Geographic Features: Ordos is mostly covered in temperate forests and plains. The east end of the island is almost entirely flatland. To the south is mostly flatland with some forests and one notable marsh. The center of the island is dominated by two mountains and their foothills, which are heavily forested and creep into the northern part of the island. Lake Eiflassmew, located to the north of the mountains, and the River Eb, which flows to the sea in the northwest fed by ice runoff from the colder of the two peaks, are the major waterways.
Cities And Towns:
Saint Arthur's Bridge: The longest contiguous settlement on Ordos. Located at the mouth of the River Eb on the west coast of the island, it began life thousands of years ago as an unusually advanced human society, called Cordann. When British settlers arrived on the island, they claimed the city as their own, renamed it to its current name, and built a church and grand home for the bishop of Ordos. Today, Saint Arthur's Bridge is the biggest town on the island, but is a shadow of its former self.

Magic Pool Locations:
Fire Pool: Located somewhere beneath one of the two mountains on Ordos. This mountain is said to have been volcanically active in the time of Heph, but no longer is, although it is still unseasonably warm and never snows on this peak.
Water Pool: Located beneath a tidal flat on the southwestern coast of the island. Notably, the Ori-Kari society lived here at their height.
Earth Pool: Located on the northern end of the island, in a particularly pleasant forest. The "peaceful" orc tribes were said to be descended from an orc tribe called the Namahsk Tribe, who usesd the magic of this pool.
Air Pool: Located on the southeastern tip of the island, in a small oak forest where elves were known to dwell. Responsible for strong winds that make that end of the island unhospitable to sailing ships.
Ice Pool: Located somewhere between one of the two mountains on Ordos. This mountain is noted for being extremely cold and exhibits signs of former glacial activity.
Lightning Pool: Located in the east part of the island, in a large plain where several farms now exist. In ancient times, this part of the island was said to be a desert, and home to the largest city on the island, where mighty Animaloid mages lived. While this seems geologically impossible, evidence does suggest the presence of a sandy, arid desert that suddenly vanished somewhere between 1000 and 1500 years ago.
Light Pool: Conflicting information on the exact location of this pool has rendered it a controversial subject among scholars. Most agree that it lies in the forests east of Saint Arthur's Bridge where the Great Hall is said to exist, while others argue that the existence of a Light Mage settlement on the northwestern tip of the island makes that a more likely location. Others say it is roughly the same place as the Universal Pool, which is unlikely to say the least.
Dark Pool: Located south of the mountains, in a marshy, unpleasant area. Legend has it that this place was once called "The Toxic Swamp" (translation hotly debated), and was fatal to those who touched its waters. This is debunked in modern times, but it has been the source of at least three cases of cholera in the past 50 years.
Honey Pool: A few dwarven texts mention the existence of "A source of the ninth magik, deep beneath even our halls, that the mages use to mine the toughest of minerals". This is believed to be a reference to honey magic, but nothing is confirmed and no honey mages ever publicly attacked Ordos.
Universal Pool: Located below Lake Eiflassmew, a pristine lake in the foothills of the mountains. In the center of the lake are the ruins of a grand building where legend has it that a Mage Academy once existed, led by Damoni Silverfinger and founded by Heph himself. Some texts claim that this lake was once composed of magma, but this is viewed as ridiculous and the presence of volcanic rock in the lakebed is attributed to the nearby volcano.
