We've all created various excellent characters and factions on this forum. This thread can be used to give general advice for writing for characters you've created.
For example, say you want to write for Fark "The Optometrist" Devonshire, from the GOD. In the old canon, his defining trait was his irritating, douchey nature and his fourth-wall dancing abilities. Fark Devonshire always has the upper hand, and doesn't let anyone forget it. He comes off as very abrasive and sure of himself, and the fact that he's usually right makes it worse. Fark also loves making people suffer, and cares more about the GOD than anything else. In the new canon, he's mellowed a bit and lost his fourth-wall leaning abilities, but he is still a very strategy-minded person, fanatically devoted to GOD, and wiling to make people suffer to further the cause.
Or what about the other Magic Underground factions? Well, the Order Of Gerade is a fun example. The OOG takes every negative american stereotype up to 11. Usually, this is the hyper-patriotic "redneck" sort, but if you want to make a recurring OOG character who embodies a different american stereotype, please do.
And what about the colorfolk? Let's talk Man In Black. Man In Black only has one goal. He cares about reassembling the prism and turning it to his will. While he has a good heart deep down, the anchor tattoo on his cheek compels him to do evil and pursue the corruption of the Prism at all costs. The more shards he has secure, the more rational and willing to plan ahead he is. As we saw in the game when the Black Faction briefly lost their shards, Man In Black became a barely-coherent mess, unable to control his powers and constantly lashing out. He's like an addict, and without the shards his withdrawal gets nasty.
His second-in-command, Woman In Orange, is a lot more mellow. In the old canon, she was a lot more "evil for evil's sake", but reboot Woman In Orange is much more pragmatic. She wants the faction to succeed not because of Man In Black, but in spite of him, so that they can continue to live without the "limits" she views the morality check as having. Plus, she has a daughter at home to worry about and is much less likely to take foolish risks.
Feel free to update this thread with other characters, so long as you created them.
