It's time for another alternative hour!
(note: this version has a line missing to remove "language", so it's kind of choppy)
Well, that's all we have time for... to fit in all the commercials, alternative hour can only play four songs.

You know folks, we get a lot of requests for pop music around here, but there's a reason we don't play it. You see, pop music is totally unoriginal. Ever listen to a few different pop songs and notice that they all sound the same? You aren't crazy, all pop music sounds the same, because it is the same. and here is the proof:

"Good evening 3WSR radio listeners; this is your announcer welcoming you to a special segment of 3WSR Chat. The Numbered Diesels; marvels of engineering or fearsome machines of destruction? Friends of the rails, or foes of the engines? To run or not to run, that is the question. We tonight, we have some guests who really know a thing or two about them. First, we have the engineering genius behind them, and the Automated Programming System that made history, Mr. Reginald Walkins. Also here tonight, the current owner of the Diesels, and creator of Diesel 5000 XL, Mr. David D'Levin. And now we turn it over to our host."
"Thanks Johnny; Mr. D'Levin, Mr Walkins, let me just say how grateful we are to have you on our show tonight" the host started off with.

"Well, I guess we should start from the beginning, like with any story. Mr. Walkins, how did the Numbered Diesels come to be?"
|
|
|
Post by Biblically Accurate Angel on Mar 21, 2016 20:11:28 GMT -5
"The Numbered Diesels came about from this idea that I had of engines being able to move by themselves. I was looking into creating a device that, when installed in an engine - mostly diesels, it was harder with steam - it could move by itself, without a driver. I couldn't get it to work, though, until I met someone from Germany named Heinrich Bauer who had actually already created such a device. Once I had that missing link in the chain filled, I was finally able to create a self-moving diesel, and so that's how Diesel 1 came about."

"Ah yes, the German engineer. Would you say he had an important role in creating the diesels? Come to think of it, where is he?"

"I would say that he had a huge hand with the diesels, yes, considering that otherwise I might have given up. As to where he is, he's actually out in the audience right now."

"Ah, yes. Well, it wouldn't be right to deny the man his rightful credit, so ladies and gentlemen, Heinrich Bauer."
