"All in good time... all in good time. Like I've been saying though, for now I lay low and when the time is right... I pounce" O'Connor declared.
......
"We can't just sit around here and do nothing though; there's got to be something we're not seeing here" Walton mused.
"Should we go to the location where Stein was kidnapped? Perhaps my... associates left something behind that will clue us in. After five years in the mob, I have learned a thing or two. Those at the top may be clever or smart or whatever you want to say, but the soldiers at the bottom... a lot of them are all about muscling in and having a bite that's as bad as their bark. Upstairs... not much going on compared to... oh, Blade's lot" Finn quipped.
"Well then, looks like O'Connor is in for a rude awakening then. He may have taken direct action against the police, but there's one thing he isn't prepared for" Walton stated as he began getting ready to leave.
"What's that?" Finn asked.
"...he's never dealt with anyone from the SAS before" Walton said with a grin.

As Finnegan and Walton exited the station through a side entrance can came to the stoop where they found officers already taping up the crime scene.
"Looks like they did the deed quick, there's barely a tire track left." said Walton
"Yep, this is Kelly and his men's style, fast and deadly... They have little care for their victims so they try to get the job done quickly..." replied Finn
"So does that narrow our search?" asked Walton
"A bit... Though O'Connor gave Kelly seven warehouses for his various "assignments" snd I doubt we'll have all the time to check every single one..." responded Finn
"And with how they knew exactly when to grab Stein and when there would be least officers present, they must have lookouts at everyone location in preparation for our arrival." added Walton
"Kelly's men might think they're clever, but they can be pretty sloppy if a lieutenant isn't around which seems to be the case here, they has got to be a trace of which warehouse they took Stein too..." contemplated Finn
"Hang on... What's that smell?' asked Walton as his noise perched up...
"It seems kind of... Sweet?" answered Finn as the two tried to figure out where it was coming from
"That smell, it seems to be coming from that tire mark... And if I'm not mistaken, it smells like... Sugar? Why would a tire track smell like sugar?" questioned Walton
"Sugar? Oh... That's it! Kelly's got a warehouse over in the London Docklands, right by an old Sugar Refinery, if the car they took him in came from there, that's probably where they took him!" said Finn in realization
"Alright that's the best shot we've got then! Martins! Get a van together! Finn and I will go in first to make sure, but we'll need the backup to make sure no a single Mobster gets away!" spoke Walton
"You heard the Detective men! Get a van ready!" as Martins, who had been helping set up the scene before Walton and Finn got there had the officers run off to do as ordered...
"This is best option we got, so I hope it's worth the gamble!" said Walton to Finn as the two headed towards Walton's car...

With the way Walton drove, it only took them about half an hour to get to their destination. They parked just down the street from the warehouse and sugar refinery. Walton and Finn observed the situation.
"Doesn't seem like a big place compared to some other places I've seen; what are you thinking?" Walton asked.
"I know Kelly's got about 200 guys or so under his direct command. Even if we assume equal distribution among his warehouses and patrols... he's got anywhere from 20 to 30 guys there. I don't like the prospect of charging in blind" Finn said. Then he looked down, "And two guys with handguns won't stand that much of a chance" he observed.
"Enfield, Sten or Browning?" Walton asked.
"Pardon?" Finn asked, confused. Walton seemed to sigh then asked again. "Enfield, sten or Browning? Take your pick" Walton explained.
"I don't get it" Finn said back. This prompted Walton to get out of the car, gesture for Finn to do the same, and they walked to the trunk. Walton popped it open and what Finn saw took him by surprise. There, in the back of the car, was a well organized, small arsenal. Guns, ammunition, and even some explosives.
"How did you...' Finn said in surprise.
"I'm a former lieutenant in the SAS: I know a few guys" he said with a grin. Then he began picking things up, "now like I was saying" he said as he began lifting the weapons "Enfield" as he held up a bolt action rifle, "sten" as he held up a submachine gun, "or Browning" he said, putting down the other two and picking up the Browning Automatic Rifle.
"I've also got some Mills bombs and Lewes bombs, but that may be overkill" he said.
"Umm... if I approach they may get suspicious. Why don't you go in and I'll stay back and watch the car and... weapons" he said with a certain degree of curiosity at just what Walton was capable of.
"Really... well in that case, looks like I'm going with the big guns then" Walton said, reaching way into the back of the trunk and pulling out... a Bren Light Machine Gun. Now Finn was surprised, "How many connections do you have?!"
"Wouldn't you like to know?" he said with a grin before loading up, and making his way towards the warehouse. Taking mind of a couple sentries, he slowly proceeded to a nearby door, using the shadows to his advantage until he at last came to the door. He peaked inside to see several guys standing around, including about half a dozen standing in front of what appeared to be a chair.
Walton was planning something when he heard an "oy!" and a grunt ran up to him. Walton thought his number was up, but fortunately he got really, really lucky.
"Malone, wait, it's me!" Walton said as Patrick Malone, one of his six remaining mob informants, ran up to him. The Irishman was shocked.
"Walton; why are you here? You're taking a big risk coming here alone" Malone pointed out.
"I'm not. Now listen, I need you to be straight with me- is a kidnapped detective being held here" he asked.
Malone hesitated for a bit before finally admitting, "yea; we got him a few hours ago. So are you..."
"Yes. Listen carefully. See that car over there?" Walton said as he indicated where he parked. "Head over there and tell the guy that you're with me; he'll understand" Walton said.
"All right; good luck" Malone said before quietly sneaking away.
Walton slowly sneaked into the warehouse, taking a position near a pillar that was situated closest to the corner where nearby, Stein was tied up, and the half a dozen from earlier were joined by others, "so did this bobby start squealing yet?" One asked.
"He's not talking; more stubborn than I realized."
"Patience everyone, patience, all in due time" the one who seemed to be in charge said. "They all break eventually. Even then, I'm certain we'll demand a ransom for his return and become filthy rich. Can you just imagine the price for one kidnapped detective" he mused.
"I'd say about 10 years in prison, plus another 10 for nearly killing him" a voice declared.
"Who said that!?" He shouted as everyone started looking around.
"Me" Walton said as he partially revealed himself from the shadows.
"You've got some nerve showing your face around here, Brit. You've got a deathwish or something?" he said as the others got their blunt instruments at the ready. They were given specific orders not to kill Stein, and thus no guns were drawn.
"Let me introduce myself... Detective Inspector Michael Walton. Now, one of two things is going to happen now. One- you put down your weapons and I become your arresting officer"
The the lead pulled out his revolver, "and what if I say no?" he asked.
"Then I become your worst nightmare" Walton said, shifting into his SAS mindset. "And for the record..." he said, revealing his Bren gun from the shadows, "mine's bigger"
The mobsters suddenly became unnerved as he seemed to emanate an aura of complete control over the situation.
......
Finn was at the car when he saw a man run up to him. "Hey, Detective Walton sent me and told me to tell you... boss?!" Malone said in shock.
"Malone, what are you doing here?!" Finn said in surprise.
"I'm...I'm... I'm an informant... and probably dead now" Malone said, realizing he probably just blundered, big time.

"Oh, you're one of Walton's informants I've heard so much about, good On you, I had no inkling... Let me properly introduce myself, besides being your boss, I"m a member of G2, so I've been working with Walton to bring down O'Connor recently..." replied Finn with a smirk
"Oh thank the saints... I thought my number was up..." sighed Malone in exasperation
As Malone caught his breath, multiple gunshots were heard coming from within the warehouse...
"Walton that idiot! If he goes for a straight attack Kelly will get the drop on him! Who knows what Connolly will do either! Damn, I wish I had a shotgun on me! Stay here with my badge so the coppers won't arrest you when they show up Malone!" yelled Finn as he grabbed some things out of Walton's trunk and ran off towards the warehouse...
......
"Get down! It's that crazy bastard Walton!" shouted a Mobster
4 of the original six surrounding Stein were dead while one was bleeding out on the floor, and the last one was hiding behind a nearby pillar for cover. Walton had let loose half a magazine as the one still conscious called for reinforcements, as nine more grunts ran in to see what the commotion and gunfire was about. Seeing Walton, they all pulled out their revolvers and opened fire on Walton, forcing him to take cover behind a nearby pillar...
'I'm heavily rethinking my distraction plan right now, I better hope Finn gets here quick' thought Walton as he reloaded the Bren
.....
Finn found himself at one of the warehouse's two entrances, where two guards were standing and making sure no one else unwanted entered the building...
"Well I can't have them fully recognizing me, better put on the mask..." sighed Finn as he tied a handkerchief around his face, covering it up to his nose
Finn pulled out his revolver and grabbed a rock, throwing it at a warehouse's window on the opposite side of where he was. As the two grunts went to go check it out, he slipped in the unguarded door and locked it behind him from the inside...
'Better be quick, that won't stop them for long, before I join that firefight, there's got to be a reason Stein was brought here... If I'm not wrong, Kelly's got an office here...' thought Finn as he carried on
.....
Walton had been doing well, he had killed two more of grunts who had entered the room and injured two others as well, leaving 9 mobsters out of the fight. But six were still standing, and firing at Walton, who had run out of magazines for the Bren and was left with his service pistol. Still uninjured, he was running out of ammo and cover and the mobsters were organizing themselves after Maguire had entered the room to take control of the situation. He was unsure of how Stein was faring, but he hoped backup would show up soon...
"If you put down you're weapons now, I'll have them show leniency on your sentences, last chance!" yelled Walton as he fired another round with his pistol and got a grunt, but he was still standing...
"Let hell we would trust a bloody bobby, much less a damn Brit! Fire!" shouted Maguire as ordered the grunts to shoot at Walton's cover
.....
As Finn stealthily neared Kelly's office, he heard three voices, though he couldn't make them out just yet...
'I've been in the Mob awhile, even If I don't what they're saying that's obviously, Kelly and Connolly, but the third is... Gallagher?' thought Finn
As Finn finally stood next to the open door, he could hear the three men discussing something...
"Please! I've already lost everything! What else does O'Connor want of me?" begged Gallagher
"O'Connor wants what you know on Doc, that's all... He knows you where the last one to treat him and you had him on so many drugs that he leaked his plans regarding the Boss... He's the one that ratted you out to the coppers that arrested you in the first place!" yelled Kelly as he slammed his fist down on the desk
"I told you, Doc's gone mad! He didn't say much but ramble about how the Boss didn't give a rat's ass for the boys and was just for the money!" replied Gallagher as tears fell down his cheeks...
"I knew it! That bastard Doc has always thought he was bigger than the Boss just because of his valuable skills!" shouted Kelly has he punched an indent into the desk in frustration
"Calm down Kelly..." stoically spoke Connolly as he put his arm on Kelly to calm him down
"Sorry... I just can't believe the Boss thinks you're the leak, we've been fighting on the streets of Derry for years, I knew you would never betray the outfit..." growled the angry Kelly
"It's fine, now come on, let's deal with the ruckus in the other room..." replied Connolly as he unholstered his revolver
'Now's my chance!' thought Finn as he jumped into the doorway and intentionally shot around Kelly's head and run off down the hallway towards the firefight
"The hell! Get back here you Son of a Bitch!" shouted Kelly as he removed a hidden shotgun from under his desk as he jumped over it with Connolly following close behind, leaving behind the emotional wreck of Gallagher to man up...
'Let's hope this plan works!' though Finn as he narrowly dodged Connolly's fire
"GET BACK HERE YOU BASTARD!"
.....
Walton, still had thinned the numbers and was really running low on bullets...
"I really need a miracle to save me now... Forgive me Nora for my foolishness!" contemplated Walton as let loose another round's folly
Just then, a familiar sounding explosive went off, distracting the mobsters... From the smoke, a mysteriously mask figure ran out and gave Walton the chance to down two more of the goons. The figure was now standing next to Walton, revealed to be a soot covered Finnegan...
"Why are we always meeting with you covered in debris..." sighed Walton
"Hey, YOU were apparently the distraction..." replied Finn
"Well, thanks for the rescue anyway, anything else?" asked Walton
"No, that was my last Mills bomb..." answered Finn
"They're out of ammo, get them!" shouted Maguire as two grunts neared and Finn chucked a Lewes bomb towards them, knocking them back with the explosion and fire, forcing the charging mobsters to retreat yet again
"Though I didn't say that's all I had..." laughed Finn
"Don't just cower! Kill them!" shouted an angry Kelly
"How's Stein?' asked Finn as he returned fire, injuring a grunt's leg
"Well he was passed out when I got here, but he's still more valuable alive than dead so they've just been shooting me and more or less forgot about him..." answered Walton as he took one of the Lewes bombs, threw it, and sent a grunt flying
"So, I guess now that they're hearing explosions, the firefight should be over soon..." smirked Finn, as if on cue, 20 officers, including Detective Martins, flooded the warehouse, and after shooting one grunt dead, the Mob reluctantly dropped their weapons...
"All of you, you're under arrest by order of Scotland Yard!" yelled Martins as the remaining Mobsters were put in handcuffs, and Stein was untied. Detectives then began to carry Stein out but as Walton and Finn passed by the captured detective, a very soft, "Thank you" was heard as he was loading into one of the various police ambulances...
Walton and Finn were now outside, Finn still had his mask on, as the 23 Mobsters were either put in the back of squad cars, ambulances, or coroner's vans...
Good job you two, you recovered one of our own, took down most of them. Plus, Kelly and Connolly where highly regarded lieutenants in O'Connor's outfit, this will be a massive blow to his forces. You even nabbed the escaped convict Gallagher and that infamous Lochlan Maguire..." commended Martins
"All in a good day's work Detective, though rescuing Detective Stein and him still being alive was the major win..." replied Walton
"Oh, here's your badge back Agent 0524, Walton's informant showed it to us, so he's with the right officers, though now I suggest you two try to find evidence on O'Connor..." added Martins who didn't use real names as he could see mobsters around listening in on the conversation trying to figure out the masked man's identity...
"Will do" responded Walton as the duo went off to search the warehouse, currently being surveyed for other criminial misdeeds, for clues on the boss himself...

Realizing that they were not going to find much on the first floor, they headed up to the undamaged second floor with the offices. Papers were scattered about, but one thing in particular took Walton's attention. Picking it up, he looked over the pair of bound books.
"The diary of Donagh Quinlan... hey, that's the one who was found dead when he tried to turn over to the police. But what's in here that makes it so valuable?" Walton said as he opened the first book. Several pages in, he came across detailed maps of a specific part of London, with certain buildings highlighted. "Finn, this mean anything to you?"
Finn looked it over and realized, "yes; that there is the main office for Fintan Mahoney; he runs the day to day of some of our key London operations"
"The one who killed the six-member British gang?"
"Yes. And that... yea, no doubt, that's the primary safehouse for Columba Callaghan, Mahoney's right hand man" Finn observed.
"The one who firebombed the Crown and Rose?" Walton asked.
"Yes; though I was on another assignment at the time, so I can't say whether it was personal or on O'Connor's orders" Finn noted.
"What about Kieran McDonnell's shooting up of the two cars; think we can find anything that will set the record straight here?" Walton asked.
"Possible; but what I want to know is..." then he saw a paper and after reading it over, it hit him. "Ah! Of course, Kian Considine... he's really Kieran Collins... he uses that alias to cover his tracks but... after his operation was busted I don't know what Mahoney has him on."
"Hey wait, how does your hierarchy work anyway? This Mahoney sounds pretty important and yet he's not part of O'Connor's circle; what gives?" Walton asked.
......
Outside, in the distance from a parked car, Kieran Collins and Kieran McDonnell were watching from a distance. "It's been compromised! We've got to report to Mahoney right away before he gets taken down next!" Collins said.
"Hold on, we've got our orders. We wait till they clear out, then we find "the package," remember.
"Oh yea... those bobbies won't find it in a million years; we'll be ok" he said with a grin as they continued to wait it out.
......
Back with Walton and Finn...

"Oh Mahoney? Yeah, O'Connor wanted a powerful man that he wouldn't mind as a fall guy if the England Expansion failed, so he got Mahoney to run the London branch here full time..." answered Finn
"Hey Finn, can you find anything recent?" asked Walton
"Let's see, Kelly was on good terms with Collins, he always went through our weapons the fastest, so Collins used to trust him with the intel where all the latest shipments went..." said Finn as knocked on the side of the desk, until he hit a gap in the wood, "Found it! Even Kelly had a secret compartment in the desk, must have been Connolly's recommendation..."
Finn pulled out a bind of pages, covered in strange numbers and words....
"What is this?" questioned Walton
"It seems to be written in.. Gaelic? Wait, I think this might be a code, from what I know the only documents that were coded in the Mob were ones sent from Ryan himself..." replied Finn
"Can you crack it?" asked Walton
"No, he had a specific cipher assigned to each Lieutenant, but he had one specially made for Collins, though I don't know why... I can translate the Gaelic, but I think we're got our next clue, let's get out of here, Collins will probably want a cleanup sent to pick up whatever the Detectives miss..." responded Finn as the duo took the assorted coded bundle and left the warehouse...

Heading back to the car, the two informed all officers present to "take everything that isn't nailed down" and ensure it was cataloged as evidence. By the time all was said and done, and Collins and McDonnell entered the facility.
"How did the find the package?!" Collins said in shock.
......
Finally back at Scotland Yard, the first thing Walton did was take out some photographs. "With Riley and Malone "captured" I thought you might want to know" Walton said as he laid the pictures out. "Lorcan O'Brein, Eamon Maguire, Michael Joyce, Liam Brannigan and Brian Glinchy... these five are my remaining mob informants. I know you said something about needing to go back eventually, so just wanted to let you know- these five are with me" Walton explained.

In a secluded home in the forests of Furness, a pair of detectives was investigating a strange murder in the home of the wealthy Darnay family.
"I was in the parlor knitting when I heard several loud bangs from upstairs." The victim's wife explained. "I went upstairs and found these two guns next to my husband's body. The two killers climbed out the window, and I only got a glimpse of them before they disappeared into the forest.
"I recognize these modifications. These guns belong to the Irish mob." Officer Emerson said.
"Did the two killers have any identifying characteristics? Officer Wick asked.
"Well, this is going to sound crazy, but I swear they both had only one arm."
******
At a safe house, O'Connor, McLean, and Mulligan received word of what had happened to Kelly and Connolly.
"Damn it! They shouldn't have gone for such a major target!" O'Connor swore. "Now I've lost two of the members of my "inner circle", to say nothing of all those men! We need to move safe houses immediately in case they squeal. And where the hell is Finn?"
"Is he not back?" Asked a visibly shocked Mulligan.
"If he were, would I still be here?" McLean asked. "I was supposed to be at the Monterey safe house with him days ago.
"I'll try to raise Murphy and Doc on the wireless." Mulligan said, walking to a corner of the room.
"O'Connor..." McLean began hesitantly, "the prison most of us gang members get thrown in is notoriously low-security. I should know, you just busted me out days ago. Maybe I should send Shakes and Lion to rescue Kelly and Connolly?"
O'Connor laughed. "You know I love your little band of one-armed freaks as much as anyone. But Kelly and Connolly are very important prisoners. I doubt they'll be in low-security. That's where they put unimportant prisoners like Blade associates. But... I happen to own a floor on a building that has a view right into the high-security yard. I don't want the freaks to save Kelly and Connolly. I want them killed."
"Sir!?"
"We need to cover our asses. Those two know where all our safe houses are. We can't afford them squealing. Your freaks are assassins, right? Shooting two men from an eighth-story window is right up their alley. Quick, clean, no complications, and the freaks are disposable if they get caught."
McLean lpoked apprehensive, but agreed to inform Shakes and Lion.
******
In a different safe house, Murphy listened to the news gravelly. Despite the concerns O'Connor had raised about Connolly's loyalty, no one was as devoted a friend as him, and Kelly was an incredibly compassionate and helpful man. Murphy considered them both friends and was sorry to hear of their capture. Hopefully the mob would direct all its resources to rescuing them. The Irish never leave a man behind. They even bothered to bust out that dammed McLean.
"Shame about Kelly and Connolly." Doc said, leaning in the doorway with a cigar. "Well, shame about Connolly anyway. Kelly was always a little, well..."
"Save it, Doc. Kelly was a good man. More of an Irishman then you'll ever be."
"So sodomy makes you more Irish now. No wonder you're so patriotic."
"Damn it Doc, if I didn't know better I'd say you were working against us!"
Doc scoffed. "Me, working against you? Ha! You know who's really working against you? Hector, are the pictures developed yet?"
"Yes, Doc! I'll bring them in!"
The mobster ran in with a trio of photograph, which Doc laid out on the table in front of Murphy.
"One of my guys got out with his camera when the shooting started and took these three pictures of the police forces as they loaded our poor Irish boys into trucks. Does this masked man look familiar?" He asked, stabbing his finger towards a man in the first photo.
"No, not really..." Murphy asked.
"That hairstyle doesn't look the least bit familiar? Because I know only one man with that hair."
Murphy gasped. "Are you implying that Finn is the double agent?"
"So you already know we have a double agent and didn't tell me? Let me guess, I'm the prime suspect."
Murphy stuttered as he realized his blunder. "W-well, personally I suspected McLean, but O'Connor seems to trust him." Murphy looked back at the picture. "But if you're right... we need to tell the boss right away."

Back at Scotland Yard, Finn and Walton were going over the documents, but they just could not crack the code...
"Argh! I've translated the Gaelic letters the best I could to English, but without a way to crack the code, we've never find out what O'Connor wanted from Collins!" yelled Finn as he slammed his fist down in frustration
"Don't worry, Scotland Yard has got some of the best code crackers from the war, they can figure it out..." consoled Walton as the duo went through an entire team put together to help crack the code, and as the sun began to set, Finn feared they were running out of time...
"Walton, if we can't crack this code soon, we're going to lose our only chance at O'Connor!" worried Finn
"Why are you so certain Finn?" questioned Walton
"The documents! That was fresh ink on those pages! O'Connor gives daily assignments because he hates paper trails and has all the day before's paperwork burned at midnight! If we can't figure out what he wanted, he'll probably complete the task and have my head!" stressed Finn
"Finn, is there something you're not telling me?" asked Walton
"Since we've been so close to nailing him and I been helping you with the case... I skipped out on checking with O'Connor... He's due to leave back home for Dublin soon, so if he leaves this country, he will most likely order my death..." replied Finn sorrowfully
"Why didn't you tell me this sooner!" asked a shocked Walton
"Becuase... This has been my assignment for five damning years and I refuse to get you caught up in this... Hell, what would you're wife think of me if I got you killed by the mob..." sighed Finn
"What would my wife think... That's it Finn! Come with me, I know one more expert we can run the code by!" said an excited Walton as he dragged Finn behind him towards his car and drove off to who knows where...

It took them twenty minutes, but soon they arrived at home. Walton knocked on the door and practically ran into the house.
"My sweet! Nora, where are you?" Walton said as he ran down the hall, into the living room, and then the kitchen.
"I'm here, Michael" Nora said as she walked down the stairs. "You're home early, what's wr-"
"Nora, there's no time to explain. I need you to decode this! The fate of London is at stake!" Walton said.
Nora looked it over, then it hit her, "Oh, I see! It's a playfair cypher. Hang on, I've got a cipher for this kind of thing leftover from my military days" she said as she headed upstairs.
"does your wife have connections too?" Finn deadpanned.

At a high security prison in Scotland Yard, Kelly and Connolly waited in line to be processed.
A shot rang out. Connolly was struck in the leg and fell. Another bullet hit the wall above Kelly's head. The cops left Connolly and dragged Kelly and the others to safety. Several more bullets hit Connolly, killing him.
In the building across the street, Shakes and Lion cringed.
"Shooting these things with one hand is harder than I though." Shakes quipped.
"Especially when it's our less dominant one. Let's go before the cops find us."
*****
Murphy and Doc sped into the driveway of the safe house in a large cattle lorry. A dozen armed men were in the back.
Mulligan ran out to meet them. "McLean and O'Connor are going to wait here in case Finn shows up. Where are we going?"
"To find that traitorous bastard before he finds us." Murphy replied. "Let's go."
In the kitchen of the safe house, McLean was alone with one of the lesser gangsters.
"Can you believe Finn was working for the fuzz this whole time?" The gangster asked.
"Why yes I can. Scotland Yard often gives prisoners who regret their former actions a chance to redeem themselves by going undercover in various gangs."
"Really? I didn't know thaAAAAAAHHH!"
The gangster's scream was cut off as McLean/Nicholson stabbed him through the heart and covered his mouth. He dragged the body to the laundry chute and dumped it down. Knowing it would be several hours until the body was found, he allowed himself to relax a bit. He went over to the pot and sprinkled something into the broth. It was a deadly, fast-acting poison. He ladled some of the soup into a bowl and called for another mook.
"Bring this soup to O'Connor, would you?" Nicholson asked, praying that the mob boss wouldn't taste the poison until it was too late.

Elsewhere...
"So, you're confident you can get this job done?" asked the man
"Trust me, Signore Capo, by the night's end , The Sicario's fangs will have pierced true..." replied the smiling Italian
.....
"I think I've got it... Yep, here it is..." said Nora as she handed Walton and Finn the translated code
"Thank you my Sweet! But was it really that easy to crack the code?" asked Walton
"Oh, it was fine, it was just a combination of a playfair cipher and poem code, not to hard for the best codebreaker the WAAF ever saw..." smiled Nora
"I see why you two are perfect for each other... Now come on, Walton, we got to nab O'Connor now or never!" spoke Finn as he rushed towards Walton's car
As Walton was about to leave, something grabbed a hold of his arm, stopping him...
"Nora..."
"No Michael, I'm coming with you this time."
"What? There's no wa..."
"Michael, I told you I would always be there if you needed aid, and I'm worried once you leave, this time will really be the last I've seen of you..."
"Nora, I promise, I WILL come home, but..."
"No Michael, I can't risk losing you tonight, so I rather risk everything and help you then be left with nothing..."
"Argh! You're as stubborn as the day I met you..."
"But you wouldn't have it any other way, correct?"
"Come on, we've kept the Irishman long enough..."
Nora only chuckled as she followed Walton to the car, Finn already waiting inside...
"I see the Missus is coming to, we got the entire gang together then?" chuckled Finn
"Oh go burn down a warehouse, you Emerald Arsonist..." mocked Walton as Finn smiled and lit a cigarette as the trio sped off to find the monstrous Ryan O'Connor...
.....
Walton, Finn, and Nora had rendezvous with a Police Van on standby carrying 15 other Detectives and Officers with Detective Burton in charge. Due to Walton persistence, Nora stayed behind in the Van while Walton and Finn planned to corner O'Connor at the meet up point, with the standby officers supplying support if necessary...
"Alright, O'Connor supposedly is coming in 10 minutes to check on a shipment Collins arranged to be dropped here, where O'Connor personally wanted to verify the quality of the weapons before they were put on the ship heading back to Dublin." said Walton
"This is the closest we've been to getting O'Connor alone, and is a once in a lifetime chance, if we fail, we won't ever be able to do this again, is it clear?" added Finn
The Officers all agreed, while Nora stood off to the side...
"Nora, please..."
"I know it's dangerous, but just remember I have your back..."
"I know, that's why I need you here to look for where I can't see..." smiled Walton
"Walton, let's go..." said Finn as he put his hand on Walton, who let go of Nora
"Right, we're off, wish us luck boys..."
.....
Walton and Finn waited in hiding, as a mysterious figure arrived at the allotted spot and time...
"He's here Walton..." whispered Finn
"Alright then... NOW! FREEZE! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!"
The mysterious figure pulled out a gun and began to fire, but a quick shot to the leg from Finn dropped the figure to the ground as pistol the figure was carrying flew out of his hands to nowhere nearby...
"Walton and Finn ran up to the figure as Walton began placing cuffs on them...
"We finally got you O... Mahoney?" said a confused Walton
"Argh! Damn O'Connor! Did he only send me to take the fall? I run his London Branch damn it!" growled Mahoney as he struggled with the hurt leg and handcuffs
"Oh no, then this was a setu..." was all Finn could get out as an explosion sounded off in the distance...
"That's sound like it came...."
"From the direction of the... VAN! NORA!"
"Walton began to run off while Finn was left with Mahoney
"Argh! Don't move Mahoney!"
"I can't! You shot my damn leg!"
.....
When Walton and Finn got there, the van was destroyed as many officers were lying on the ground injured or dead...
"Oh god... Nora..." said a defeated Walton
Finn, arriving on the scene, noticed a still breathing, but bloody Burton...
"Burton... Burton! What happened?" asked a worried Finn
"At the time... They... Surrounded us... They took the... The woman... And left this..." coughed Burton as he handed Finn a piece of paper and fainted
On the paper it said:
I have the Detective Walton's wife Finn, let's have a chat you and I. We have some things we need to discuss. Michael Walton too, but JUST you two. Anymore, and the dear Detective is receiving a nice package by the time the sun comes up...
"O'CONNOR!"

"Where the hell are we supposed to go? This note doesn't say." Walton said.
"Maybe not, but I have a good idea where we should go. This note isn't in O'Connor's handwriting. It's definitely Murphy. And Murphy makes all his exchanges at the same place. I can get us there, but we need a car."
"No problem. But let's not go unarmed. It could well be a trap."
********
Murphy, Mulligan, and Doc were waiting at an abandoned boathouse when O'Connor arrived carrying a thermos of poisoned soup, with Shakes, Lion, and Nicholson at his side. The boathouse was an empty, unfurnished one room building with only one land entrance and one sea exit, the perfect place for a hostage exchange. Nora was tied to a chair in the middle of the building.
"With all due respect, maybe some of us should leave." Murphy said. "Having all five of us here at once is probably unwise, especially now that the fuzz knows everything Finn does."
O'Connor nodded. "Very well. Here is the plan. I will wait in here with the woman, while you four wait on the boat. When Walton and Finn show up, we'll trade Finn for Nora and sail away."
"But what if they play dirty? They are brits, after all." Mulligan said.
"That's where Shakes and Lion come in. They'll be hidden in the rafters. As soon as the hostage exchange is complete or they try anything, we fill them with bullets." O'Connor said, chuckling.
*********
As O'Connor, Shakes, and Lion prepared for the exchange, Nicholson followed Murphy, Mulligan, and Doc onto Murphy's ship, a converted fishing trawler called the "Irish Lass" capable of some impressive speed. But he wasn't about to let that happen. His lenient sentence depended on stopping this boat. So he made his way to the engine room.
Doc was already there.
"Well, well, well. I had a feeling you'd try something, McLean."
"Doc..." Nicholson stuttered.
"I'm guessing Shakes and Lion are under your employ and are meant to shoot O'Connor instead of Walton?"
"You'd be correct." Nicholson sighed.
Doc chuckled. "Actually, I promised them a bonus to kill everyone in that room. O'Connor, Finn, Walton... everyone."
"You'd kill your own leader? Why?"
"Isn't it obvious? With O'Connor dead, leadership defaults to Murphy, an overzealous patriot with no real business sense. He'll run the mob to the ground in six months, and I'll be halfway to America with a small fortune in mob money. Everyone wins. And all I need to do is stop you from sabotaging our getaway."
Doc raised a gun and prepared to shoot, but Nicholson swatted it out of his hand and it hit the floor with a loud clunk. Doc responded with a knee to Nicholson's legs. Nicholson clawed out at Doc as he fell, and the double agent and doctor became a flurry of limbs sparring on the floor.

Finn and Walton arrived at the Boathouse in the detectives car. The duo proceeded to the trunk to armor up against the all or nothing confrontation with the Irish Mob...
"Alright, each of us will take a pistol, while I'll take the Bren and you can take the shotgun I nabbed from the station..." spoke Walton
"Aw... You shouldn't have... Well, let's save Nora and end this... Once and for all..." replied Finn
"Alright, follow me... I'm coming Nora!"
.....
On a rooftop, a man was humming 'Funniculi Funicula' as he proceeded to setup a sniper rifle with a line of sight into a nearby building
"Perfezionare..." smiled the man as he looked down his scope, waiting for the specified opportunity...
.....
Walton and Finn, kicked down the door and were surprised by what they saw. From what they could see, only three people were in the room. One, Murphy, was standing armed by the only other door in the building. The second, O'Connor, was sitting at an empty desk with a gun pointed at the head of someone sitting next to him. That someone was the third person in the building, Nora, sitting there calmly as a gun was resting on her temple.
"Ah, it seems our guests of honor have finally arrived! Though a courtesy to my and the lads' safety, besides wiping your feet, I'm going you to drop all your armaments, or else this bonnie lass is going to end up a lot worse off than whatever you're imagining right now..." threatened O'Connor
Walton and Finn, without even a second thought, dropped what they came in with, and stood there, waiting for O'Connor's next demand. This had been the worst situation they could end up in. They had walked right into O'Connor's hand, and their enemy knew so too.
"Now then, take a seat, I had the boys prepare some chairs for you, so we might as well discuss everything civilly, I'm not a monster after all..." spoke O'Connor, still with the gun pointed at Nora's head...
Walton and Finn followed his orders, and proceeded to sit in front of the Irish Mobster. Walton tried to think of a way to save his beloved while Finn tried not to ruin Walton's chances of rescuing Nora by punching O'Connor in the face right in this moment.
"Now that we're all together, you might as well tell us your demands..." said Walton
"Yes, pretty simple Detective, I'll take Finnegan here to kill and make of a example of the boys back home, and you get your sweet and innocent wife to return to a happy life without you and Scotland Yard having to hear from us ever again..." smiled O'Connor
"You know I would never take the deal, on my honor as a member of the constabulary..." replied Walton
"It's either that or we kill all three of you right here and now..." sternly spoke O'Connor as he stared down Walton menacingly...
"..."
"Your Decision Detective?"
"Fine."
"Wonderful, before we call it here, I guess you all have a few questions about the whole affair, so I might as well air all any inconsistencies, since, well, it doesn't matter after tonight..." smugly spoke O'Connor as he opened a drawer and placed a manila folder onto the desk...
"What's this?" questioned Finn
"Ah, my dear Finnegan, you should have remembered the two rules I always told you about the Mob. Number 1, never leave a paper trail, and..." said O'Connor as he opened the folder...
It's was Patrick Finnegan's file from the G2 headquarters...
"Keep your friends close... But your enemies closer..." spoke Finn solemnly
"I knew G2 would send someone after me eventually, so eight years ago, right after you became my right hand man, I started looking into your background, and if not for the paper trail our government left behind for me to dig through, I never would have guessed someone as 'loyal' as you would betray me... So afterwards I came up with a way to make sure I could expose you for the RAT you were, and the idea of a 'grand expansion' into England felt like the perfect opportunity..." laughed O'Connor
"So the whole London Branch was a sham to get me to show you mine true colors?" asked Finn
"Absolutely, I even set it up so Walton would get assigned to the case, he was the easiest Detective to exploit, especially with that wife of his. You two have been doing my dirty work without realizing it, your 'cleanup efforts' have been orchestrated by me since you both got assigned to the case..."responded O'Connor
"So what will you do now?" questioned Finn
"That's easy, I'll be taking you back to the ole' Emerald Isle, but first, I'll be killing you..." spoke O'Connor as the gun aimed at Nora's head moved to Walton's
"What?"
"Walton living will complicate things, so I'll be ending you here... Should have listened to my words more carefully... Goodbye Detective Walton!" smiled O'Connor as Walton closed his eyes in anticipation
"Wait no!" shouted Finn and Nora simultaneously
A gunshot rang out, but Walton opened his only to see himself still living, but two bodies felt from the rafters, crashing into the floor with a loud thud...
.....
"Addio sicario." chuckled the sniper as he began to pack up his rifle. He had been able to make a once in a lifetime shot with the opening his employer had specified. It was rare to hit two people at the same time with one shot, but that's what skills you got with the price he was paid for the job...
"Il capo sarà soddisfatto." smiled as he proceeded to sling the rifle on his back and run off into the night humming his favorite song once again...
"Jammo, jammo 'ncoppa, jammo jà, funiculì, funiculà!"
.....
Nicholson and Doc were still in a struggle on the ground as a mysterious figure entered the room...
"What are you doing?" asked the figure
"Ah! Mulligan! McLean was a traitor all along! Come on and give me some help!" shouted Doc who was currently in a headlock by Nicholson
Mulligan proceeded into the brawl and grabbed Nicholson, throwing him across the room, freeing Doc from his grasp. He picked up something from the floor before signaling Doc to help him deal with Nicholson.
"Grab him Doc!" ordered Mulligan as Doc grabbed the stumbling Nicholson, who had been thrown into and broke a table, putting him in a submission hold. The duo still were injured from their spar before, but with Mulligan here, Doc had a newfound energy grappled Nicholson to floor as he kept his foe from moving.
"Boss told me to give you this..." said Mulligan, now holding Nicholson's head in place, as he removed a thermos he had been hiding from Nicholson's view...
Nicholson tried to violently fight the duo, but his weakened strength from dealing with Doc earlier was no use and it was a losing battle as Mulligan forcefully opened his mouth and began to pour the poison down his throat...
"No... I was so close... My... My freedom..." were Nicholson's last thoughts as he succumbed to the poison he had prepared for O'Connor...
"So... Mulligan... Why are you here instead of with the boss?" patted Doc
"The Boss told me to deal with the traitors... All of them." replied Mulligan
"Wait wha..." was all Doc could say as was shot in the head with the very gun he had dropped beforehand.
Mulligan looked over the mess in the cabin, he heard a distinct gunshot rang out from the boathouse...
.....
Seeing his chance, Finnegan leaped over the desk and into O'Connor, knocking him out of his chair and the gun out of his hand. He proceeded to start punching the Mob Boss in the face. Murphy, seeing this, took aim at Finn, but a desk drawer came flying at him and hit him in the head. He looked to see Walton running towards the gun pile at the other end of the boathouse. As Walton slid right next to the pile, inches from his Bren, he heard a familiar click...
"Say goodbye to your wife Detective!" mocked Murphy as a shot pierced true, but it wasn't from Murphy's gun. Murphy, now with a massive bullet hole through his leg fell foward in pain, dropping his gun by Walton's feet, revealing the shooter to be Nora wielding O'Connor's pistol.
"I told you I would be useful.." lauded Nora as Walton just ran up and embraced his dear wife with a heartfelt kiss.
Murphy, seeing his chance, went to grab his gun but Walton was already on his case. The Detective sucker punched the Mobster in the face, knocking him away from the guns and in more pain on the floor.
Walton picked up the mobster's gun and declared, "Don't ever mess with my wife again, or else you'll do much worse then a bullet wound and a busted jaw!"
All Murphy could do was hold his leg in pain and wince in agony...
"Come on Nora, help me back up Finn!" spoke Walton as the duo went to help their Irish comrade.
.....
Finnegan and O'Connor, who had thrown Finn off him, were punching each other until Walton and Nora surrounded the fighting duo...
"It's over O'Connor! We have you surrounded!" ordered Walton
"Huh? Murphy! Did you get your ass beat by a woman and a no good cop? And you thought you could usurp my position? Don't make me laugh! Your week ideals of a Free Ireland would NEVER allow you to obtain the position I have! Ireland's not free, it's under MY submission!"
"That's enough O'Connor! You lost!" shouted Finn
"That's funny coming from you Finn, you couldn't even beat me! You had to hold me at gunpoint to win! You're no better than the killer I created that murdered McGrath!" mocked O'Connor
O'Connor had set off something within Finnegan he would never forget, as he had goaded Finn into a point of no return...
"Walton, Miss Nora, put down your guns! I'm finishing O'Connor the Irish way!" ordered Finn
"Oh? I see! You want to end this brawling! What a good little Irish boy you are! Alright then, put em' up!" laughed O'Connor as he proceeded to raise his fists
Finnegan gave Walton a look, who proceeded to nod and lowered Nora and his own weapons...
The clock of the Irish Mob was running out...
.....
Finnegan and O'Connor squared against each other and Finn started off by throwing a left hook, O'Connor blocked it easily, countering by lariating Finn into the wall. Finn stood up but O'Connor was ready for him, and punched down into the G2 Agent, knocking him into the wall again. He proceeded to pound into Finn's face, giving him a black eye and Finn began to cough up some blood until he got a nice right hook into O'Connor's gut, sending the Mob Boss reeling backwards...
O'Connor laughed off the blood in his mouth and began to sing mockingly, "Rolled him up in a nice clean sheet, Laid him out upon the bed; A gallon of whiskey at his feet, A barrel of porter at his head... LOT'S OF FUN AT FINNEGAN'S WAKE!"
"Don't mock me O'Connor! The fight's just starting!" shouted Finn as he charged at O'Connor
"Don't make me laugh, there's a reason I became the boss, because I wasn't afraid to get my hands dirty when I needed too! So I have the strength to prove it!" laughed O'Connor as he sidearmed Finn's chest, reeling the G2 Agent back...
Walton and Nora could only watch as Finn gave his all but couldn't topple the monster known as Ryan O'Connor...
'Don't give up Finn, I trust your judgement just like you've trusted mine...' thought Walton as he looked on...
Finn, heavily bleeding and just had one working eye, still kept his arms up in defiance...
"That all you got O'Connor?" asked Finnegan as he spat out blood onto the boathouse floor
O'Connor, mad that Finn hadn't fallen, proceeded to lay another round on Finn. He furiously threw more punches at the agent, but Finn was able to dodge the blows and parry them better than the first couple of times, though he was no where avoiding them entirely...
Finnegan was bleeding in various places, a sprained hand, a busted eye, a couple of cracked ribs, but he still didn't fall...
"Just fall you idiot! You blemish of Irish mobsters! You can't even except defeat by my hands? You're worthless defiance will kill you!" angrily shouted O'Connor
"That's right O'Connor, I won't fall! I stand for the people you've crushed underfoot, and if I fall here, all those innocents' those lives you destroyed won't be able to rest easily! I fight for them while you fight for yourself! I rather die than fall and disgrace the burden of will I decided to carry!" proclaimed Finnegan
"Your foolish ideals are no better than Murphy's and PISS ME OFF! FALL DAMN YOU, FALL!!!" roared O'Connor as he wailed upon Finn, but Finnegan, with a new sense of determination burning inside himself after finally finding the words to the reason why he kept on this case, wouldn't let O'Connor have that satisfaction.
Finn started his counterattack, throwing a nice uppercut into O'Connor's jaw, sending the Mob Boss spinning, giving him a chance. He proceeded to let loose left and right hooks, forgoing defense, and opened up on O'Connor. O'Connor still pounded on him but was losing his edge, but Finn didn't care. Patrick Finnegan was ending this fight once and for all. Seeing his chance, with the last of his strength, Finn threw a left hook right in O'Connor's blind spot, knocking him face first into the ground...
Finnegan stood over O'Connor as the victor and began to remove something from his back pocket...
"Ryan O'Connor, you are under arrest..." spoke the G2 Agent as he coupled O'Connor's hand behind his back, and then out of exhaustion passed out...
.....
Police cars, vans, and an ambulance surrounded the boathouse. After Finn's victory, Walton had immediately called Scotland Yard out of fear for his friend's life. Hearing the O'Connor case had drawn to a close, the entirety of Scotland Yard mobilized to make sure this high priority target couldn't escape. The G2 Agents were also in attendance finally happy their number one target had been captured by their very finest...
Walton was standing near a squad car as Martins and Gent began to approach him...
"Ah, Commissioner and Commander Martins, what's the status of the endeavor?" asked Walton
"Well, we have two confirmed captured, Murphy and O'Connor, and two confirmed dead, the assassins Shakes and Lion, who we now know were broken out by O'Connor but for what reasons we'll grill him for later..." replied Martins
"What about the boat?" asked Walton, remembering seeing a boat at the back from the drive up to the boathouse.
"Well there's no boat but we found two bodies floating in the water, who's status of death is uncertain, though one was clearly shot through the head while the other is still undetermined at the moment... Someone must of have got wind of fighting and got away but we don't know who..." answered Gent
"Any information about the sniper who saved my life?" questioned Walton
"We have know idea who the sniper was but it seems someone wanted O'Connor gone and we don't know who... Someone also sent information about O'Connor other various hideouts in the city, and while we waited for the outcome here, we raided them and captured a majority of the Mob still left in the city... Whoever they were, we can't exactly trust, but they were a big help, even if it was for nefarious reasons..." replied Martins
"I see... How's Finn and Nora?" questioned Walton
"We took your wife's statement so all we need is yours and then you two can go home. As for Finn, he was rushed to the hospital for his major injuries but it looks like nothing to serious, so, knowing him he'll make a recovery..." answered Gent
"Then what are the fates of Murphy and O'Connor then?" asked Walton
"Murphy we were able to patch up on the scene and since he was a high ranking lieutenant we'll be take custody of him. As for O'Connor, let's just say after what we were able to find in that boathouse and other raids on his warehouses while this affair went down, we'll be sending him somewhere very classified, somewhere no one will be able to find that monster of a man..." replied Martins with a serious look...
"Alright, I think I'll be heading home for the night after taking that statement, then, thank you Commissioner, and you too Commander..." responded Walton
"No, thank you Walton, with work like this I can see a bright future ahead of you, so get a good night's rest with that lovely wife and then go buy your Irish pal a nice fresh pint tomorrow to celebrate..." smiled Gent
Walton nodded as the two chiefs walked off in celebration...
The Irish Mob's handle over the city of London had come to a close, and all it took to bring them down was a former SAS member, his wife, and an 'Emerald Arsonist'...

It was some time later when those involved assembled at a local restaurant to celebrate their great victory. They must have taken up the whole restaurant at Koket of Sweden, but it was a party deserving of its size. Though one member of the kitchen staff elected not to show up to work today on account of his current "relationship" with most of the staff
Commander Martins raised his glass, "A toast to the capture of the criminal mastermind of the Irish underworld! A toast to the arrest of Ryan O'Connor!" as everybody raised their glasses and shouted "aye!"
"And a very special toast to the three individuals responsible for Mr. O'Connor's arrest! To our very own Patrick Finnegan, his undercover work of five long years has finally paid off. And to Michael Walton and his beloved wife Nora; without them O'Connor wouldn't be transported to our own "housing facilities" as of right now" and for the brilliant recommendation of this fine restaurant" he said as he looked at William Johansson.
"Three cheers!" Burton declared as he raised his glass and everyone in the restaurant followed in a noisy pursuit.
"Enough raisin'! Start drinkin!" Finn shouted and everyone laughed as they started to guzzle. Well, everyone except for...
"Nora? Aren't you going to have some champagne, my sweet?" Walton asked curiously.
"Oh no, I should not. It would not be good for our child"
"Nora, we don't have any chil... wait, what?" Walton said in shock before face-planting into the table.
"I guess the English can't really can't handle the drink as well as the Irish can, eh?" says Finn as the entire restaurant roars with laughter.
Nora cheekily smiled as she put her hand on top of Walton's head to comfort him.
"To a new friend!" Finn declared as he toasted and chugged Walton's unattended drink. "Hey Johannson, where do you keep the good stuff? I'm barely feeling tipsy!" Finn shouted with a giant smile.

EPILOGUE ONE:
But of course, this party did not take place until a good three weeks or so after O’Connor was arrested. Once O’Connor and his inner circle were arrested or dead, his organization crumbled into factions based on location. It was now up to the police to clean up what was left of the mob.
With local lieutenants trying to pick up the pieces and prove themselves the top dogs in Ireland and Northern Ireland, in London power defaulted to Columba Callaghan, the highest ranking man left in the London hierarchy.
With operations busted he sent out a message that all surviving members were to gather at the warehouse that served as his safehouse.
It wasn’t a very good showing; the only members of significance left were Kieran Collins and Kieran McDonnell; but even their operations had been compromised.
“Listen up, everyone! I don’t think there’s anyone here who doesn’t know what’s happened, but to be safe, here’s the situation so far...”
Michael Joyce and Liam Brannigan did their best not to draw attention to themselves- the grunts were taking a count of who was present so that they could inform Walton on what to expect when the police arrived. They fed a steady stream of information to Brian Glinchy; on the surface it looked like they were calling in some favors from home, but in actuality they were reporting to Walton on where to find the bulk of the mob’s last hold outs in London.
......
“All right, I’ll let them know” Walton said before hanging up. “Lorcan O’Brein and Eamon Maguire” He said tobthe two men in front of him, “you’re roles in the clean up have been taken into consideration, and because of your role in helping me bring the mob down- I will see to it that you get reduced sentences should it come to that”
“Oh, thank you” the two said before being led away.
......
An hour later, Callaghan’s warehouse was suddenly raided by Scotland Yard.
“On the ground now! By order of Scotland Yard you are all under arrest!” The lead Inspector declared as the Irish were forced onto their knees.
As the police began rounding them up, they saw a trio of Irishmen sort of sitting off to the side.
“Hey! You lot! Over here now!” The lead Inspector screamed as several officers also approached.
“No! Wait! It’s not what you think! We’re on your side!” Glinchy shouted as he raised his arms.
“Like I’d fall for that!” The Inspector said as the officers began surrounding them
“It’s true! We’re informants! We provided the tip that lead you here!” Brannigan continued as the others nodded
“Really? Then who did you report to?” The Inspector asked, still somewhat skeptical since they could have just been saying that to try and be let off easy.
“Walton! Detective Inspector Walton!” Joyce stated; hoping the officers would be merciful at that point.
"Walton? That son of a b*tch really does have eyes and ears everywhere" the inspector realized as he lowered his weapon. "Stand down constables; they're on our side"
Everyone sighed with relief as the three were escorted off the premises. "You f*cking bastards! I'll see to it you die painful deaths!" A restrained Callaghan shouted at the "traitors" to his organization.
......
Walton sighed with relief when he got the memo that the trio weren't just simply being thrown in jail with the rest; "their testimony will be vital to the ultimate goal of taking them down when the trials began; I must see to it that they are given the necessary protection" he said to himself before going to make some phone calls.

EPILOGUE TWO:
It was almost complete madness outside Scotland Yard. The press were almost a complete feeding frenzy as they waited for key figures from the Irish Mob, currently finishing up their processing before their transfer to a secure facility.
Ryan O'Connor, handcuffed and surrounded by half a dozen men from G2, was separated from the rest for extradition to the Republic of Ireland. Other figures were brought to British police vehicles for transfer to various facilities.
Reporters blurted out question after question, but O'Connor only swore at the "filthy British press" as he was lead away.
Murphy, on the other hand, enraged that he could not fulfill his true dream anymore, simply belted out singing, much to the confusion of many present
High upon the gallows tree
Swung the noble hearted three
By the vengeful tyrant stricken in their bloom!
But they met him face to face
With the courage of their race
And they went with souls undaunted to their doom!
God save Ireland, said the heroes!
God save Ireland, said they all!
Whether on the scaffold high!
Or the battlefield we die!
Oh what matter when for Erin dear we fall?
Looking over from escorting O'Connor, a couple of the agents next to the boss sighed before getting into their car. Around the same time, Murphy was placed into his van, and O'Connor into his.
"Extraordinary. Extraordinary indeed." O'Connor rambled to himself, "this must be how Nero felt when he watched Rome burn... to see that which was built by the people under him crumble into pieces and go up in smoke" Then he grinned the sort of grin that came with a twisted sadistic pleasure, and began laughing maniacally. His laughing grew louder and louder until not even the van could hold it back.
Outside, the press suddenly became unnerved at the laughing, taking a couple steps back. Only the sound of the car engine starting up was loud enough to drown it out; but even then the reporters were able to make out laughter as the van drove away.

~Epilogue~
It was nearly three weeks later that Nicholson was able to walk again. He had been badly poisoned, the deathly pallor in his skin would likely never leave him, and he was likely never going to be back to his full strength, but he could talk, and when Gent came to visit him, he did.
"So, Nicholson, what's next for you?"
"I assume you'll toss me back in jail, where I'll quickly catch cold and die."
"Funny as that may be, you've done us a great service. I won't soon forget it. You know, you aren't the first person to turn back on their criminal past and help Scotland Yard. We've been talking for a while about forming a consulting team of former criminals. You know how a criminal thinks, you'd be invaluable."
"Thank you for the offer, I'll consider it. What's this team called?"
"Criminals For Good."
Nicholson squinted. "That's a terrible name."
"We'll work on it."
As it happened, the "Criminals For Good" would become one of Scotland Yard's most valuable assets, and worked alongside Walton for many years afterward, but that's another story...

~EPILOGUE FOUR~
*A Small Farm in Kildare, Ireland*
A man was walking up a a dirt path toward a farmhouse. Three small children were playing wildly in the yard, but stopped for a moment to look at the man. The man waved with a warm smile and the children proceeded to continue playing as the man approached the front door...
.....
Marie McGrath had never been a pious woman, but when she heard that knock on the door, her heart had stopped for a good few seconds. Ever since she had returned home with her children after being kidnapped by that Nazi, she had developed a sense of danger that never turned off. She approached the door, and was surprised to see a young man standing there.
"Mrs. McGrath, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm Special Agent Dillon and I've come on behalf of G2 to give you some news..." said the man named Dillon
"What could G2 tell me that fixes the damage done onto mine and my children's hearts?' questioned Mrs. McGrath
"Ryan O'Connor, the leader of the Irish Mob and the one who ordered your husband's killing, has been brought to justice. The Mob's influence has waned and you no longer could be a priority target by him now that he is no longer in control..." replied Dillon
Mrs. McGrath felt a pain had been lifted, but in her moment of bliss, a realization occurred and her face soured once more...
"That's good to hear, but what will I do now? It's been nice that G2 hid us out here away from the Mob's influence, but without my foolish husband, who, while still a criminal, was the one who provided for our poor family. I can't exactly work a job and take care of all my children, I wouldn't even be able to afford where we previously lived, and I have no family left to rely on..." worried Mrs. McGrath
"You won't have to worry Ma'am, an agent at G2 who was involved in this case asked me personally to deliver this to you..." answered Dillon as he revealed a thick envelope with thousands of Irish Pounds inside...
"You can't be serious? No one would willingly give a widow this amount for nothing... There must be a catch... This can't be real..."
"There is no catch, he feels indebted and wants this to make up for the loss of your husband, and he plans to send this exact amount to you every month until you personally feel you've recovered. He's even found you a nice building to move into, the address is in the envelope as well."
"Can I meet this man? He has forever affected my family and I want to at least know his name..." asked Mrs. McGrath
"That I legally can't allow, due to our line of work it would put you in danger once more, but I will report the sentiment to him personally. Well, I guess I will be off, it was lovely meeting you and I hope we never have to do so again. It's been a pleasure..." responded Dillon as he thanked Mrs. McGrath for the inconvenience and left out the front door he came in. Mrs. McGrath watched him go as her children ran up to her, noticing a smile they hadn't seen form in years...
'Well Finn, I think you did this one right in the end... A deed such as this suits the kindhearted man you are...' thought Dillon as he began to whistle 'Boys of Belfast'...

~EPILOGUE FIVE~
......
Lord Bury stood in his office, looking out his window. As top dog in the Ripper Underground, his criminal network allowed him eyes and ears over almost all of London, and even into England. Someone walked in as Bury simply stood, looking out his window.
"So... it's true then... the Irish Mob has been dismantled Greaves?"
"In the UK at least, sir. We don't know if any other outfits will take their place. Seems rather unlikely though" Greaves explained.
"Shame... I was hoping to use them to my advantage. Those Irish may not have been the most... pleasant of people, but they would have made good muscle. But alas, we will make do" Bury noted.
Actually sir, with a few connections, I've been able to pull some strings and get some fresh recruits from the remnants of Mob, as well as some new recruits I think you should meet..." replied Greaves
"That's good, fill me more on that later... So with the mob gone... who stands in our way?" Lord Bury asked.
"Our raid on the Blade Syndicate headquarters may have toppled the organization... But Blade himself and a couple cronies are still out there" informed the broker
"He may be a ghost of his former glory... but even I must admit he could be a thorn in my side. Have a couple dozen or so guys keep an eye out for him; I don't want to waste any more resources than I need to on him... I'll need to build a special team to deal with him... Well, in time, at least..." Bury declared.
"Ok... then there's that Swede, Gunnarson. Doesn't really do detective work from what we hear. Rumor is he's taken up cooking"
"Really? I suppose we can ignore him for now... Bigger fish to fry out there, you know. Anything else?"
"Well, I suppose you ought to know... I think we have some competition" spoke Greaves.
"I highly doubt anyone out there is as organized as us, but for now, please go get the new recruits of note, I want to meet them personally" Lord Bury stated bluntly.
"Well alright then sir, until I return, I leave you to this report" Greaves replied, placing a document on his desk before leaving to fetch the new recruits. Lord Bury finally turned around and went over to his desk and read the intelligence report.
"Hmm... "Shadow" and the Brotherhood of the Dark... "Napoleon" and the Army of the Fallen... The "One Eyed Man" and the Spider's Web..." Lord Bury said as he read over what they did know about them. Finishing, he placed the paper on the table, then went back to his spot, looking out the window. Straight faced for a moment, he then gave way to a grin. "So there's some competition out there after all... things may finally start to get interesting"
Just as he was contemplating, a knock was at his door and a female came in. It was Lord Bury's Secretary, Miss Charlotte Ashton...
"Lord Bury, 'he' has returned..." spoke Charlotte a noticeable scowl on her face...
"Then from what Greaves informed me of earlier, it must mean his job was a success... Let him in Miss Ashton..." smiled Bury as Charlotte sighed and opened the door, a man with a sniper rifle still attached to his back entered, as he approached Bury, he winked at the Secretary, who only looked away in disgust...
"Ah, Mr. Ferradino, it seems your mission was a success?" questioned Bury
"Yes Signore Capo, all it took was one shot to end two of the deadliest assassins in this country... You are now unopposed and hold the monopoly on the market... But please, call me 'Sicario' if it's about work..." laughed the Italian
"Well then 'Sicario', you have proved your skills to me, since I couldn't have the police tie the killings directly back to me, you were one of the best abroad I could hire, and from what I see I didn't waste no expense... But, even if I don't welcome you into my organization, I think you will find plenty of work to be available now. After all... now you are the only 'unaffiliated' assassin in London currently" Lord Bury said with a sly smirk
The Italiano replied, "Well Signore Capo, I can't fully say I am, after all, that man Pierceson can give me a run for my money any day..."
"Well that is true, it's why he's one of my top lieutenants... But for now, please wait a moment, it seems we will be having more guests shortly..." spoke Bury as if on cue, a knock was heard on the door as Greaves entered the room once more...
"Lord Bury, I have the two new recruits as you requested, ready and waiting on your call..." spoke Greaves
"Alright, bring the first one in..."
A man walked into the room, and Greaves began to introduce him...
"This man is a skilled dog breeder and trainer with a astounding kill count from the First War... His leadership with the right hounds create almost monstrous killing machines with extremely heightened senses... Only due to a case during peacetime was he put behind bars... It took me a lot of string pulling to get him released... Lord Bury, I present to you, the infamous Nigel Wolff..."
The man had aged a bit since he had been put away, but he looked about the same as that cold day in 1939 when he was caught...
"I appreciate you bailing me out of jail sir, but I'm no criminal, and frankly, I can't fight, so I see no value in me being apart of your organization..." lamented Wolff
"On the contrary Mr. Wolff, I see your skills with animals as very valuable, and, well, you can say I see you as a sort of an 'investment'... Plus, with how much it cost me to bribe your way out of jail and to pay off your debt collectors, I more or less 'own you now until you can pay me it back, I collect interest, by the way..." smirked Bury
"It seems I've landed myself in the face of another demon, no, Satan himself... Since you won't kill me outright and I value living... I guess I will work for you, Lord Bury sir..." spoke Wolff in defeat
"Excellent, Greaves, now bring in the next one..."
"Yes, a man known for his leadership skills in uniting all the remaining Irish Mobsters in Britain under his flag, someone who has survived the destruction of every criminal organization he has ever been apart of, former right hand man of Ryan O'Connor himself... Finnegan..."
"Lord Bury, it's a pleasure to finally meet you face to face... Please forgive me for our past dealings, the destruction of your previous base was under the orders of my former leader..." bowed Finn in forgiveness...
"That's all in the past Finnegan, besides, you're more valuable alive then dead since the Irish Boys all look up to you as an idol, so it would be a waste to tarnish this once in a lifetime opportunity..." replied Bury
With that said, Bury stood up and started pacing in front of his desk...
"Sicario, Finnegan, and Wolff... You three all have the makings of a Lieutenant for an organization such as mine and I want you to prove it... I want you to pull off a job for me, together, to show how well you work well with others and to 'alleviate' any doubts I could have about your skills..."
"What is the assignment then, Signore Capo?"
"Gentlemen... What do you know about the Blade Syndicate?"
