In the era before the Giants settled on Elbaf, they lived all over the world; primarily in Europe and Asia, with other tribes scattered throughout.
The giants lived in tribes and could be divided into two types: the peaceful, or "civilized" giants who sought a harmonious existence with humans and only saw battle as a means of defense. But this was only about 1/4 of the giants.
3/4 of the giants were barbarians; bloodthirsty savages who knew nothing beyond warfare, pillaging and destruction. At least, that was all that was ever seen of them. For them, warfare was a way of life. This story is one of many that show the differences in how the tribes operate.
...........
It was a peaceful day in Western Europe. In an area of what is now France, there was a secluded countryside where a village of giants lived. They were a peaceful, civilized tribe, who were settled and lived off the land. They farmed crops and raised animals for food, and had craftsmen who could cover most of their needs. It was a nice village; not too big and not too small. They had a small army; but it's size was appropriate; 500 soldiers to defend the 3,000 who lived here.
They were a welcoming, hospitable people, and today was special. A nomadic, peaceful tribe was coming in today, seeking shelter for the evening. While not settled like the other tribe, these nomadic giants were also peaceful, and saw warfare as only necessary for defense. In fact, of the 1500 members of this tribe, only 200 were soldiers. They could easily settle down and build a small village; but they always remained moving, because it was what their ancestors knew and taught them.
The two tribes greeted each other warmly; it was in the settled villages' principles to let visitors have a safe place to sleep for the night. Then they would trade goods; both for compensation for the hospitality, and to obtain materials both groups needed.
It was a very friendly exchange; the goods were traded at fair rates, and disagreements were resolved with words, not bloodshed. All would benefit from the exchange.
But on a distant hillside, trouble was afoot. A tribe of barbarian savages looked down upon the village, and could not believe their luck.
"Ah, the village is most fruitful today; both a settled tribe and nomadic tribe. Two for the price of one. Supplies will be plentiful" one warrior grinned.
"they'll be so busy with each other, we'll be able to swoop in and wipe them out! Warriors, ready your blades! Tonight, we feast!" The chief called out, as all the barbarians cheered and yelled.
In the distance from a watchtower though, a scout saw them and sounded the alarm, "Barbarians! prepare the troops!" he called.
Scared villagers ran to places they thought were safe as the two tribes pooled their warriors together for defending the town. All together, there would be 700 defenders against a barbarian tribe with at least 1,000 members. And indeed, though the barbarians were surprised to see them in formation when they prepared to charge, they could only grin.
"Ah, a challenge! Shall make our victory all the much sweeter!" The chief called out.
And so, meeting the force of 700 was a barbarian horde numbering 500. But coming in from another direction, another 200 barbarians swept through the town with almost no resistance. Their job was simple- steal, destroy, repeat.
So although the defenders did their best to hold of the barbarians, they could not spare enough men to match the men in town. Villagers watched in horror as innocent people were killed right in front of them, entire stores picked clean of anything useful, then set on fire or destroyed outright. The barbarians were having a blast, killing and pillaging.
"These are our food and supplies now! Stay out of our way, or die!" they would call out, and many watched in fear as the town was destroyed.
With the main force, the defenders fought their hardest, and successfully repelled this force. The barbarians, though unlimited in stamina, found that often times their weapons could not last as long as themselves. It was not unheard of for a barbarian blade to break against the armor of a peaceful giant armor set.
"Our brothers have looted the town! Quickly brothers, back to our camp! Tonight we feast!" The chief called out as the surviving barbarian warriors fell back to feast upon their stolen food.
When the dust had settled, nearly 250 barbarians, and 60 defenders lay dead, in addition to 300 innocent civilians. More than 1/3 of the village had been destroyed, but a little over half had been looted. The peaceful giants who were not mourning loved ones or cleaning up the mess were angry at the barbaric giants.
"They always do this! Every several months, a raid to steal our goods! No means of farming, and no means of making their own resources to our level of quality! Those damn savages have leached off us long enough I say, who is with me!" A giant warrior called out. Others shouted in agreement, while the chief of the nomadic tribe came to the chief of the settled tribe. "We shall help you rebuild; today, your burdens are our burdens" he declared. The other chief nodded.
So, the peaceful giants went on cleaning their mess.
But in the barbarian camp, they were practically celebrating; feasting upon their stolen food, and fighting over the other stolen goods.
"To a grand haul this fine day!" the chief said as he raised a glass, "and to our fallen brothers, who chose to die gloriously this day!" he said, as everyone in the camp drank to them. This was their way of life; when there were no herds to follow, they raided villages to get food.
So on this night, two very distinct events took place- the barbarians feasted and celebrated, while the peaceful giants mourned and rebuilt.

3/4 of the giants were barbarians; bloodthirsty savages who knew nothing beyond warfare, pillaging and destruction. At least, that was all that was ever seen of them. For them, warfare was a way of life. This story is one of many that show the differences in how the tribes operate.
...........
It was a dreary time for the world. A large majority of the Barbarian Giants' attacks on settlements on many different species were beginning to get get out of hand, so the Peaceful Tribes had teamed up with the Colormen, most notably the Cerulean Giants, and were beginning their counterattack towards all the Barbarian tribes all over Europe, and even a bit beyond...
In an abandoned Peaceful Giant village, a 'barbarian' tribe of giants had settled among the ruins and were currently trying to start a life. With the attacks happening, it was no longer safe to pillage and these barbarians had come to the agreement it was safer to survive in this village for the time being. They figured after hearing the previous residents had abandoned the village to join a bigger, more successful tribe in their campaign to eliminate other Barbaric Tribes, they wouldn't mind if they lived upon the remains...
A duo of warriors had returned from gathering some food in the forest, and ran into their tribe's chief...
"Ah, Chief! We were hunting in the forests, when we had an idea, we caught a few animals and we saw all those fences in the village and thought we could keep them enclosed..." said one warrior
"Yes, maybe raise their young up, then kill the parents for food, and keep repeating... Then we wouldn't have to hunt in the forests all the time..." added the other warrior
"That's an interesting concept... Actually, I think we saw the enemy keep strange animals in their villages when we pillaged, but we're so mobile we never could really practice an idea like this... Hmm... Maybe laying low from the enemy and trying new things wouldn't be such a bad idea... Anyway, take the food back to the village, the other warriors need their supplement, we may not fully practice all our ancestors' customs, but that one is deeply routed in our beliefs... "replied the chief as the two warriors returned to the village
Later in the day, the chief received urgent news from the tribes' guarding forces, an army of the enemy faction had been spotted on the nearby hillside, and it was a rather large incursion...
"Chief, it seems it's the peaceful scum! From the reports, it seems it's the faction of the tribes that joined together as a big coalition!" reported the guard
"Alright, gather the warriors, they abandoned this place, and it's all we got... Make sure the women and children are safe, I do not want a situation were they are forced to fight as well..." replied the chief as his orders were given out...
On the Peaceful Giant side of things, their view of the upcoming battle was quite a bit different...
"Chiefs, what are your orders, sirs?" asked a peaceful warrior
"Hmm... It seems this tribe is not the savage one we were looking for, that doesn't matter, they are barbarians none the less who are probably just as guilty anyway..." said one chief
"Yes, even if it does seem like overkill for such a small tribe, just allowing these scum to still be on this earth is bound to lead to trouble in the future..." added another
"You're right, even if they don;t look that bad, they're bound to have done something horrendous in the past..." responded a third
"Yes sirs..." replied the warrior as he went to deliver the orders
The warriors of the Barbaric Tribe, totaling 112 in all with the chief, were waiting outside the village, with a few left inside to protect the woman, children, and a the elderly who could no longer handle a weapon...
"Men, fight in honor of our ancestors, and especially fight so we can live the way we want to!" rallied the Barbaric chief
"YEAH!!" shouted the barbaric warriors is reply
"Look at that pitiful war cry...Leave no one alive... That is an order..." demanded one of the peaceful chiefs..
"Yes Chief! Attack!" screamed the peaceful warrior as the entire Peaceful Giant army charged towards the village
The barbarians tried to hold out, but the first 40 barbarians that held a defensive line fell upon impact with the charge. The Chief, being in the second row behind the line, gave a final life-filled shout to his soldiers...
"Men! This is my final order! Fall back and protect the village! This is the only chance we have to protect what we hold dear! Don't waste it!" afterwards, the blade of Peaceful Giants' Chiefs was removed from his gullet as the barbaric chief fell to the ground, dead...
"What a pitiful man... And he called himself a warrior... Carry on men! We must eliminate the scourge of the land! They are evil incarnate and barbarians none the less! Don't stop now!" shouted the chief as his soldiers charged onward...
Though their backs were turned and their numbers thinning, the Barbarians refused to ignore the final order of their leader, a warrior's pride if you will, for even if they looked like cowards, they were following their beliefs as warriors to protect what they hold dear...
As the barbarian warriors flooded back into the village, the peaceful army was not too far behind. Before the barbarians could equip the women and children to help in the efforts, the last of the warriors were cornered and then killed by the larger, better quipped army...
"Sir, we have eliminated the armed forces of this barbaric tribe, what should we do about the women, children and elderly?" asked a soldier
"I gave you an order... KILL THEM ALL! LEAVE NOT ONE OF THESE PIECES OF SCUM ALIVE!" shouted the chief as the soldier fearfully agreed as the rest of the soldiers followed suit...
The Peaceful Giants thus began barging into houses and beheading all of the people in the village. No matter the age, gender, or health condition, they all fell by the swift slash of a blade...
A peaceful giant warrior cornered an old man and was just about ready to kill him...
"Please! Why do you kill us? We are just old soldiers, women, or even youths who have yet to live life! What have we done to harm you? This village was abandoned when we found it, we swear! We haven't even pillaged in years because of your actions towards our kin! What more could you want from us?" asked the elderly barbarian
"Simple, just you existing is a crime in our eyes! Even if you say you haven't 'pillaged' I find that hard to believe since that's what you are, savages! Your tribe has done probably something in the past to OUR kin just BECAUSE you are barbarians! We will now give them peace since you probably enjoyed killing them back then! NOW DIE!" shouted the peaceful soldier as he chopped off the elderly barbarian's head and the repeatedly slashed at his corpse, further defiling him...
After a while, the Peaceful Giant Army had finished eliminating the remainder of the Barbarian Tribe, and was returning back to their tribe's village, and on the road out of the village, two barbarians next to a couple of dead animals were found lying on the road, a few soldiers went to pick up the dead animals until they were stopped by a chief...
"Don't you dare touch that infected barbarian food! Toss it with the rest of the filth like it should be!" yelled the chief as the peaceful soldiers left the dead animals be and began to laugh as they kicked the dead animals and barbarians into a nearby ditch...
The Peaceful Giant Army marched all the way home, not even taking any spoils from one of their kin's former villages, never to remember this 'skirmish' due to a massive battle with the Colormen that occurred a while after this that became more memorable, only a few oral accounts remain...
A coalition of five Peaceful Giant Tribes' chiefs and elite warriors numbering 1,250 in total against a small Barbaric Tribe totaling 200, including the woman and children, was no match for army of the Peaceful Giants, and no one was spared from this encounter... All the Barbaric Tribe's people were completely and utterly annihilated, with only about 80 soldiers from the enemy falling before the barbarians... It is said that the village's walls and buildings were stained red... Though the Peaceful Giants claimed victory in this encounter, it was certainly a loss of humanity on both sides...

(This story was put into this thread because it works out better than creating another thread)
While it has been hinted at that the Peaceful giants came to the Colormen for help against the barbarians, to date it has never been explained why, the "event zero" if you will, that caused them to turn to the Colormen for help, and the start of the "War of the Giants" if you will. For the first time, we present the events that lead to the peaceful giants finally rising against the barbaric giants that terrorized them for so long.
......
"Are you sure we must do this?" The young giant asked his father.
"Yes; you must go to Sodor and look for them. If the rumors are true, then in this dark hour, they are the only ones who can help us" his father explained.
For generations, in Northern Europe there was a rather large settlement of Peaceful giants. They were a simple, agrarian people who farmed what they needed and traded the rest. Their techniques and respect for the land led to great harvests and plentiful food.
And yet, they were at the mercy of "those beyond the mountains" as they called them. Six separate barbarian tribes, who made their settlements up there, looked down upon the village, and because they were a warlike people, successfully intimidated them into submission. For you see, one on one, the Peaceful giant settlement was larger than any of the six. But combined, all six villages had number that were a little over 2 times as many people. And all six tribes made the exact same demand:
"You will, once every month, give us a tribute of food, or we shall destroy your entire village!" They declared.
Because almost everyone was farmers or simple craftsmen, they could not fight back, and each of the six tribes would come down and get their food. As the generations went on, they demanded more and more... until it happened. A blight resulted in a low yield of crops, and they were unable to provide. Enraged, the barbaric giants warned them to provide, or die. But years of tension finally burst.
"You will not get a crumb! Your parasitic ways cease now!" A village elder proclaimed. But the six tribes, in a rare moment of solidarity (they tended to fight among themselves) gave a grim warning.
"Two weeks from now, every warrior from all six of our tribes will descend on this village. If you do not give us enough food to satisfy us for the winter, your village will be destroyed, and your blood will stain the rivers red. Your time starts now" and the barbaric chief left them.
"At least he's not like those others who just attack as they please with no restraint" one elder pointed out.
But one male giant had an idea... "I've heard tales of an order of males on Sodor who practice magic and accept the "special" creatures such as ourselves" and he explained.
(back in the present)
"The four of you have a very important task. You must now go to the Island called Sodor, and look for the Colormen. I only hope that the sworn protectors of Sodor are willing to come onto what they consider the mainland" the elder giant said.
It took them only two days to reach Sodor, and when they arrived in the nearest town, naturally the townspeople were scared, until...
"WAAAIIIITTTT!!!" One of the giants boomed. They all stopped.
"Please... please we mean you no harm! We desire an audience with the ones you call The Colormen... we beg you to tell us, where is the Great Hall?!" They said, on their knees begging.
"I can take you there" one man said. He was dressed in a monochrome Orange robe. "The man you will want to speak to is the Man In Blue, our leader. Follow me" he stated.
Eventually, they reached the Great Hall, where the giants had to wait outside. Eventually, a man in a similar, monochrome blue robe appeared.
"Welcome giants, to the Great Hall of the Colormen. I am the Man In Blue; what brings you here?"
"We have come to beg for the help of your Colormen; for a great evil threatens our village!" One stated.
They proceeded to tell Man In Blue about the raiding, unprovoked warfare, pillaging, destruction and atrocities committed by the barbaric giants. And it wasn't just them, all over Europe and even beyond, stories were told of peaceful tribes being ransacked by barbarians just so they could get food and supplies.
"They know nothing beyond warfare! They steal our food because they can't grow or raise it themselves. They steal our goods because they can't make them themselves. They few trades they do know are ones that assist them in their nonstop war on everything! We beg you, help us! We just want to live in peace!" They said, practically begging. Man In Blue thought it over.
"Well, the forces we have been observing have been silent for a long time. And Sodor is in a good position right now. All right, we shall lend our assistance" Man In Blue stated.
"THANK YOU!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" they said, in tears.
"However, we have one condition..." Man In Blue explained.
"What is it?" One of the giants asked.
"Perhaps it is best we go to your village and discuss it with your leaders" Man In Blue said. An hour later, 200 Colormen were ready to go.
"So few of you?" One giant asked, concerned.
"Trust us; we will be more than enough" one Colorman grinned.
"Now we must make haste; if my calculations are correct, by the time we return to your village, we will only have... 10 days to get plans together" Man In Blue explained.
The next two days, the giants and Colormen moved almost nonstop, determined to return to the village as early as possible. They returned to the village as the sun rose on the fourth day of their given time, and as they came into the village, many giants cheered or expressed relief.
"Bless our beloved ancestors, for at last hope has come!" one elder declared.
The Colormen were brought before the village leader, who explained the situation.
"...and in ten days time, they will descend upon us! You are our only hope in beating them off! We will pay whatever you wish, just name your price" the leader declared.
"We will not require payment" Man In Blue explained. "We just need you to answer one question" Man In Blue said.
"What is it?" The chief asked.
"Tell me... you seem to have declared war, more or less, but what is your end goal? Are you after justice, or revenge?"
"I'm not sure I understand" The Chief asked.
"If we are to help you, you need to understand that we are a force for good; our powers are strongest when fighting for the defense of others. But we need to know how noble your cause is. Why do you want to fight against the barbarians? Is it revenge for taking away your food?" Man In Blue asked.
"No! That is only the smallest part of why we fight!" The chief exclaimed, shocked.
"Then... why?" Man In Blue asked.
"We fight... we fight to defend our way of life. We are a simple people here, almost all of us are farmers or craftsmen. We have never raised a weapon in anger, and to be honest, the idea of fighting another tribe we find frightening. But if it is what must be done to ensure our way of life, then we are prepared to make that sacrifice. We have tried reasoning with them, but they never listen. They see us as nothing more than a supply of food. The lands we till have blessed us for generations. We never wished ill will onto anyone and yet... and yet they saw it fit to leech off our hard work. Every year they demanded more and more food, leaving less and less for us. All we want is to be free of those parasitic tyrants that leach off our harvest. Please, help us fight against them. Not as revenge for what they stole, but to defend our way of life, so we can prosper for future generations, and live in peace farming the land we care for so much" the chief finished.
Man In Blue said nothing for a few minutes, until...
"And that is the answer I was looking for. We shall help you defend against these barbarians" Man In Blue declared. The peaceful giants cheered.
"Oh, thank you sirs! What do we need to do?"
"Are there neighboring tribes?" Man In Blue asked.
"Yes; all are not even a day's walk from here; why?" The chief asked.
"Let us move then, we have a lot of work to do" Man In Blue declared.
And so, the Colormen proceeded to divide and conquer to accomplish the tasks at hand. The 3 neighboring villages, who had dealt with barbarian raids in the past, felt sympathy for their neighbors, and agreed to send warriors to help.
From other tribes, the giants obtained swords, spears and bows and arrows to fight back. In exchange, there would be mutual cooperation to deal with all the barbarians that had been plaguing them in the area. The dreaded day came closer, and the giants who volunteered had to receive a crash course in how to defend themselves in the upcoming battle.
"Leave the bulk of the fighting to us; we will be your shield in this battle" Man In Red assured.
"But how can you, who are so small, stand on even ground with the barbarians who tower over you?" one elder asked.
"Not necessarily" Man In Blue explained. A small group of Colormen stepped forward.
"Show them" Man In Blue said.
The giants were amazed to see the group grow to their size. From the color, they recognized who they were immediately.
"The Cerulean Giants!? You are humans?" One chief asked, shocked.
"Yes; our artifacts and training allow us unique powers our brothers do not have. We will fight by your side in the upcoming battle" Man In Cerulean declared.
Everyone cheered at this declaration, as final arrangements were made.
The next day, it happened. A large horde of barbaric giant warriors marched down upon the village, expecting their food.
"Your time is up! I hope you provide the food we demanded, otherwise your village will be flattened!" The barbaric chief declared. But what he saw angered him.
Instead of the food, there was an army of giants and humans. One human stepped forward.
"Giants from the mountains, I am the Man In Blue, of the Sudrian Colormen" he declared.
"Human meat? Well, I suppose..." the barbaric chief began.
"Wrong!" Man In Blue thundered. "You have terrorized and leached off this village long enough! This is a warning: Return to the mountains from which you came, and never return! From now on, the crops of this village belong only to the village, unless fairly traded for other goods!" Man In Blue informed them.
"It is you who is wrong! Surrender your food or die!" Another chief boomed. "You are outmatched!" He declared.
"No... it is YOU who is outmatched" A voice declared. Suddenly, half a dozen figures revealed themselves. They wore similar shades of a color, and even the barbaric giants recognized them.
"So, the Cerulean Giants of Legend; you dare mock them?" One leader taunted.
"Oh, I assure you" Man In Cerulean said. Then, he did a powerful display of magic. "We are no legends" He grinned.
The chiefs were furious. "ATTACK!!!" And the barbarian giants proceeded to charge at the assembled group.
What happened next is said to have shocked the world to its core. The Colormen's powers were unlike any the barbaric giants had ever seen. The barbaric giants never backed down; it was considered shameful to surrender after all. They would sooner fight to the death than be taken as prisoners of war.
Inspired by the Colormen, the peaceful giants found the courage to fight back against the barbarians and finally take action against the tyrants that oppressed them for so long.
When the dust settled as the sun began to set, the battle ended concluded with one of the greatest victories the medieval world had ever seen.
The peaceful giants had about 120 wounded fighters, and the Colormen about 42 wounded. And yet... none had died. The barbarians army that threatened to destroy them though, was completely wiped out. Not one survivor among them.
"They would sooner die than be taken prisoner; it is the way of the barbarian" the chief noted.
"A shame; if only they could recognize the idea of trade, then maybe we could have avoided this battle all together" Man In Yellow mused.
"Perhaps, but that is doubtful; they know nothing beyond warfare. Any attempt to reason with them is futile" the peaceful chief explained.
In the distance on the mountainside, scouts from the barbarian villages could not believe what they just saw.
"They're... they're all dead!?" One exclaimed.
"AGRARIAN SCUM!!" one yelled. "YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS! I SWEAR IT!" he continued. But he was met with a harsh reply from the Man In Cerulean.
"You barbarians are so stubborn you can't even see the truth! Open your eyes to what is before you! All your warriors are dead, and no doubt all that is left of your tribes are the women and children! There is no point in remaining here anymore! Return to your villages and leave! Find another land to call your own, for this tribe can no longer be leached by your kind" he declared.
Disgusted, the scouts left to inform their villages of what happened.
From that day on, the agrarian village was left in peace. Though some volunteered to continue the fight against the "parasitic barbarians" the majority returned to their fields and crafts, finally free of the barbarians that plagued them for generations.
The word of this victory spread, and soon, the peaceful giants from all over began sending messengers to the Colormen, appealing to them for assistance in dealing with the barbarians.
But for now, it was time for the Colormen to deal with the tribes the neighboring villages spoke of.
"Shouldn't we finish off their villages? They could strike back any day!" The chief asked before the Colormen left that day.
"No; raiding their village to kill the women and children would make us no better than them. Let them be; they started this war, now let them deal with the consequences" Man In Blue said sternly.
Time moved on, and when winter came, the community found itself with plenty of food to last the winter.
And what happened to the barbarians, you may ask? They proved to be so stubborn, they refused to leave their villages. No one knows exactly what happened, but when scouts came to investigate the villages in the spring, they found abandoned huts in a state of disrepair... and many, many graves. The scouts, unsure what to say, simply reported that the villages had been abandoned. Though to be fair, this was not a lie.

In this story, we explore what happened the made the barbarian giants become associated with "unprovoked warfare"
.........
In the earliest generations of the giants, two distinct groups were forming, based on where they lived and what skills took precedence in survival. One group was more peaceful; from the humans they figured out how to farm and domesticate animals. Though many settled in towns and villages, others remained nomadic, but benefited from crafts and knowledge that these settled giants also possessed. They came to be known as the peaceful giants.
The other side, was more warlike and savage. Though some were settled in villages, many were nomadic and followed the herds, since they did not know how to farm or domesticate animals. They went to war with anyone and everyone they came in contact with to get food and resources; sometimes as a matter of survival, other times for the sake of going to war. They came to be known as the barbaric giants.
Why did they go to war, even when unprovoked? It all started back when there were far fewer barbaric tribes of giants.
Back when there were only 28 tribes of barbaric giants, in one of the rare instances of civility among them, they had come together to establish something of a pact; they wanted to see why they were going to war with each other and outside groups so frequently, and after many days of discussion, one barbaric tribe chief finally figured out the situation.
"It would seem that when we break it down, there are seven primary reasons why we all go to war. In some tribes, one takes precedence over the other. Therefore, I have devised a system that will make sense to all of us" he explained. And thus, the seven paths to warfare were born.
"Each path serves as the focus of a tribe's reason for going to war. They are as follows:
The Path of Prydee- Going to war for the sake of proving self-worth. Those who follow Prydee go to battle for self-glory; whether it is to die gloriously in battle, or win a great victory, the end goal of this path is to satisfy oneself with knowing your self-worth means something.
The Path of Greede- Going to war for the sake of power. When a tribe desires to control as much as they could, and will battle for land just because it was there
The Path of Luuste- Going to war for the love of war itself. In short, following this path means attacking anything and everything that is not part of one's own tribe
The Path of Envvie- Going to war to take over or away. If another tribe had better land, war would be waged to take if for their own.
The Path of Glutonie- Going to war for resources. In regions where food was scarce, a tribe attacks another tribe, that has plentiful food, so the attacking tribe can survive
The Path of Wraithe- Going to war out of anger, or for the sake of war. If our emotions get the better of us, we attack anything and everything just because we are upset or angry
The Path of Slouthe- Going to war to improve well-being. Sometimes our tribes will go to war just to take supplies from another tribe that would make life easier, so we do not have to work as hard, and can rest more
...these seven paths explain our reasons and motivations for going to war; hopefully now we can figure out the best way to resolve our situations and focus on waging war with enemies other then ourselves" the chief explained. Others nodded in agreement.
over the coming centuries, the barbaric giants spread throughout the European and Asian continents. More and more tribes formed, each following one of the seven paths.
And yet, some tribes felt that something was off. By the 9th century A.D. there were 244 tribes of barbaric giants. Though for 55 of them, something remarkable happened. Looking back on it, they called it "the great disillusionment" and these 55 tribes of giants preferred to be called "Warrior Giants." And yet, they shared many similarities to the barbarians.
......
Ok, so hopefully this will give me some inspiration for finishing up CoE. Perhaps this can also inspire a future story, a follow up, where we go into the "Great disillusionment" and why those tribes abandoned the paths. Tug- if this story conflicts with any ideas you had or if you had another idea in mind- don't worry, we can render this non-canon. Again, I'm just trying to spark some inspiration for the last chapters.
