Percy Silver, Woman In Orange, and Moltana had been in the stands when the Colorfolk killed giants who were being forced to fight against their will and destroyed the entire coliseum. Zemlya flew Percy to safety, but Woman In Orange was buried under the rubble.
She was fortunate, however, as the Crimson Lotus Clan was dispatched to the scene, and she was dragged free of the wreckage.
"What do we do, Izumi?" Mio asked as the two ninjas looked at the injured form.
"Simple. Cure Critical Wounds!"
Woman In Orange sprang up, fit as a fiddle.
"Now listen little girl, get back to the barracks." Izumi ordered.
Woman In Orange ignored this command, and crept along the streets, searching for Percy.

Atop a building, Man In White, Woman In White, Woman In Purple, Man In Pink, and Woman In Pink regrouped.
"That was a terrible plan!" Man In Pink yelled.
"It got us out safely." Man In White said dispassionately.
"So?" Woman In Pink yelled. "All those people in the stands were innocent bystanders."
"They came to watch a blood sport! And I didn't see you object when we fought those wildlings." Woman In White chimed in.
"Did you not see the collars on the Giant's necks? They weren't fighting out of choice. They were slaves." Man In Pink countered.
Man In White sighed. "Yes, they were. It was unfortunate. But we're the heroes. We have to do what is best for the greater cause, regardless of collateral damage. The important thing is, we live to fight evil another day."
"There were other ways to get out of there! We could have freed the escaped giants, attacked Dolor, or just straight-up flew out!" Woman In Pink yelled.
"I hate to interrupt the forced third-act protagonist conflict, but the Orwellian propoganda screens just came on." Woman In Purple said, pointing to a large Jumbotron on the building across the street. Raios's face could be seen on it.
"Attention Deszeld! I have exciting news for you all. Thanks to the efforts of Salfraslatar, Sterben, and many others, I am pleased to announce that the Bronze Mage is dead!" And Raios held up the Staff of Phyphyxlstyx.
"What? No!" Woman In White yelled.
"Good riddance to bad rubbish, I say." Man In Pink snapped.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Woman In White asked coldly. "He was on our side."
"I don't know if you've been keeping track, but Bronze Mage led a group called the Vile Evil Confederacy." Woman In Pink snapped. "He killed several colorfolk, and made my life and Man In Pink's life a living hell for months. I'm glad he's dead, and I hope this means we can stop pussyfooting around the VEC and finally take them down."
"He isn't dead." Woman In Purple interrupted.
"What do you mean? Is it a bluff?" Man In White asked.
"In a way." Woman In Purple explained. "If the Bronze Mage were truly dead, the Staff of Phyphyxlstyx should have vanished and been passed on to Man In Bronze. The fact that it's still here and still corrupted suggests that he is either still alive or will be returned to life with minimal change by the end of this arc, presumably November 2019 or so."
"That makes sense, in an "obvious violation of the rules of the setting for simplicity's sake" kind of way." Man In White commented.
The pinks merely seethed.

Most people saw that announcement throughout Deszeld, but a few conveniently didn't. While Silent Night, Eddie Denim, Steve The Ripper, and Lock-On John heard it in the Casino, Hohenheim missed it on account of Tug leaving his current whereabouts ambigious. Suleiman and Miraj were in a part of the mansion that lacked TVs, Percy Silver was hiding under Zemlya's comically oversized bed, traumatized after the colorfolk indiscriminately blew up a building he was in, and Vengeance Bringer got back to Deszeld proper right as the message ended. But that's probably for the best, because she was heading for a reunion that would hurt far worse...
