lead his fellow Cerulean giants into battle against them and wiped them out in the course of a week.
10) Brock Gridlon
Born: 1377
Died: 1461
Held the title: 1400-1430
NOTE: Born paralyzed, he spent his days studying the "mythical" creatures, planning the best methods to defeat them for the sake of his descendants
11) Brian the Dragonslayer
Born: 1405
Died: 1502
Held the title: 1430-1460
NOTE: One night in 1453, a swarm of Dark dragons descended onto Sodor. With almost everyone else caught off guard, Brian led his fellow Cerulean guards into battle. By the time the sun rose, there were over 200 dead Dark dragons. This victory, while it did not cause the extinction of the Dark dragons outright, it did hasten it, and he was subsequently honored with a (human size) statue in his hometown. It stands to this day.
12) Harold the Dragonslayer
Born: 1434
Died: 1500
Held the title: 1460-1488
NOTE: Realizing the best way to stop dragons was to prevent them from attacking in the first place, he primarily focused on locating the nests of evil dragons that could not be reasoned with, and destroying the eggs before destroying the parents. By his own estimates, the number of dragon eggs he destroyed was "over 9000"
13) Casper the Krakenslayer
Born: 1460
Died: 1555
Held the title: 1488-1530
NOTE: When krakens appeared off the coast of Sodor and began terrorizing ships, Casper took to the seas and killed them in a campaign that lasted 14 years. Though records from the time indicate that he killed more than 400, it remains unknown what became of their bodies.
14) Dillon the Quiet
Born: 1489
Died: 1593
Held the title: 1530-1560
NOTE: A mute his whole life, he never spoke. Unable to speak spells, he was the only Cerulean to never become giant. He left his mark by killing small dragons that were terrorizing towns around Sodor.
15) Douglas Gridlon
Born: 1516
Died: 1615
Held the title: 1560-1580
NOTE: Realizing that by now, Sodor had been freed of most of the evil creatures, he decided the time had come to travel Europe and other surrounding lands, and ensure that "The evil creatures that plague our lands, cease to do so". Though the purges of magical creatures had been going on for a while, his travels to Europe was significant, for it marked the beginning of one of the most important, yet secret campaigns in European history.
16) Samuel the Wanderer
Born: 1545
Died: 1625
Held the title: 1580-1600
NOTE: Continuing his father's work, he went where he was needed, and destroyed many evil mythical creatures that had been plaguing Europe for centuries.
17) Martin the Traveler
Born: 1579
Died: 1658
Held the title: 1600-1630
NOTE: Continued the work of his father and grandfather; one year after the shattering of the Prism, he became depressed by what had become of his brothers, and committed suicide
18) Nathaniel Gridlon
Born: 1610
Died: 1692
Held the title: 1612-1640

20) Oliver Gridlon
Born: 1666
Died: 1730
Held the title: 1685-1710
NOTE:
Felt that the work of his ancestors was "complete" and ended the campaign. Stayed hidden to ensure the survival of his bloodline
21) George Gridlon
Born: 1694
Died: 1792
Held the title: 1710-1750
NOTE: Deciding that the time had come to see the world, but without having to worry about fighting mythical creatures, he took his family and they began a journey around the world. His diaries are among the most popular reads in the archives.
22) Paul Gridlon
Born: 1730
Died: 1834
Held the title: 1750-1800
NOTE: At fifty years, his tenure remains one of the longest a Colorman has ever served. And yet, despite a few recorded accounts of fighting some evil mythical creatures that had survived the purges, he would not take on a title.
23) Austin Gridlon
Born: 1765
Died: 1860
