Geography: New Furness has a fairly typical New England climate. It can get hot in summers, but it is generally pretty cool. New Furness is an island off the coast of New England, but a fairly large one at that. It was one of the original fourteen colonies and sent three representatives to the Contentential Congress.
In terms of geography, New Furness is divided into five main regions based on its rivers and other landmarks:
- The northern "Great Bluff" region. Mostly flat, arid grasslands. Borders the Misty Forest to the east. To the south, the Misty River separates it from the headlands.
- The eastern "Misty Forest" region. Mostly forest, sparsely populated. Borders the headlands and great bluff regions.
- The central "Headlands" region. Heavily populated, mostly farmland. Borders the Whitecrest Hills to the south, the Harkness River to the west, the Misty River to the north, and the Misty Forest to the east.
- The western "Old Lands" region. Very industrialized compared to the rest of the island. Separated from the rest of the island by the Harkness River.
-The southern "Whitecrest" region. The Harkness River has its source here. Seperated from the rest of the island by the Whitecrest Hills.
